Please discuss the fleur de lis quilt for the next one. It’s a stunner. I love this series. I love those old traditional, antique quilts. Those quilters weren’t burdened with trying to be over the top original. They loved the beauty of classic blocks and used what they had to make something useful and beautiful. Quilting had an innocence back then that I love.
Well said! Thank you! I completely agree. Maybe that is why I love them so much. ❤️ I will add your vote to the tally! Thank you for watching, sharing, and voting. 🥰
The bow tie quilt is so fresh with its pastel colored fabrics. Can you just imagine its beauty when it was all pieced together, all the elaborate quilting was done, and it was possibly presented as a gift? Oh my!!! Just as how the wonky old quilts had their own charm this one is so elegant because of its precision. Just sooo lovely!!❤ I vote for quilt B to get a glimpse of all those fabrics.
I know exactly what you mean! I love thinking about this stuff, too. This is still a stunner but boy, it would have been amazing when it was new and fresh! Thank you so much for watching and for voting! If B doesn't win this time, I will definitely be featuring it in the future. I promise. It is amazing!
I just acquired my grandmother’s double wedding ring quilt that she made for her marriage bed, and they were married in 1916!! Also a flower pattern quilt made from hexagons- all or mostly feed sack prints. Both in excellent condition. I do appreciate this quilt Mom and Dad got you!!
First, Quilt B for my vote. As to this beautiful bowtie quilt, I can't say enough. What a score for $10!! I love this pattern, it's always been one of my favorites. I love how they used the same "knot" fabric on each bowtie - what a great idea, and the beautiful quilting. And surely that hole can be repaired. One of my ongoing scrap projects is a bowtie quilt with much smaller blocks (4-1/2" unfinished) using Kona Cotton Honey as the background throughout and every scrap imaginable as the bowties, with the same fabric being used in each bowtie. I'm not sticking to a color theme, just any old scrap. I keep making the blocks until I'll think that it's big enough.
Oh, wow! I am sure that is beautiful. Honey is one of my favorite Kona colors! Great insight on this bow tie quilt. It is amazing, isn't it? So many good ideas packed into this quilt. Thank you for watching and sharing your project! Love it!
Agree this is 1930s/40s. Very very nice. Love the lilac bowtie centers--it pulls the whole thing together. Scrap quilts look good with an element that is consistent. I have fixed a number of older quilts with holes and worn binding. Totally doable, and hopefully the hole is fixed with a small piece of vintage fabric. I love this quilt. If you don't have any vintage fabric. I can send you a piece! 😀. I vote for the grandmother's garden quilt, just because it's scrappy and I have never made one of these! Thank you, Kris, for the fun video. Your parents are lovely for getting this for you!!!
It is an awesome quilt, I am always amazed at how anyone could hand piece and quilt a quilt. Love the colors even though they are faded. I would treasure that quilt and although it has a hole I would try to fix it and never cut it away. That is me I cherish old quilts and learn so much about the time and era they were made and how creative the person who made it was. Thank you for sharing and I love both of the next quilts you talked about so either one I would love to see , hope you do them both. Thank you again.
You are so sweet! Thank you so much! I love them all so much and am happy to be able to share them with everyone. So happy you love this series, too. ❤️
You knocked out of the ball park again. I love the old patterns but this one wasn't much on my radar. I recently had an impulse buy of a layer cake that was pastels with the feed sack look. It will be perfect for this pattern.
Such a beautiful quilt and since I started quilting two years ago and I will be 74, it makes me sad because I would have loved to watch someone make this beautiful quilt. I like quilt B. I would love to see how you do the hexagon. Thank you for sharing.
So glad you like this and have one! That's awesome! ❤️ It looks like Quilt A is currently winning, BUT I will feature Quilt B soon, too, I promise! I will be featuring the winner, then another quilt next (already have that picked), and then Quilt B. 🥰
Thank you! So glad you love this series! ❤️ Thank you for watching and voting! I wrote your choice down! If it doesn't "win," I will still be featuring Quilt B in the future, hopefully this spring sometime.
It is a great quilt! It does smell like that. It is funny you can tell by looking at it! 😃 I did dry it on outside on a clothes line. ❤️ I added your vote to the tally! Thank you for watching and voting!
