Living In The Material World
The premise of this alternate timeline is that George opts to release a single-disc album in late 1970 as opposed to the triple album magnum opus he’s known for. This allows for tracks from the All Things Must Pass period to be spread throughout George’s Apple years (70-75), creating albums that have a more balanced quality.
His second album, Cosmic Empire, releases in 1972 after he holds his Concert for Bangladesh in '71, just like our timeline. True to its name, Cosmic Empire's production is much more bombastic and in your face than the stripped back Run of the Mill.
I structured the album so that the album starts out somewhat light in tone, gets dark towards the middle, and then ends light, bringing the whole thing full circle. The songs generally focus on the struggles of material existence, with the bliss of a "cosmic empire" just around the corner, if one looks for it. There aren't many changes to the songs, outside of adding some rewind effects to Living In The Material World (to give the impression of tape loops) and adding some reverb to the title track, which gives it some depth.

Logical succession to WMGGW.
Underrated
My favorite George Harrison song whenever I'm in the mood. Up there with top 5 of his best songs he's written and recorded.
Where can I find a link so I can save image and/or download the picture?

@@moondog3855 Thank you, already added to my playlist. Sounds cohesive as an album from top to bottom, the "Cosmic Empire" reverb is a nice touch. 👌
Brings back old memories.
Just read your community posts, check over your work, I am strongly impressed what you built. Love to hear your other works far as George's Apple LP fan made albums on the forthcoming.
Very much appreciate it! Next album will be live Monday
@@moondog3855 Oooh, live as in a premiere or a live performed recorded concert?
@@supersonicsounds6020 Live as in the videos will all be up simultaneously. I reserve premieres for my rankings, and another one of those will be coming soon, I hope.
@@moondog3855 Oh, gotcha, my mistake
@@supersonicsounds6020 No worries bro. Comments like yours make this even more worthwhile than it already is!
Forgetting to give back......
Grandiosa...
Thank God for Paul McCartney ❣️🙏🥳✨🥰🙏
A true master of music
Another great song from George
It's the first time i'm listening to this song, amazing!
W cant find a good sounding one all of the other uploads are so quiet
I've heard how some people, have said That I've changed That I'm not what I was How it really is a shame The thoughts in their heads, Manifest on their brow Like bad scars from ill feelings They themselves arouse So hateful of anyone that is happy Or 'free' They live all their lives, Without looking to see The light that has lighted the world It's funny how people, just won't Accept change As if nature itself - they'd prefer Re-arranged So hard to move on When you're down in a hole Where there's so little chance, To experience soul I'm grateful to anyone, That is happy or 'free' For giving me hope While I'm looking to see The light that has lighted the world
Finally a version with that incredible bass! Thank you!
Bass makes the song!
Love that Georges slide work is so front and center and not buried in the mix. Great slide work
It's a fun track 💃 I love it!
More inteligent and creativ ,verry sensibel a great muzician
Beautiful song, Harrison's pure class
Harrison's light got dimmer as the years quickly passed. It took four Beatles to screw that light bulb. Harrison added the guitar in the brightest light the #1 group could ever have. He then became a so-so guitarist, gone solo.
Is there a chance you will do John
Yes, I will after my next series.
Pure❤ George Harrison ❤ Yes

Diplomatic immunity has just been revoked!
What a fantastic compilation, Although I would have added “Despite Repeated Warnings” as it just fits, also ill be excited to check out the pure harrison compilation soon Vinyl Tracklist- Disc One- Side A: 1. Hope Of Deliverance 2. Too Many People 3. Everybody Out There 4. Tug Of War / Pipes Of Peace Side B: 5. With A Little Luck 6. People Want Peace 7. Looking For Changes 8. Wild Life Disc Two- Side C: 9. Women And Wives 10. Big Boys Bickering 11. I’ve Had Enough 12. Hope For The Future Side D: 13. How Many People 14. Despite Repeated Warnings* 15. Ebony And Ivory / Coming Up (Live) / C’Mon People
Despite Repeated Warnings will be included on another compilation themed around “the average person.” I was going to include it originally, but I didn’t want this to be too long. Love the tracklist as always!
Why does this have the intro to Pipes of Peace?
The intro to Pipes of Peace is removed from the actual song because it transitions from Tug of War. So I put it here because of how it sounds like war, bombs, etc.
Not just like 👍. LOVE ❤️! 😍
I wonder going back to listen RRS resequencing, I thought of an alternate idea, because I made one of my own on my playlist expect replacing "Loup" and "Soily" with "Hi, Hi, Hi" and "Country Dreamer" if you can hear or at least think that ain't bad to imagine if it was on the album.
Those songs definitely fit the vibe of the album. I think it works. I have them as singles because they’d be released either way whereas an album is Loup and Soily’s only shot.
Fav song on all things must pass
Georges best song in the 80ies!
I'd probably buy it on CD, not vinyl
