    You dont need to drain the coolant.. only about 12 ounces comes out when you pull the hose on the egr cooler. just top it off when done removing all the extra parts

    Not knocking you what so ever because you have the balls to tackle this on your own. I have been watching several videos because I want to do it as well. One thing I saw that you might want to check is the block off plate you installed with the nipple in the rear by the firewall. I believe you installed it upside down, The Allen key needs to be upright because if it backs out and gets sucked up you're in trouble. I spotted it at 9:02

    I am sure several people have said, all ya have to do is loosen the cap on the coolant overflow and only a few drops of coolant leak out.

    you don't have to drain the coolant just FYI. You will have to be careful not to tip the EGR cooler as you pull it out as it will be full of coolant.

    It's so much easier to place thin stainless steel block off plates under your EGR valve and EGR cooler with gaskets and then use your tuner to shut the EGR off. Leaves everything intact, gives you the same amount of coolant. Easy Peasy.

    One question: how did you remove the long nut that the green plastic has?

  • @jasonbaugh4944
    @jasonbaugh4944 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    At about 8:45 in your video, you talk about the two plates, the one on the back with the nut... Should there be anything coving the hole in the plate? I ask because mine has a hole and when the truck is running I can feel the exhaust and this doesn't seem right to me. It's really loud and sounds like an exhaust leak. I purchased the truck already deleted and I think this was incorrectly done because kits I've seen say there is a plug for this hole. Does your backplate have an open hole?

    Several years later.... how hard is it for you to get it inspected. Do they unplug the OBD2 and plug it into thier computer while its running? does this cause any issues? What state are you in? Would you do this over again or are you having issues with inspection or sale of vehicle?

      It’s just your basic metric set. I think the only one I didn’t have was either a 20 or a 21” open or socket. Most of them are 10-16 metric. Watch all 3 videos I say what socket i use for that step. Good luck!!

    I installed a Milliken kit on a 2013 Laramie. Did that nipple that requires the deal with the set screws happen to leak on you after install? I'm thinking it needs a thicker o ring but not sure. any input would be appreciated.

  • @MrTacticaljellybean

    For that front pain in the butt 15mm nut take the band clamp off EGR cooler and then you can use a full size wrench from the back side once the EGR cooler is removed
