Came across this video looking at FJ's! I currently own a 2014 FJ and LOVE IT! We have been traveling across the US! This is my first time looking at a video by you two, but I must say, I love the connection you both share. Enjoy and here is to many more blessings!!
Here in the US I have a 2007 with 203,000 miles on it! It’s a true work horse and an awesome vehicle! They’re shooting up in value! Your sure to get some FJ fans now!
I can clearly hear the happiness in your voice and I'm so happy for you. You look way healthier too and Chrissy looks fabulous. I remember when you visited her family with Harald and when you first hit her home town and she had no idea what a milkshake even consisted of. I'm so happy you two have seem to build and awesome life together and a happy wife makes a happy life. They always told me do you want to see how happy the man is ? Look at his wife. It's very true. Can't wait to see the baby more in the videos and congrats on the new car it's well deserved.
Good choice! That 4.0l Toyota engine is bulletproof. They put that same engine in the 4Runner here in the USA. And 4Runner is considered the most reliable vehicle in the North America. That engine should last 400k+ miles easy.
Congratulations to you both! I was in the Philippines for two months for the holidays. That’s amazing Toyota still sells the FJ Cruiser brand new in the Philippines. The last year they sold them here in the states was 2014. That’s a perfect vehicle for the province.
CONGRATS! One peice of advice, the FJ has "ALOT" of blindspots. I suggest getting the mirror magnifiers and if availble backup camera especially when you have dogs and dark tint. I ended up selling mine because to the poor visibility. With that said, since you don't have 4 lane highways, and it's way slower speeds over there, you should be ok. Enjoy!
the backup camera is in the rear view. i knew about the blind spots, but with minimal lane changes its not a big deal here. floating over the poor roads is a big deal. good suggestion.
Dude! that is one badass vehicle! I've been a Mercedes-Benz tech and transmission rebuilder for 25+years now and purchased a new 4Runner TRD Pro in 2020. Basically the same vehicle as yours, but longer wheelbase and different body. Toyota has their shit sorted out. Great choice for reliability. Congrats and looking forward the "Tim Offroads the Philippines" channel!
Congratulations Tim and Chrissy! Beautiful SUV!! Toyota is the best vehicle on the road today! They hold their value! Have a Wonderful time on your new adventures in it!! ❤
I don’t know about the Locals they prefer Diesel than Gas power SUV’s, thats why those FJ Cruisers are not so popular among the Locals. Fortuners, Isuzu MX and Mitsubishi Montero are so popular coz they’re Diesel😳☘️😩🇺🇸
A great choice in vehicles. Had mine for 7 years and 242,000 kms before I sold it. Had the best fun in it. Really miss it now. Maybe when I move to the Phils in the future I’ll pick up another one
Awesome Tim, I followed you on the video you travelled with our Norwegian friend. From your story, I really feel you deserve every inch of beautiful moment. I'm hoping to move to Philippines at some point too. Thanks for sharing your story
Beautiful truck! Almost bought one in 2014 ended up buying a 350z. Fun car but now regret not buying an FJ. Now have a Lexus RC, will be paying that for a while, but would love an FJ in the future, camping/kayaking trips here in Cali. Also, beautiful fucking bloody steak !
Good choice, I have one here in the US and they keep their resale value so high. An old first edition FJ year 2007 still selling from $15 K to $25 K depending on the mileage. Congratulations.
Wow! An FJ! Niceee! Well done you two! Super excited for you, and jealous! 🤣. Makes my little Honda Fit look like a tricycle 😄😄. Well done. Good Video. 😉👍
Wow you guy’s make me smile, I love your family. I been watching a while and remember Tim looking at this yellow car, it was an attorney’s car. Continues success and God bless you.
As a Toyota Tech, you made a Great choice. One of the most durable and easy access to guys that know Toyota when you do need a repair. Keep it simple design is part of what makes a Toyota work. I haven't driven one in sometime. The first few years was a little under powered, but for Filipin roads, its perfect. Only other thing, i never liked the white top. They used to have a special edition black one that was all black. Looks better in all one color. I like the yellow, but i would take it right too a painter and get the top painted yellow as well. But SWEET RIDE, Tim and Chrissy!!!!!!!!!!!!
