Luke did really well for going straight to a car with more power than a stock Aventador. I was driving my 80hp Civic last night and I thought that was pretty fun XD
@@username8644 None if what you said matters. My point still stands. It's clearly not a track car. It's a fun weekend car that looks cool and is fun to drive
11:15 - "We are TH-camrs. We need to make good content" Then go on the longest road trip through USA and Canada or anywhere with this Evo with tall Ben's latest and greatest! It will be incredible to watch! I have finished watching all the road trip videos and I can't wait for more. Do something, champs!
Probably my least favourite thing I see car people do imo. If you go to the track and want a very specific sized wheel, sure, but for a street car, why sacrifice your safety? Especially when you can often switch wheels between cars of the same brand and still plug the airbag right in (i.e. S2000 wheel in Civics, various interchangeable Mazda wheels, etc). Also tons of aftermarket now that makes different wheel rims that can still bolt in the factory airbag.
@@username8644 unless you're going at very high speeds and are at high risk of a rollover, seatbelt and airbag is safer than a harness. To properly utilize a harness you need a helmet and Hanz device which you're not doing in a daily driver
@@username8644 debatable. Do they have a proper set-up with a rollcage/proper bars, and hans device? They gonna wear their racing helmet and hans device all the time? Otherwise, pray for their necks. Is all of the above going to be set-up properly and used properly every time? Seatbelts and airbags have countless $ and time spent on research and testing to work together, plus they are easier to get in and out of, something you'll be doing a lot in a street car.
I do hate the wide body kit but the rest of the car is built pretty clean. It just makes the wheels look so tiny against those cartoon fenders and dare I say…cheap. Also, it’s really cool to see the evolution of car knowledge coming from all your track and build experience. Pushing reliability and doing things properly comes from years of seeing all the problems that janky mods can introduce. This is the way.
Ben in the LAST video: "dont modify your car, it ruins it and makes it drive like garbage!" Ben THIS video: "This thing drives pretty stock, there isnt much drawback over a stock car. I dig it, no complaints!" 🤔
Evo X don’t have the popularity of the previous gens but my god are they amazing cars. I made 620whp in my 08 X when I had it. One of the best most characterful cars I’ve ever owned. A demon in a straight line AND in the twisties. Absolutely bulletproof engines with proper maintenance. The only thing I hated about the car was the cheapo looking and feeling interior.
In 1987 I had a Kawasaki 250 Ninja. My best friend went out of town and let me keep his Suzuki GSXR1100 for the weekend. A 87 250 Ninja is not a fast motorcycle. I wacked the throuttle open on the GSXR in 2nd gear and saw nothing but sky. By the time I got the front wheel down and switched to 3rd I was already going 120mph. Luke.....I see that same look of fear and excitement on your face. Time for that turbo Kswap in your Fit.
From what I remember you can increase turning radius by installing a lancer rally art steering rack to fix u turns however it wouldn't work with 295 tires on the front
I always think of a Volvo S60R when I see this car, and how much I would love to mod one of those to a similar spec. A race between the two could be really cool!
I personally really like the car, minus those side mirrors. I do agree about the trunk and tail lights needing to be switched up, but that’s nothing paint won’t fix.
Luke rocks. I think viewers can relate to him because he’s inexperienced with 700 HP cars. Seeing Ben drive a 700 HP Evo is cool. But Ben’s driven plenty of high horsepower, very cool cars. So he’s kind of used to it. Seeing Luke experience something like that for the first time is much more relatable.
2:59 I recognize that bridge and backdrop. Charleston, WV. I've driven through there so many times, lol. I'd love to see a G&G meet one day in the future if possible. That'd be awesome. 🙂👍
The Ben’s are officially adults. They can’t help but admit they are modding the car for TH-cam. Mustache Ben’s recent video on the stock Evo as well. Boys, the petrolhead bug will bite you again. Trust me, I’m much older than you and it comes in phases. Enjoy the different phases boys.
I think it's walking under power because of the tire profile. The tires are a bit beefy. Going down to a 35 or 30 series should give the car a more planted/direct feel.
Add the intake mivec back , the exhaust can cause issues if the car has cams . Smaller turbo will work great new g series stuff is great so is the pulsar stuff
I would love to see you take this car drag racing at least once. I feel like that would make and awesome video and bring a lot of new eyes to the channel
I've always said it the evo was to be brought back from the 10 the last gen wrx (2015-2021) would been the perfect Evo 11. Course Mitsubishi motor . I own both Evo and wrx same gen models and I agree with this 💯
I'm a bit addicted to Mitsubishi. I feel like owners who only own an 8 or 9 will say bad things about a X. Sometimes as much as a Subaru owner. If they get a 10 they do silly things like remove the AYC system instead of properly upgrading the rear differential. It's like muscle heads stuck in the past. I do personally like the Xs more and would rather break down and build a X. My other Evos, GSXs are just collectors cars now only for grandpa driving at 9am on a Sunday.
Dude was smiling from the time he started his test drive until the end.
That my friend is called joy 🙂 no greater feeling
Should prob not sell it 🤔 he said was gonna sell it
That’s an evo for you
Yeah it’s Expensive and can be a headache at times
But every time you drive it you’ll be smiling
Luke did really well for going straight to a car with more power than a stock Aventador. I was driving my 80hp Civic last night and I thought that was pretty fun XD
I'm having much fun with my 150HP shitbox XD
@@username8644 you've driven both?
80p? Is your civic from the early 1900s or something?
Not always about how much horsepower yyou have, sometimes its how you use it.
My 135whp 8v mk3 jetta was the most fun car I’ve had. More so than my 373whp/389wtq mk7 gli 😅
Watching Luke enjoy as a novice is so great!! Put him on a track!!! So wholesome ❤
Luke's reaction is what it would probably feel to 99% of the rest of us as well.
Thats how i feel on my bone stock evo!
We need more luke
Luke is the best, love looking at the world through his fresh eyes, ( we all have been there at the start like him) More Luke content!!!!
I get a little too excited when I see a new G and G video
Don’t we all?
I get this giggle when I see it
Same
Same
I came too
Thank you for putting Lucas in this video and letting him test drive the evo! His reactions and comments made my week!!
Trust me, Luke will be on track soon. Hope to see him on Gridlife with both Bens 💪🏼
Watching from Kenya..Boost on that car is impressive. The commentary when on the wheel was awesome. I'm a subaru guy, but this was wholesome.
Hope y'all do a roadtrip with both of your Evo's. Maybe a "Racetrack specific Evo and a Weekend Evo Roadtrip"
Or with their sort of exchange cars. Mitsubishi Ben‘s Honda, and Honda Ben‘s Mitsubishi.
luke’s reactions were genuine,
seems like a nice bloke to do more videos with!
The wide body fits the character of the car with 700hp imo

