  • The premise of this alternate timeline is that George opts to release a single-disc album in late 1970 as opposed to the triple album magnum opus he’s known for. This allows for tracks from the All Things Must Pass period to be spread throughout George’s Apple years (70-75), creating albums that have a more balanced quality.
His first album, Run of the Mill, is much more stripped down than All Things Must Pass, though there are a few tracks that retain the original Spector orchestration (My Sweet Lord, Isn’t It A Pity, All Things Must Pass). Generally, George’s vocal is front and center, like John’s on the Plastic Ono Band album, and not back in the mix. I sped up My Sweet Lord so now it’s about as fast as the acoustic demo was.
On a couple songs, I few in elements from the original album, but retained a rough, band-like feel to the song. What Is Life includes backing vocals and George’s guitar work from the final version and Wah-Wah includes most of the backing vocals. Due to my lack of technical expertise, the demo songs Window, Window and Dehra Dun aren’t changed at all and are kept in their original, well, demo capacity. I did slightly extend Window, Window but that’s all.