I vote for quilt B! I have a flimsy that was made in the 1980s but all hand sewn in the grandmother's flower garden pattern. It has some issues and I don't know how to finish it. It's not a complete one so maybe I could just take off the other side to make it even? I don't know but I do love this bow tie quilt. Thanks for these lessons. I really love them.
Thank you so much! I love that you love this series! ❤️ It looks like Quilt A is currently winning for the next quilt to be featured, BUT I will be featuring the Grandmother's Flower Garden one after that, and I think there are some tips that will help you. I was a bit surprised at the construction of that one. Thanks so much for sharing and for voting! ❤️
My vote is for B. This quilt reminds me of my Grandma, and she made a quilt just like this one when I was a little girl. She cut all of the pieces with scissors and hand sewed all of the pieces together. She had a frame in the front room and would hand quilt all of her quilts. I don't know what happened to this quilt, and I am sure she gave it to someone. This quilt got me interested in quilting, and I am really hoping that you do this quilt. I am not sure how to put all of the hexagons together, and this would love to learn how to do it so I have my own. If not, please save it for another video.
My grandma did the same ! She had shoeboxes she called "starters" When she made a dress apron etc she would get her templates out and make a cut template Then she placed the new pieces in a box for a certain person! For the boys she used bright plaids with coordinating colors When the box was pretty full she would piece while watching TV! Bow Tie was a favorite It was easy and quick She favored sashing straps and cornerstones Her blocks were 8 or 9 inches depending on the finished size ! I think both versions look great and depends on personal preference and availability of material It was easier to get 100% cotton sheets than yardage during that time They also split the batting to make the sandwich thinner That was easie to hand quilt ! My grandma's had frames hung from the ceiling resting on hair backs When done they raised them up and tied off on a hook in the wall ! Took grandma about a week for a twin to full size The Bow Tie had a simple pattern and quicker to quilt ! I have several of these tops in my collection A future summer project! I do enjoy applique so A or me ! ❤
Oh, wow! That is a wonderful memory! Thank you for sharing! Wouldn't you love to know what happened to that quilt? Thank goodness you have the memory. Currently Quilt A is winning, but I will be featuring Quilt B in an upcoming video, too! I promise!
Yay! I added your vote to the tally! Thank you so much for watching and for voting. ❤️ So glad you like them both! I will be featuring them both at some point in the next few months. I promise!
I love all of your tutorials but I especially love your Lessons from an old quilt series! I’m pretty sure I binge watched all of them when I found your channel! I would love for you to review the grandma’s flower garden next! I’m currently working on a one inch EPP grandma’s flower garden myself! My grandma taught me to sew on her treadle machine that I currently have displayed in my home. She also taught me to hand stitch and crochet. I’ve always loved antique quilts and have collected a few of my own over the years! Thank you so much for all that you do and for sharing your knowledge and expertise!😊
Oh wow! You are so welcome! Thank you! These are fun videos to make and I love sharing them. They are special to me. There quilts are magical! I love that you are working on a grandma's flower garden quilt! I will add your vote to the tally. If I don't do that one next, I will in the upcoming weeks. I promise! Thanks again for your kind words and for watching my videos. 🥰
Quilt A next 😊 Gorgeous old quilt! I normally don't like the bowtie pattern, but this one is stunning! I think it's the knot being the same that I like.
Great! Thanks so much! Great suggestion! I have made a couple of videos on repairs, but I don't make many because each quilt is so different and presents different issues, if that makes sense. I am not sure it would be helpful for a lot of people since it would be very specific for a certain quilt. I have been trying to figure out how to do it, however, and I have a few ideas. Thank you for the suggestion, for watching, and for voting! 🥰
Hello Kris! What a pretty quilt. Thank you for showing us. Your parents are super! I vote Quilt A. I'm still cleaning the sewing room. I moved a chair and old dollies from the corner. Yes, dollies. One named "Peaches". She was my aunt's. All the way from New Jersey. Tomorrow is more vacuuming and dusting. Yes, I kissed the dollies. Marion in Oregon.
