I've never been in anything that powerful, but we had a bad storm in Chicago around 2010 or so. So many trees were ripped up in the city and suburbs I've never seen before. We had a microburst that dropped three giant ash trees in my yard. Just snapped em right in half. One of them took the neighbors roof and fence out. Cars were destroyed. Power lines down everywhere. I feel for all of you.

Tim... It is VERY VERY IMPORTANT to get all your belongings VERY DRY DRY DRY if you can. Most all your belongings WILL BE ok IF IF you can get them dry again. MILDEW MILDEW will become the destroyer. Here in the states you could buy a gas shop construction heater, rig it up under roof galvanized tin ( to prevent melting and fire) blow that heat under a roll of plastic, put all you stuff under to dry out. That would dry it very fast. There you will need to rely on nature and sun heat only. The mildew will destroy your house and belonging very quickly, maybe in one week or two. VERY IMPORTANT... keep EVERY window and door open in your house 24 hrs a day... as long as no new rain comes in, this will help tremendously. Do not let new water in. A CLOSED UP HOUSE... Is the best condition where mold mildew will grow. Open up house prevents growth of mildew and mold. FANS FANS FANS... I own 25 cheap $15 Walmart fans. My house was flooded. I turned them on 24/7 for two weeks. This saved 90% of my house. If you have no power... I guess only solution is... open windows and sun. If you do not get it dry... You will get mold, mildew...later get medical problem breathing it. We are praying for you. God bless.

I’m glad you got caught that footage of the neighbor smiling and laughing. “Because we are still alive no one got hurt “ we still have our lives. Classically beautiful. I have that way of thinking too. And love it when others remind us. of the most important thing .....in some of the scariest hardest times of our lives. ..... thanks Tim. 🙏❤️

You will see and feel the real heart of a filipino during a disaster.
Can show a smile while discussing about the disaster that wash out their homes.
Helping their neighbors even if they were also have nothing.

Metal shutters facing the sea may protect it in the future. I pray you, your family and neighbourhood will recover soon. Watching from Norway. God bless.🙏💌🙏

The people have great attitudes after such an event. I was worrying about looters like you mentioned Tim. It looks like a lot of hard work ahead. Prayers to you and your family and community.

that's hardly a problem in the Philippines, especially after calamities like these, it's when Filipinos spirit of community comes out very strong and try to help each other out. Most are used to not needing a lot to survive, so unless it's a calamity situation that is sustained, like more than a week or so, there should be no looting problems.

Such a shame that this guy first thought the morning after a disaster is looting.

Tim, so happy you and your family made it through the typhoon. I'm amazed at the positive perspective of the people in your neighborhood. I'd probably be depressed. Best wishes from Louisiana. Hope you recover from your illness soon. Chrissy seems to be a rock.
