Your consistent persona is what keeps me on your channel and it will definitely keep me in the future as well. To me your authenticity proved itself. While you may not be in higher tier by subs but honestly I find your advices and perspective valuable on a advanced level and that puts you in my opinion among those that have high subs. I don't doubt in your success.
Subs is just a matter of time and dependent on TH-cam's push. Any channels with a large following is always due to YT pushing their channel (at random imo). I always choose to focus on what I have control over and see if I craft my own way to success. Just beats hoping for success.
I’m right at the start of my TH-cam journey (proud of 9 subs hehe). While it can be super disappointing at the start, I always try to remind myself that most big TH-camrs are YEARS into this. I won’t give up until I’m useful at least to one person. Thank you for your insights. Your authenticity is what makes all the difference here.
Thank you. All the best to you.
Thanks for another thorough sharing. It's so true that consistency is important, and I think it's also because you consistently reflect on what you do. Therefore, there are improvements over time. Keep up your good work.
Thank you!
When I first saw your videos, I thought you just deserved more subs and views haha. Some people are just haters man... We will just keep doing what we're doing and have fun
subs and views are all in YT's control. I've seen it myself before, a simple push by YT brought in 3 years worth of subs and views. Honestly, no matter how much we think how great our content is, ultimately if there's no push, there's no views and there's no subs. But again, nothing I can do about it so no complains from me :)
You are a shining example of consistency and I find that very inspiring and motivating! 🌟🌟
Thank you so much!
Thank you! Great advice and a pleasure to find you!
You are so welcome!
I started my TH-cam channel a week ago. I just started, I don't have prior experience with TH-cam, I don't have any video equipment and just using my mobile phone and laptop, and I just started to film and publish. Not caring much about the returns on the short run, but looking forward to stay consistent and gain experience along the way. I guess to start, to be consistent, and to always learn and better your-yesterday-self is the key to success.
Yup. The first step is always the hardest
@@KevinChee Sure thing. Also being consistent is the most important thing I'd say.
A lovely and counterintuitive ode to consistency🎉
it should've been this way I reckon
@@KevinChee the breakdown of various aspects of consistency beyond upload frequency is eye-opening, or should I say, humbling! Thank u for the hard work!
I agree with you Kevin, Thanks for the tips man.
No problem 👍
Interesting comment about niche Kevin. For example for me -as a coach I coach my clients on 360 success which entails mindset, productivity, career clarity , healthy habits, parenting , relationships, personal finance -so my videos do cover those various topics because they all are relevant to my coaching program. Difficult to say how it will impact my channel as I started two months ago but I plan to stick to those topics for now
You can probably find a common ground for all of the topics. Part of running a TH-cam channel involves having a good mindset, productivity, personal finance and management. I cover these topics from time to time but I use TH-cam as a way for me to sent these messages across.
Nice advice. Thanks. I am beginning to realize now that building TH-cam community is not as easy as I had thought... especially for visually impaired creators like me....
it certainly is a big challenge
Thank you so much for posting amazing contents I followed your advice and got so many subscribers and it means a lot to me ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Lex Friedman early vids were all over the place, Ryan Trahan, Mr. Beast, Super Eyepatch Wolf... same.
Once they learned how to youtube they took off but with a consistent theme each.
They say it takes 7yrs on yt before u blow up. All of the aforementioned creators took right around that long. That's why it's so important to use yt to sell a product u make. Selling a product has the highest ROI.
exactly
Yea bro all of us have the same problem, good advice.
Good to hear
Hi Kevin, I don’t know if I asked you this before but I don’t mind doing your captions the ones for the deaf because when you have a strong accent TH-cam doesn’t always understand what you’re saying. And the captions which are for the death will come out wrong if I’ve already asked this then I apologise, but if you want me to let me know.
thanks for the offer, I have my own script ready for use :)
@@KevinChee apologies for the double comment.
You are doing what you teach. That is the reason I consistently watch your video too.
I've come a long way. I look so silly in my first few videos!
I'm struggling with my channel, but I'm decided not to give up.
Good luck with your channel, you're doing great!
Good advice for all small channel
Big thanks
Kevin are you seeing the impressions fall ? This week posted and 9 hours later it only has 4 impressions. Not views impressions ? Any ideas ?
Haven't noticed any difference tbh. It has always gone up and down for me
Thanks man I appreciate this video
Hi Kevin Thank you for your video my channel is small but for me its about the dream i had just having my own channel that was big enough for me i sing on here but don't want to be a broken record any tips will be glady appreciated 😊
Thankyou Kevin, from David at Neutral Bay. Very good advice. I like how youve re defined "consistency" into a more practical useful manner. Thanks again.
Thanks for watching. And you don't have to reintroduce yourself each time, I recognise your username :)
I have a news channel (political). Currently I have 840 subscribers, but over 1 million views.
Good job!!! Woo I feel like I don't understand how to add tags so people can search my videos 😭☠️
@@DrosIntentions good job but I don't have 1000 subs 🤣
👍
very helpful ❤Thankyou
You're welcome 😊
Ya. Those titles. Give a hoodwink. Duck and dive. Lately there are channels which I watch less due to anticipated title deception. They'll come to learn with decreasing watch time hours. Or, will they?
Do you mean clickbait?
Hey Kevin, I don’t know if I asked you this before I don’t remember I have a brain colander but the TH-cam subtitles do not really do well for people who have an accent. And it has occurred to me but I don’t mind doing your subtitles. The closed captions not the ones that are on screen, because the deaf need to know what you’re talking about and I have heard another guy who has a very strong Israeli accent and I know what he is saying and I can understand what he is saying even when he gets the occasional word wrong because this is his second language But the bot doesn’t it occurred to me that I don’t mind doing your captions because the generated ones are a bit trash. If I have already asked you this then I apologise but if not or if you would like me to please let me know.
hey. I do have my entire script for the video so they are my subtitles if I need to use it. I just don't upload them, never really look into it but this is the first time I'm hearing about auto-caption done by YT. I will consider adding my own captions in the future so thanks for bringing it up.
@@KevinChee really sorry for the double message.
I’m early here. Thanks Kevin your videos have helped me a lot even in just this short time. Still learning and growing. I have patience 😊 Thanks for this consistency talk. I learned so much from this video
That's good to hear!
you got my channel on ypp taking your advice thank you.
that's awesome! congrats
Subscribers count don't matter. Its very easy to get subscribers but its very hard to get views.
That's my experience as well but I have seen those who can get thousands of views easily but gained no subs from it. I would say it depends on the video style and niche as well.
Love this. Thank you
you're welcome. Hope you gained some insights
I totally agree with you. I have made some similar videos on my channel 😅
totally. Only those who kept it going will know the true secret.
@@KevinChee yeah 😎
This evening I had youtube remove 30% of the views from my latest video & cut my click rate in half. Do you know why this sort of thing happens? Are we able to contact youtube to correct this? It was my best & most difficult to produce video to date, makes me want to make simpler ones so I can just do a bunch of them...
You can certainly reach out to TH-cam for this
I’m thrilled when I get 500 views!😂
Hi
Hi
This isnt a small channel?
I don't know, you can do your own research by asking channels below 10000 subs what is their definition of a 'small channel'
Great video but Graham is a terrible example, dude scammed his audience and he recycles his videos every 3 months
Thank You friend! You did the subtitles very well. I use Polish subtitles.
I did not include any subtitles. Maybe it is auto caption by TH-cam?
@@KevinChee mayby. 😁
Good advice for all small channel
Big thanks