So glad you like it! Okay! I wrote it down! I will eventually do both, so if B doesn't win, I will still make a video for it at some point in the upcoming weeks. ❤️ Thank you for watching and for voting!
Amazing quilt! I love that the knot on the bows are the same to bring it all together! I vote for B! Sorry! I am working on a hexi quilt so I need the information on that one! Lol
Thank you, Fallon! Isn't that bow tie one amazing? Love everything about it! Quilt A looks like it is winning so far, but I will definitely feature Quilt B at some point, too!
Hi Kris. This series of what can we learn is fantastic. Thanks so much. We "meet" the maker this way and that gives me joy. I vote for Quilt B for next time, but please do Quilt A at some point too. I'm a scrap quilter, so seeing lots of fabrics makes my heart sing. Thanks Kris! Hugs from Canada.
Thank you so much! I am thrilled you love this series! They are fun videos to make. I love sharing these old beauties! I will definitely make videos for both quilts at some point in the upcoming months. I promise! 🥰
I found it fascinating that so much of the color left a couple of the blocks. The thing I loved about this was that they actually made the bowtie quilt block and not a look alike as we are tending to do these days. I haven't seen anyone make a modern "vintage bowtie" quilt with the bow being all one piece. I'm currently working on one but by making a 4 patch with two blocks with a snowballed corner and two full blocks.
That bowtie quilt is so pretty! Thanks for sharing! Also, I vote for quilt A because I've never seen it done before and it would be good to learn. But perhaps you could make it in different colours or a soft print(s).... whatever you do, it will be lovely! 😊
It was my pleasure! I love this bow tie quilt, too! Thank you for watching and for voting! As for showing how to applique, I am not sure I can do that, but I will think about it! LOL! Applique isn't my strong suit, but I can definitely talk about the applique and the quilt! 🥰
I loved quilt A. I found the pattern very interesting. I was also interested in the bow tie quilt. I don’t remember ever seeing that one before. But whatever you choose I am sure it will fascinate me.
Yay! So glad you like it! Quilt A is currently winning, but I will review Quilt B at some point in the upcoming months, too, I promise! Thank you so much for watching and for voting! 🥰
Yay! Thank you for watching and for voting! I will add your vote to the tally! If Quilt B doesn't "win", I will be featuring it in a later video. I promise! ❤️
I would like to see you make the first one A. Love your lessons from an old quilt. Makes me wonder if some of mine will be around in 60 years and someone like you examining them!
Thank you so much! I love that you love this series! Ohhhh, yours could be featured someday! Wouldn't that be great? I love thinking about stuff like that, too. Thank you for voting and for watching! ❤️
I love when you review these old quilts as I have one on the bed now. It is a nine patch and has lumpy batting, worn and torn binding, and other holes throughout where the fabric is just plain worn out. It's the only quilt I have of the many my grandmother made sometime between the 30's and the 60's. She was a prize winning quilter at one time. I love Quilt A but would like to see Quilt B because it looks more vintage!
So happy you love this series! I have so many more quilts to share, and even if I don't share Quilt B next, I will be sharing it in a future video, I promise. ❤️ Also, thank you for sharing about your grandmother's quilt. Quilts are magical. It has been well-loved, I am sure. ❤️
Thank you so much! I love that you have a grandmother's flower garden quilt, too! They are amazing, aren't they? Thank you for watching and for sharing! 🥰
Quilt A. This bow tie quilt is AWESOME. Such beautiful, vibrant colors remain after years of use. Wish we could see the quilting better, but it doesn't really stand out enough to see. This quilter was very gifted.
Thank you so much for watching and voting. I have a better close-up photo on my blog, if you are interesting. It is tough to get the white balance right and to pick up the quilting in a video. When I adjust it to fit the quilt, I get yellow. 😆 I hope this helps!
I wonder if the discolored portion is from being in the sun. It reminds me of the comforter I had for over 15yrs that the sun only hit one side. It was surprising how different it looked. Either quilt is good. The Grandmother’s Garden could double as the kick off to an EPP series if you wanted.
Oh, that's an interesting thought! Maybe that is what caused it. Thank you! Ooof. I am terrible at EPP, so I don't think it would make a good series. LOL! I do make them, but I need to practice. Maybe someday! Thank you for watching and for the suggestion!