Very nice I have exactly the same car, same color. It has been awesome. First thing I did like you said add some extra lights, then a roof rack and a subwoofer. Great car
@@TimKyoutube Hey Tim that's cool man , your hard work is paying , still remember vloging with your phone in south american countries with just 20k views per episode , Harld should be proud he made Bald , Jhonny ,Jermmyboy , you on to some thing
Oh my i laughed at the remote with the condom over it LOL. Wow beauty Toyota Banana Power 4X4. Cool. That area your locating to is just beautiful lush green paradise. Enjoy the new vehicle.
WHAT A COINCIDENCE. I was looking at the exact same vehicle, same color too, but for practical reasons, I made it my choice to a (PAID IN FULL) purchase a brand new Toyota 4X4 Hilux GR Sport truck from the Gazoo racing arm of Toyota. The truck is $3,000 less, gets 6 miles to the gallon more than FJ, can travel 220 KM further on a full tank, has a Diesel motor, and diesel is about $1 a gallon cheaper than gas counterpart, (it all adds up). And additional savings by paying in full discount, and savings on insurance. Unfortunately, I will have to sacrifice "NOT" bringing my 1985 CJ 7 JEEP which I also bought brand new in 1985, still have after 37 years, to the Philippines, as it would be the perfect vehicle for there... 38" Swamper tires, body lift, suspension lift, could go anywhere. The problem is total cost would be $28,200 to ship. (A/C installed, hardtop and doors, 200% tariff, port and dock fee's ETC.) That $28,200 can then be applied to the new truck for all practical reasons. So I will sell my Jeep, and my Ford Mustang GT, and my 2016 Ford Transit connect work van, here in California, and buy the truck. I can really help the people of the Philippines with a vehicle like that. My friend owns a FJ, and he talked me out of it saying Toyota could have done a better job. Cramped compartment and not much amenities, compared to the GR Sport truck. To each, his own. I am sure you will enjoy your FJ for years to come. I plan on being there for the first time in September, 2022, since going there 8 times in 2019, then covid lockdown started.
Awesome choice guys - so happy for you! That SUV will serve you very well…Toyota’s last forever. I had a 1975 Toyota Corolla with over 250k miles and drove it across the US when I was 30 years old and still was able to sell it with over 300k miles. Very happy for you both - looking forward to great adventure blogs by you both. Amping always :)
You really couldn’t have made a better choice. Best wishes and happy motoring. I wish they still sold that FJ in the US. The pre owned ones here are exploding in price. Hope it serves well for many years.
@@BillCollins0707 I coulda swore I seen the same exact vehicle in California, I could be wrong but it look exactly the same. Maybe someone imported it possibly.
Hi Tim, I will be coming to Leyte this year. If I buy a car there, will I be able to ferry with it anywhere? Like Luzon? Also, my girlfriend from Leyte needs an ID. Maybe a drivers lic. but she`s never driven. Is it easy for her to get a national ID? Province girl. Thank you so much. Lucky you`re not with Harald. He was in Nepal last I checked, having a tough time of it. Robert
Nice vehicle! I suggest maybe you get a couple go pros cameras and set them up in a fixed location inside the car. One that sees what's in front of your vehicle and one that looks at all the passengers. So you can vlog hands free and it's much safer. And can also see your reactions as well 😆
The jeep is pretty good on you. It is way bigger than your previous one and I bet you found this new baby very sumptuous in space. Not to mention, there 4WD is a plus to the rough terrain of Philippines. Congratulations !
Wow! As in wow! Good choice I loved it the color of FJ Cruiser was fantastic. Congratulations Tim, Chrissy & Dale for your new Bumblebee Tuna strong heavy for long distance travel Car. Enjoy your happy moments beautiful very inspiring Family I wish to have this car when stay for good in Leyte cheers
Love the FJ. Got one in 2008 has 34,000 miles now and runs like new. I go to Thailand for 6 to 8 months some years, that's why the low mileage. Good luck with yours.

Thanks, it is great already going over tough roads.
