Congratulations Peter! I wish we could see how long we've been subscribed to a channel. Because I've been subscribed for nearly the whole 13 years! Much love Peter! 🫂💐💝
If you go to myactivity.google.com you can see this. Go there, click on "TH-cam History", click "Manage history" at the bottom, then select "Interactions" on the side. From there find "Channel Subscriptions" in the list. That is a list of all the channels you've subscribed to, you just have to scroll way down to find early subscriptions, my earliest one is from 2008.
Paused @1:20 THIRTEEN YEARS! I was not ready for this. Time sure does it's thing when you look away for a moment doesn't it? haha Well congrats! You're a survivor! Please stay with us! I love your videos!
Wow, 13 years! Congratulations and thank you for 13 years of entertainment of all kinds 🎨🥳✌ I like your square space ads, I like to see how you draw their name every time.
your youtube channel’s officially a teenager! congratulations! been with you for 7 years, and ill stick with ya for as long as you like making content! ^u^
I love these drawings, you inspired me to try more 'abstract' art and I've been having a LOT of fun with it. I used to only sketch realism and you helped me slowly start enjoying just placing shapes and lines on paper and slowly seeing a detailed drawing form just from lines at the beginning. You're an amazing artist, thank you for your content. ❤
Hullo Peter, I love Hamburgers! They are so versatile, toppings and ingredients included with the patty switching the buns with every kind of bread too! Watercolors are the medium of my ultimate choice! I was told my rehabilitation would progress much faster if I participated in an art centered activity. The trouble was I had worked in just about every art medium they had experience with! I had to find one that I could learn in and about. Soft pastels was truly a thing that I had never bothered with. I started watching videos on TH-cam by Alain Picard. He Painted with soft pastels!!! I don’t believe that I had ever heard someone even saying this? I think drawing with pastels was the terminology used by everyone before I started watching his videos! I cannot express how different the feeling is of painting versus drawing with soft pastels! It is a different mindset, and a completely different way of looking at the medium! Well, I am doing much better, and have taken to working with this new medium as a duck to water! Silly I know, but it has brought my dexterity back and my creativity is alive and well. I encourage you to do as many different mediums as possible but maybe keep one in your back pocket that you can use in the future should you ever need art as a therapy solution! Yes I have made sculptures, ceramic, glass, iron and wood! No marble as it is so expensive and time consuming! Yes, of course I’m talking like a little having done so many different things. I am glad I had soft pastels to turn to but it would’ve been nice to have a less messy option in my back pocket for art therapy. Congratulations on 13 years. I believe I’ve been around for 10 years and you have been amazing for each and every one!
I love these colours! I've been tie dying this week and have had a lot of fun with all the colours. The art supply I'd choose if I could only have one would be harakeke - a native plant here in Aotearoa New Zealand for weaving, extracting fibre. I still have so much to learn so that's the one I'd choose.
You should be here in Northern Kentucky. That winter storm brought us about 10 in all told across two bands... with some sleet in the middle to make life more interesting. In a land where 1/2 in closes us down... you can imagine! Even a week later, it's still nearly impossible to get to the busstops unless you walk in the street (the only area clceared) where cars are flying by well beyond speed limits or sanity for ice. I did make it out to the store.... no milk, no bacon, no cocoa or coffee... there wasn't even a solitary can of SPAM to be found! It was bad. Very little soup left, but i managed to snag me enough to last a week. Now, temps are in low teens with windchills in negatives... and, grrrrr, I've got to walk out to store again! Grrr....
Acrylic paint, you can put it in a pen/brush pen. Not limited by oil’s eccentricities/smell but can render images from drawings-murals. Transparent or opaque, airbrush or impasto it can do anything, EVEN THOUGH I admit individual products do a better job at their specific use cases, watercolor, oils, enamels, India inks. Still acrylic can do them all well and professionally.
Oil pastels from Michaels. I do have brutfuner pencils but I'm kinda short my sharpener right now. It disappeared a couple years ago. The local store is gone that has the European ones for no reservoir.
I have to stop buying art supplies!! i have too much as it is - evry time a medium i haven't tried yet comes along, i end up buying z whole bunch. i haven't done coloured pencils since i was a little kid, and now my mind is racing to try it out! lol! Anyway, thanks, I really enjoyed the drawing and the ramble, Peter :D
For food I would say pizza too. For art supplies I would say finger. I can smug graphite shavings or finger paint with ink. Use my nail for fine lines. If that's not cheating
Peter the obvious answer is potatoes. Coloured pencils are great. I bought Polychromos but I never use them. 😭 What 13 years? Congrats! Get some cake. 13 years and I am still amazed by watching your process and how the forms come to life. What does that tell you?
I think AI gets a bum rap. My own experiments with it suggest that whether or not you can create something new using it is whether you can come up with something new to create. I mean - if you just type a word or two, you're using it like a search engine. So if you type in a word like, "Superhero" and nothing else - odds are you'll get superman, batman or spiderman, because those are the most "relevant" results on search engines. Now, if you describe the process of drawing a new hero - you can actually get whatever you envision. Likewise, if you describe something that already exists, then it'll give you a picture of it that already exists. And people will cry, "The AI is ripping off artists!" when in fact its just giving unimaginative people what they ask for. Literally the thing they described - which was a description of an artwork that already existed. This is like giving someone an assignment in an art class to copy the artwork of a master in their medium and style... then accusing them of plagiarism for doing the assignment. hehehe
I think people say AI is ripping off artists because they learn by using images scraped from various places on the web, and there is controversy about artists not realizing their art is being included in these datasets
Noticed that too😮 Maybe give your hand a little rest by using combination of markers or watercolor for base and then use color pencil here and there for details and highlights maybe? Using only color pencil can be hard on the hand, depending on which brand you use. Take care Peter and Happy New Year 🎉
Mid journey was really fun about two years ago but it became very very boring very quickly. AI is great for designing picnics or for somewhere to offload to in the middle of the night when I can’t sleep and the doubts and negativity set in. Oh, and dream analysis, which I have to say is particularly impressive... Other than that it is really a glorified search engine.
I would choose colored pencil! At least to me it's a very versatile supply once you learn to use it well. About AI, it's definitely not going away, but I don't know if it'll develop into something a bit more useful anytime soon. If it does, I hope it's useful for humanity as a whole and not for businessmen looking to cut costs, or scammers trying to trick people into handing over their money, or those behind online disinformation campaigns. I must say I'm not hopeful for the future, but I can see ways in which AI as it is can help those who are neither of those things, so who knows, if it gets better maybe I'm proved wrong.
@@peter_draws 😍 Thanks for answering! I love the experiment! 💝 And Happy New Year! I have to catch up with your videos, I missed a few! But I'm back. 👋😊