What a thoughtful treasure your parents are to recognize the true value of this beautiful antique quilt! I’ve learned through a sad experience not all of us share the appreciation of this art form. My husband’s dear grandmother, before she died, made each of her 2 daughters a beautiful puff quilt making each small block stuffed by hand, of course. My mother- in law treasured it, but when she took her mother to visit her sister a few states away, had their dog sleeping on it. She said her mother’s 💔but didn’t say anything. It breaks my heart to think of it - I would have treasured it! I enjoyed and share in your enthusiasm for this wonderful old bow tie quilt!
Thank you so much! I love that you love this series! My parents are so good at keeping an eye out for quilts for me. I love that! Also, thank you for sharing this story. It is true that there are different levels of appreciation for old quilts. ❤️
I love when you show these old quilts. I love vintage. I think you should do quilt A next. I haven't seen that done anywhere. thanks Kris. Hope you have a wonderful day.
Thank you so much! I love making videos for this series, too. It is a joy to review these old beauties. I hope you have a wonderful day, too! Thank you for your kind words and for watching. 🥰
This really is a beautiful quilt! it looks so good especially seeing it as a whole, with the placements of the different fabrics. I would like to vote for quilt A, just because it would be interesting to get into the head of someone that could make a whole quilt of one intricate, and repeating block. 😊 Thank you Kris!
You are very welcome! Thank you so much for watching and sharing! I will add your vote to the tally. I will be doing both quilts at some point, however, so stay tuned. ❤️
Love your lessons from an old quilt series!! That bow-tie is sweet and springy and reminds me of a baby quilt my grandma made for her first great grandson! Memories!! I want to see both quilts of course! B would be my vote but will be happy to see it if it is done later!! Keep up the fun videos! Thanks for your love of things from our collective pasts! ❤
Oh, thank you SO much! I love that this quilt brings up memories! I will be featuring both quilts sometime this spring, so don't worry. They will both be covered! Thank you so much for watching and for sharing the memory. 🥰
I love that it brought back memories. I love that these videos do that. ❤️ I added your vote to the tally! Yay! Thank you for watching and for voting! 🥰
It is a beautiful quilt. I had a bow tie quilt that my aunt made me. Gave it to me when I got married. I used it to death. It's long gone now, since I've taken up quilting, I'm kicking myself that I didn't take better care. But it was truly loved & used, which is what she wanted. It was also hand done, she used yellow background, no sashing, I believe the blocks were 4inch blocks. You could repair the quilt or make pillows out of it. I would make quilt A, I've always liked the 2 color quilts made this way.
Oh, this is a wonderful memory! I love this! Thank you for sharing. Quilts are magical. ❤️ I am going to repair this one, I think, but I am still debating on how to do it. Thanks for the idea! Also, thank you for voting and for watching! ❤️
Isn't it great? It is an amazing one! Thanks so much for watching and for voting! Looks like Quilt A is currently winning! I added your vote to the tally!
I like to use the background fabric as a border, especially if I want the quilt to appear to not have a border, that way the binding doesn’t cut off any of the block. I’d love to see you do quilt A next. I’d be tempted to trim off the damage on the bottom and side of the quilt. You could then use the backing and border fabric that’s okay to make a new border and binding. It’s a lovely quilt.
Oh, that's a great point! What a wonderful thing we could learn! Thank you! That's kind of what I am thinking when I repair this one. I am still working out the details, but that's where I am leaning. I did that with a few other quilts and it works well. Thanks so much for watching and for the suggestion! ❤️
Oh please do Quilt A! I would love to do that one. Will you show us how? Ive decided from this bow-tie quilt that I can use a beautiful off-white duvet that I just got for the background and backing of a quilt I want to make from some 30s feedsack fabric Ive been collecting and saving for an inspiration like this!
I love, love, love that this has inspired you to make this! Thank you for sharing! It sounds like it will be amazing! ❤️ I added your vote for Quilt A! Yay! As for showing how to applique--eeek. Let me think about that one! LOL!
