      I LITERALLY took inspiration from your video and made one..! I preferred a candle holder to the wine slot as it gives people a chance to decide between candles, a soft drink or wine! Depends how long you have really to wet your toes! Thank you for an inspiring video..check mine out if you'd like to see how I used a router free-hand to make the bigger circle as I couldn't find a large enough forsenabit! Great work!

    I loved this! I used your video for some great tips - thanks so much! I did some slight alterations in the design I'd be happy to share. I did two pieces of timber wood with a strut at the back, and made the book holder using another piece of wood connected by dowels - thanks for your video!!

    I loved this! Just ran across it! I have been looking at these on Amazon and they’re anywhere from $25-$70 or even higher😮😳 I just started refurbishing furniture and dabbling in woodwork as a hobby. This past Sunday I was making a list of things to make that would be easy for beginners and this was actually on my list! Didn’t even think of the bottom piece. So yay! This was a great video, thank you!!!

    o yes! that part about letting the kids draw on it was so good! i'm going to do that! i made a fold-away table (that fits snug under the bed and i can get it ready for breakfast in bed in 5 seconds) and let my kids paint on the top to. mommy loves that kind o stuf

    Lol, I just used some pencils in place of dowels in a picture frame peg board for my craft area. I had the peg board cut, but they cut it too short, pencils were the perfect fit ☺ your project turned out great.

    I like your tutorial. I think I might make a tub shelf using your board layering technique. I had a shower organizer but it rusts and I think wood might be better, if it can hold up to daily showers.

    • @nickthegazerofsouls
      @nickthegazerofsouls 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I definitely wouldn't leave it in there. If it's wet everyday it will start getting rotten. I guess it might last a couple years. Might start getting some growth on it before that

    Good video and project. Seems some steps were not mentioned. For example, the corner edges on the top piece are rounded. Was not shown how to do this. Also, the staining, the finished work has beautiful finish, yet prior video sections show an ugly finish. The polyurethane was the trick?
    I'm about to make a similar project using 1 x 12 inch pine (so I can fit a laptop). I hope it looks even 1/10 as good as this.

    I mean it’s not for my mom, I just wanted to try out ways of self care to see which ways I like best but thank you for making this! I’ve needed to figure out how to make one. I just wanted to know will the wood catch on fire if I light the tea light?

    • @lowes
      @lowes  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The tea lights I used come in a metal cup, so as long as you're careful, they should be safe to use with wood!

    Any recommendations for making the wine glass holder without the jigsaw?

    • @jlammetje
      @jlammetje 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m pretty sure you can do it with a hand saw as well. Just start at the edge and go up to the drilled hole. You can’t make the rounded edge at the start and end, but sandpaper should help with that.

    Should I trust a man who bathes in his shirt? Wet fingers will also damage your books unless you attach a blow dryer to the shelf.