Polychromos are great. Gave my daughter a big set couple of years ago. This meant I could check em out myself😉

Made me wanna get colored pencils 😸😸
It would be cool to see the Neocolor II pastels
Dispite not being good with it or really love it yet, would choose oil paint if i had to use 1 medium. Gonna bet its the most versatile
wild to think I’ve been watching your channel for over a decade
yeah 1 million subs❤

How dare TH-cam hide this from me for 22s 😂

So cool i love your art so much
These art creations are a present to my eyes. The drawing, the commentary = a meditative experience. A.I.: read NEXUS by Yuval Hararri.
Pizza and fried rice are both good options

Polychromos is a combination of Greek words, translating to “many colours” 😊
Hello , thanks for this beautiful drawing see you later my friend 👋 🖌🖌

EGGS !!! Don't forget the eggs.
Peter I love your videos but I wonder why they aren’t recommended more. It’s such good wholesome content.
I wonder if you have tried multi-colored fountain pen drawings.

Never noticed before, but your hand muscle looks jacked. I suppose from years of holding the pen

Fruit pastels.

I am disappointed that your nails are only one color. Would think someone as artistic as you are, you would be more creative with them.😊
nice videoPeter ! ^-^

If you have cheap pencils, you need to use gleyzine and Vaseline.
Gleyzine? Never heard of that before, what would I use this and Vaseline for?
I'm thankful for you and your videos. I'm not thankful for AI and its slop.
Is there any kind of story behind the green nail paint? I missed videos recently, can someone update me please? 😂
No I didn’t explain it anywhere, my girlfriend painted my nails
@@peter_draws 😍 Thanks for answering! I love the experiment! 💝 And Happy New Year!