Yay! I will definitely be reviewing both of them in the near future! It looks like Quilt A "won" for the next quilt, but the other one will be featured soon after that!
I do sew EPPs, but I am not nearly good enough to make a video. Maybe someday! I am still learning myself. 🤗 Thank you so much for watching and for voting and for the suggestion! ❤️
I love your bow tie quilt! Either of your quilts would be great next, but I’m leaning toward the grandmothers flower garden just because I’m working on one now 😊 Thanks Kris, I always enjoy your videos!
My pleasure! So happy you love this series! I will eventually feature both of these quilts if Quilt A doesn't win for the next Lessons from an Old Quilt video. I promise! ❤️
Kris, either of the quilts - A or B would be a great choice. Just so which ever one you choose, the next Lessons from... that comes after it is the other quilt. I love the insight you bring to these old quilts. Thanks for sharing.
Oh, thank you so much! What a nice thing to say! I love that you love this series! So many more to come! I plan to review both of the quilts within the next few months, but was kind of stuck on which to do next. Both will be reviewed.
Hi Kris. The bow tie quilt is nearly perfect. I like the consistency of the same print for each bow. I have to say I'm voting for Quilt B. I need to see if all those petals are pieced or if that's the quilting on it. Stay warm and safe. ~~ Lynne
Isn't it a remarkable quilt? I am so impressed with this one! Thanks so much for voting, Lynne. If I don't do Quilt B next, I will definitely do it in the future. It is a great quilt! Thanks, as always, for commenting and for watching. 🥰
Beautiful bowtie quilt! I'm glad it was found by someone who'll truly appreciate it. Please, please do the hexagon one next! I'm working up the courage to start one of my own. 😊
That is so sweet! Thank you! It looks like Quilt A is currently winning for the next quilt that I will feature, BUT I will be featuring the hexagon quilt, too, in the near future. They can be intimidating, that's for sure! Thank you for watching and for voting! ❤️
It is a beauty, isn't it? It looks like A may be winning at this point, but I will add your vote to the tally and will definitely feature it at some point in the next few months. I promise!
Love the bow tie quilt. I'm always impressed when the maker is so meticulous. Looks like a quilt from the 1930s or 40s. The patches are so even they look like they were cut with a rotary cutter, but they were most likely cut with scissors. Those handsewn squares are perfect. The hand quilting was exquisite. That quilt was a great find! I believe i'd like to see the Grandmother's Flower Garden quilt next. Great video! 🥰
Thank you so much! It really is an amazing quilt, isn't it? Thank you for voting! If I don't do that one next, I will be doing it within the next month or so. I promise!
The vintage quilt is awesome! What a great find for $10. Repairing it will be great. Have a great day. I like both quilts, so could you do both in the order of your choice? ❤😊
It really was a steal for $10, wasn't it? It is an amazing quilt! Right now, Quilt A is "winning" for the next quilt to share, but I will definitely share Quilt B soon after that one. They are both great quilts! Thanks so much for watching and voting!
I inherited 4 quilts from my MIL. You can get the yellow out with retro clean. However. It can remove the color on feedsack material. I had to replace a block on the quilt made by my MIL. It was gone. Nine inch square hole.I fused a piece of batting to the back of the block I made out of new vintage material i had.. I made the block a quarter-inch bigger and ironed down the edges so they were turned in a quarter inch. Then I hand stitched it to the other 4 blocks surrounding it. I also got one that was a bowtie. I quilted all of them on my HQ 16. My MIL was flabbergasted. I was able to get them all clean lots of yellowing, putting them in a huge clear sterlite plastic tub that cost $8.00 in boiling water with retro clean in the summer sun for a day. I also learned the best way of getting rid of moth ball smell is hanging them out in the shade for a week on the clothesline.
Great tip! Thanks! I am not a fan of Retro Clean, however. I prefer Bizz from Walmart. I find it works so much better. Just my opinion, however. I did already wash this one by hand and treated the yellow stains. I may try again this summer and put that area only in the sun to see if it will fade the yellow some. Thanks so much for the tips!

As long as you do both it does not matter to me which one goes first. Love that quilt!
Thank you! I will eventually do both. I promise! ❤️

Love the old bow tie quilt!!
