First I am not sure, the replacement of battery is cost effective.
Firstly EV company have to clarify, whether it is Cell or Shelf/compartment box, which needs to get replaced.
There is scrap policy on EV cars.
If you calculate this EV cars per month bases, are you able to recover it, is the question. There can be more detail calculation by some other too.
Car costs 14lk or 15lk
Insurance cost is double of IC Vehicle - 30k
No resale value or assurance from Tata or any EV manufacturing company.
Battery per cell cost or Shelf cost, only company has to give clarification on this before buying.
To be honest, this can only max last for 15yrs due to scrap policy. Hence one has to pay 1.5lk to 2lk per year.
If a new modal comes with high advance battery or modern battery for long range. This resale value will fall more, as motor and battery play on range, and car physical parts have again depreciating factor. (2 things).
Unless company bring either modular design in Battery or Recharge fast process or assurance in resale value comparing to IC vehicles. EV is good for only fuel and better driving experience. No other benefits.
Ask this owner to experiment like resale value check, to see how much they give to know. Or make a experimental video on this resale of Electric vehicle from Tata or any other company.

U r just talking about the present consumption but also include battery depreciation. After 8 years, u will have to invest 4 to 5 lacs.for replacement of battery.

There are a lot of investments ongoing in battery research and production, and this will bring the battery cost to 1/4 th in a few years, this is a cluster pack, you only require to replace the weak cells. Tiag/Tigor is currently using LFP batteries and it's minimum charging cycle is 3000 times. for example, you charge it 3000 times it can run up to 600000 km if it gives a range of 200 km as average. Considering the current fuel cost, it would cost nearly 42 Lacks in fuel price, if per kilometer is 07 INR. Hypothetical calculation.