Definitely agree about the steering wheel. Hate seeing a nice car then has a bad looking, out of place, no airbag aftermarket steering wheel.

I think youtubers themselves makes a thing about horsepower, viewers doesn’t really care about it. It’s you guys who makes the difference!
Big numbers in the title genuinely do generate clicks. Gotta entice the high schoolers to watch too.
Its algorithm, no way around that
@@username8644 true haha. I don’t even own a car, but the horsepower is just a numbe, it’s how you drive and use the car..
I liked Luke's bit the best. And those shots at the end... that sound is amazing.
You guys should do a Luke's driving expression compilation on the cars you guys built! 😀
Watching Luke drive it was the best part 💯
Makes me sad to have sold my evo X, but had to do it. Always Glad to see another person giggling and enjoying theirs!
Ben in the LAST video: "dont modify your car, it ruins it and makes it drive like garbage!" Ben THIS video: "This thing drives pretty stock, there isnt much drawback over a stock car. I dig it, no complaints!" 🤔
This car looks great for content, really! Try not to sell it. Try to do an Evo roadtrip soon. Love your videos.
UP UP UP UP! really like the idea of this! Hope they actually do this!
EVO and STI roadtrip :D
Should drive it down to stage 6 and get it retuned by slowpoke, then head over to the FIRM and track it 😎

So awesome that you were able to have the Evo x drivable even with the 700hp that it has! Can't imagine what it must feel like driving it!
The cinematography and editing is damn nice...good job

You would absolutely love the Mitsubishi Industries MHI18K TURBO.
The perfect daily/ weekend track TURBO.
Really enjoyed this one guys. Fun review. And other people driving it gave us a sense for it as well
Luke is awesome. We need more of him! 😊
I love the brutal honesty at 1:35 😊
I need someone in NY who can provide quality builds like this! 😢I wish these guys were near
Give the people what they want… more Luke in front of the camera. Because it’s for the TH-cam channel and algorithm
This is a pretty badass Evo, don’t understand why he was nitpicking so much. And the tail lights are sick
Yo he's right, it's a Chevy Volt 😂😂
I love how they bring up “for the youtube” quality meta
After Ben’s previous episode, I’m turning my skyline back to stock lol
are you actually? xD

we need a luke segment
just needs a proper tune with a powerband adjustment and it'll be perfect, beautiful car with just the right amount of rice
I love driving on that road. It's so much fun with all the curves.
What road is this? Always looking for awesome east coast roads
What is that magic in Mitsubishi that after 7 years are still aproach new content about their cars.