Quilt B is my favorite.

Thank you so much for watching and sharing! ❤️
I would love to see you highlight either quilt, (in a future episode) but B is my fave.
Awesome! Thanks for watching and for voting! 🥰 I will definitely be featuring both at some point in the near future. I promise. ❤️
I look forward to these old quilt lessons so much! They're beautiful and fascinating. And I love that you value them and share them with us.
Thank you so much! So happy this inspired you! Love that!
Wonderful workmanship. ❤. I LOVE IT.
Glad you like it! It really is a beauty! 🥰
Such a beautiful quilt and since I started quilting two years ago and I will be 74, it makes me sad because I would have loved to watch someone make this beautiful quilt. I like quilt B. I would love to see how you do the hexagon. Thank you for sharing.
My pleasure! These are fun videos to make. I am glad you like them.
Thank you for watching and voting! ❤️
My vote is for B! I love the bow tie quilt!!! This is such a great series!!!!
Thank you so much! I am happy you like this series. These are fun videos to make, too! Thank you for voting and for watching!
Love this bowtie quilt. What a delightful find! It's a shame there was no label with the maker's name and date. I vote for A.
It really is a stunner! It would be great to know more about the maker, that's for sure!
Thanks for watching and for voting for Quilt A!
What a sparkling gem your parents found for you 🥰
I love both Quilt A and B, my hope is eventually you’ll post both 🤞
Isn't it amazing!? Love this one!
I will be featuring both quilts in the near future, for sure. I love them both, too.
I love to watch your videos first thing in the morning .. your level of fun, joy and excitement brightens my day ❤
Oh, wow! Thank you SO MUCH! That's what it is all about. This made my day. Thank you. ❤️
Quilt B next, please 😊
Awesome! Thanks for watching and for voting! 🥰 I added your vote to the tally!
Love the bow tie quilt. I have antique one as well. I vote for quilt B,please. I am currently making one in EPP.
So glad you like this and have one! That's awesome! ❤️
It looks like Quilt A is currently winning, BUT I will feature Quilt B soon, too, I promise! I will be featuring the winner, then another quilt next (already have that picked), and then Quilt B. 🥰
I love this video series on your old quilts. I can't wait to see your next one. I vote for quilt B. That bow tie quilt is so lovely.
Thank you! So glad you love this series! ❤️
Thank you for watching and voting! I wrote your choice down! If it doesn't "win," I will still be featuring Quilt B in the future, hopefully this spring sometime.
Love the Bow Tie quilt! To me it looks like it should smell like it just came off the outside clothesline! Quilt B - have always loves hexi’s
It is a great quilt! It does smell like that. It is funny you can tell by looking at it! 😃 I did dry it on outside on a clothes line. ❤️
I added your vote to the tally! Thank you for watching and voting!
I can't decide between the two quilts. Maybe do A first, then B later. Love this series so much! X
Thank you! So glad you like this series!
I will be doing them both at some point, for sure! I promise! ❤️
I generally don't like the bow tie block but that knot being the same just adds a great touch. Would love to see lessons from both quilts.
Isn't it interesting? I love that knot, too!
I will be featuring both quilts eventually! I promise! ❤️
I love quilt B. What a gorgeous quilt that your parents rescued for you. Love it.
It really is! Thank you for voting! I will eventually feature both of these quilts. Stay tuned!
I vote for quilt B
Yay! Thank you so much for watching and for voting! I added your choice to the tally. ❤️
Wow! Such a beauty!
I vote quilt B next, and then quilt A after that. Both look intriguing!
It really is an amazing quilt, isn't it? Love this one!
Thanks for voting! I will be doing both at some point, for sure! They are both amazing quilts!
It looks like Quilt A is currently winning for the next quilt to be featured, BUT I will be featuring the Grandmother's Flower Garden one after that, and I think there are some tips that will help you. I was a bit surprised at the construction of that one.
Thanks so much for sharing and for voting! ❤️
Such a beautiful quilt! I think I would find the best section and cut it down to a smaller size, even a baby quilt. So pretty! B please! Deb x 🤗
Oh, that's an interesting idea! Thank you!
Thanks, also, for watching and voting! ❤️
Love these videos on old quilts. Kris, thank you for sharing. Either quilt would be good. Sorry I’m no help.
Yay! So glad you like them!
No worries! I couldn't decide either. I will feature both of them eventually, however, so that's good! ❤️
I love seeing these beautiful old quilts - thanks for showing them to us. I prefer Quilt B. Diana. xx
You are so welcome! So happy you love these videos! More to come!
Thanks for watching and for voting! ❤️
Love that you rescued that old quilt.
Block B for me.
Thank you! I love rescuing them. ❤️
I added your vote to the tally! Yay! Thank you for watching and for voting!
I promise!
@annnettegraff8323 This is so interesting! Wow, she was fast! Thank you for sharing this!
I vote for quilt b! I do love both of them though ❤. Thank you for doing this series. I love seeing old quilts.
Yay! I added your vote to the tally! Thank you so much for watching and for voting. ❤️
So glad you like them both! I will be featuring them both at some point in the next few months. I promise!
Love the bow tie quilt. Thank you for sharing your treasures. I vote for Quilt A.
Yay! So glad you love this one!
It is my pleasure. 🥰
Thank you for watching and for voting! ❤️
Great video, I choose B. Thank you, Barbara
I agree! I think that makes this quilt sprinkle and shine!
Thank you for watching and for voting!
A for sure. It’s gorgeous. Can you show us some of your completed repair jobs on these lovely old antiques?
Quilt A looks hard
Awww. I love that! A dolly named Peaches--how sweet!
I added your vote to the tally. Thank you for watching and sharing. 🥰
I love that you love these older quilts. Much love to our old quilts ❤.
Thank you! So glad you love these videos. I love sharing them, too. 🥰
Love this quilt reminds me of the ones my Aunt made .I vote for A .thanks for the memories.
I love when that happens! That's what it is all about! Quilts are magical! Thanks so much for watching and for voting! 🥰
Love the Bowtie! I'd like to see quilt B next.
So glad you like it!
Okay! I wrote it down! I will eventually do both, so if B doesn't win, I will still make a video for it at some point in the upcoming weeks. ❤️ Thank you for watching and for voting!
i love the pastel colors of the bow tie quilt. i simply cannot comprehend how long it took to sew this quilt, by hand! Astonishing.
I completely agree! Amazing, isn't it?
Amazing quilt! I love that the knot on the bows are the same to bring it all together!
I vote for B! Sorry! I am working on a hexi quilt so I need the information on that one! Lol
Thank you, Fallon! Isn't that bow tie one amazing? Love everything about it!
Quilt A looks like it is winning so far, but I will definitely feature Quilt B at some point, too!
I'd like to see B next, although I'm sure they're both lovely. The bow tie quilt is absolutely amazing!!
Thank you! 😊 I added your vote to the tally! 🥰
That's true! I didn't think of that! I love that, too. Thank you so much!
OMG your parents are Awesome!! What a great find. This is my favorite kind of quilt. Love everything about it☺️
Thank you! My parents really are amazing. I hit the Parent Lottery with them. 🥰
Thank you so much! Glad you love this!
Thank you for voting and for watching. ❤️
Awesome bow tie quilt! I like quilt A!
Is it incredible, isn't it?
Thank you for watching and voting! I added your vote to the tally!
I love this quilt! I think I’d votes for b for the next quilt to review!
Yay! So glad you like it! Quilt A is currently winning, but I will review Quilt B at some point in the upcoming months, too, I promise! Thank you so much for watching and for voting! 🥰
B - Grandmother’s flower garden! I love that quilt and would love to make one myself one day.
Yay! Thank you for watching and for voting! I will add your vote to the tally!
If Quilt B doesn't "win", I will be featuring it in a later video. I promise! ❤️
Quilt A for your next review. The bows are beautiful!
Aren't they amazing? Love this one!
Awesome! Thank you so much for watching and for voting! I added your choice to the tally.
I love those old antique quilts! I vote for the quilt A!
Thank you! So happy you love this series!
I added your vote to the tally! Yay!
Also, thank you for sharing about your grandmother's quilt. Quilts are magical. It has been well-loved, I am sure. ❤️
Absolutely beautiful! I have always wanted to quilt this one but keep putting it off. Since I am 73 I quess!
Isn't it amazing? Love ths one, too! I hope you make one!
Beautiful quilt in great shape!
I think so too! Love this one! ❤️
That is a lovely quilt. I am glad you are saving it! I vote for quilt A but I like quilt B also. I have my personal quilt B that is all handmade!
@@SewtheDistance Thanks. That was lots better. Lots of tiny stitches.
Oh good! I wish I could include more of that content in the videos that feature lighter quilts! Glad you could see it in the photos.
❤love the bow tie quilt❤️
I would like to see you make quilt “A” next
It is a great one, that's for sure!
Thank you for voting!
Beautiful!
Bow tie is one of my favorite quilts. I love both A & B, I’ll be happy either way.😊
It is a beauty! I will be featuring both eventually. I love them both, too. ❤️
Beautiful quilt. I bet it is really soft.
I guess ill vote for A for you to make next!
It is so soft and cuddly. I just love it!
Thank you for voting and watching! Looks like A is winning so far! ❤️
Beautiful old quilt!!! What a find!!!!
It really is! Love this one, although I do say that about them all! 😆🥰
I vote for Quilt B! 😊
Great! Thanks for watching and for voting! If I don't do B next time, I will definitely do it in the near future. I promise! ❤️
Quilt A please. Nice video. TFS
You are so welcome! Thank you for watching and for voting!
I love this quilt. It reminds me of many I saw as I was growing up. The bow tie is fantastic! I like quilt B for your next video.
I love that it brought back memories. I love that these videos do that. ❤️
I added your vote to the tally! Yay! Thank you for watching and for voting!
I am going to repair this one, I think, but I am still debating on how to do it. Thanks for the idea!
Also, thank you for voting and for watching! ❤️
What a treasure! Thanks for sharing!
I’m so glad you enjoyed it!
The box tie quilt is wonderful and I would like to see quilt a.
Awesome! Thanks for watching and for voting! 🥰
A, love your quilts
Oh, thank you so much!
Yay! Thank you for watching and for voting!
Love the quilt. Wow 😯 beautifully done hand sewn an quilted . I vote for A
Isn't it great? It is an amazing one!
Thanks so much for watching and for voting! Looks like Quilt A is currently winning! I added your vote to the tally!
I love the bow tie quilt. I would like to see the A quilt first.
Isn't it beautiful? Love it, too! 🥰
Thank you for watching and voting!
I just did my first 2 bow tie quilts. Fun! You know you will video both quilts eventually. 😊
So true! LOL! I love them both so much! 😆
I added your vote for Quilt A! Yay! As for showing how to applique--eeek. Let me think about that one! LOL!
I love both of the future quilts! I will look forward to hearing about both of them.😍
Yay! I will definitely be reviewing both of them in the near future! It looks like Quilt A "won" for the next quilt, but the other one will be featured soon after that!
Quilt B. I would like to see how you do the hexagons and if you plan on doing EPP.
I do sew EPPs, but I am not nearly good enough to make a video. Maybe someday! I am still learning myself. 🤗
Thank you so much for watching and for voting and for the suggestion!
Completely agree!
B is my favorite ❤
It is a beauty, isn't it? It looks like A may be winning at this point, but I will add your vote to the tally and will definitely feature it at some point in the next few months. I promise!
Wow!!! $10.00 on such a lovely quilt.
Amazing, isn't it? Great deal!
I vote for A is for appliqué. Oh my, that bow tie! One of my favorite quilt blocks. I love your lessons we can learn. Such treasures.
So happy you enjoyed this! Yay!
I added your vote to the tally. Thank you for watching and for voting!
I promise!
My great grandmother’s quilts from the 20’s and 30’s are flannel material inside instead of any batting.
I like how light weight they are that way.
Both but start with A 😍
Awesome! Thanks for watching and for voting! 🥰 I will do both eventually. I promise! ❤️
I just love when you do these videos. They’re my favorite.
Yay! Thank you so much! I am thrilled you love them! More to come!
Awesome
