- Tata Tiago EV Car Latest Update
Latest Update: The Tata Tiago EV has completed its one year in India.
Price: Tata’s electric hatchback is priced from Rs 8.69 lakh to Rs 12.04 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom pan-India).
Variants: Tata is offering it in four trims: XE, XT, XZ+ and XZ+ Lux.
Colours: You can buy the electric hatchback in five monotone exterior shades: Signature Teal Blue, Daytona Grey, Tropical Mist, Pristine White and Midnight Plum.
Battery Pack and Range: The Tiago EV can be had with two battery pack options: 19.2kWh and 24kWh. Both battery packs are mated to an electric motor that churns out 61PS/110Nm for the smaller battery and 75PS/114Nm for the bigger one. With these battery packs, the electric hatchback offers a claimed range from 250km to 315km.
Charging: Tata’s electric hatchback comes with four charging options: a 15A socket charger, 3.3kW AC charger, 7.2kW AC charger and a DC fast charger.
Here are the charging periods for both batteries:
15A Socket Charger: 6.9 hours (19.2kWh), 8.7 hours (24kWh)
3.3kW AC Charger: 5.1 hours (19.2kWh), 6.4 hours (24kWh)
7.2kW AC Charger: 2.6 hours (19.2kWh), 3.6 hours (24kWh)
DC Fast Charger: 10-80 per cent in 57 minutes for both
Features: It boasts amenities such as a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a four-speaker Harman sound system with four tweeters, and auto AC. It also gets rain-sensing wipers, steering-mounted controls, and cruise control.
Safety: In terms of safety it gets dual front airbags, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), ABS with EBD and a rear-view camera.
Rivals: The Tiago EV locks horns with the Citroen eC3 and MG Comet EV.

I have done almost 8000 kms in 6 months in my tiago ev driving mainly in hilly terrain only [ Meghalaya] . I get on Average 250km on a full charge without AC.
Ev's is perfect for hills.

@@alokhasilkar Long range. Yesterday, i travel about 95 kms driving in hills only , my starting SOC was 87% and on reaching my destination it was
51 % , so 36% battery consumption, range is about 2.6 kms/1%. My speed was between 50-70 kms/hr.
@@Uddumoradabadi in plain flat roads , range will be more. Just put 5% for AC.
I have done 30000kms in 8 months .I get on average 200km with ac and without ac 284km range. Please check tyre pressure at regular basis to get better range.

Sir I am a teacher my daily running is approx 70-90 km per day around 24-25 days in a month. Should i prefer tiago ev or nexon ev or any other petrol or diesel automatic

Ev range mostly depends on the way the car is used and battery health life depends on the way it being charged.... If you follow a single charge mode then the life of battery extends. And if there is variation in charge mode then battery life degrade as battery adjust everytime asbit charges... If its is home based charged then battery life will remain healthy and if it is used in fast charging station then battery life deagrades as different charging station has different kwh speed...... And the most basic step is the coolant check while charging in fast charging as coolant run across the battery in fast charge mode which is not present in home charge

Very nice info. I have purchased Tiago ev in September in Mumbai. Just clocked 5000 kms. But still afraid to take on a long drive ( above 110 kms) one way. I did a AEC to7.9 but never got a range above 260 kms

Never seen a Tata customer who did not face issue in service
Some Tata dealers are quite lethargic and careless, esspecially, the Tejaswi motors in Hyderabad. However, Tiago EV makes a lot of sense for people drive a lot. Say, you drive 1.5 Lakh kms, you have already saved more than 10 Lakh in fuel(saving of Rs 8 per km), which is more than the cost of the car! It makes tremendous economics for daily users and cabs!
I was thinking of ev but booked XUV 300 petrol because of less running and no charging in appartments but second car will be a EV for sure. Nexon or XUV 400 may be Tiago if budget is less. EV is future good choice.

If you take the test drive of XUV 400 then it will force you to buy... Only price is the hurdle.

Everyone saying wait for another 2 year's from last 3 year's ! if it's continue just keep waiting to buy a electric car Electric vehicle and it's mobility is developing but in a slow way because of low purchase and low maintenance of charging points because of low vehicle's most of charging stations may not in service because of lack of electric vehicles in certain places

मेरा होमटाउन फ़िरोज़ाबाद है जो नॉएडा से 225 km दूर है। मेरे घर से 25 km चलने के बाद 165 km लंबा यमुना एक्सप्रेस वे है जिसके ख़तम होने के बाद 35 km नेशनल हाईवे पर चलना होता है। बेस्ट रेंज के लिए स्पीड कितनी रखनी है? और एक और प्रश्न कि क्या साल दर साल बैटरी पुरानी होने पर रेंज घटती है क्या ?

What is your opinion about buying a Tata Tiago EV or a Citroën EV or upcoming EVs in 2024 starting and Middle.
I have seen many reviews about the Tiago EV. Some mention that when driving in the rain or through waterlogged areas, the car suddenly stops due to water getting inside the car. Is it a good option to buy an EV now?
I am taking a loan for this purpose, and with the rising petrol prices, it makes sense to consider an EV to save on fuel costs, which can be used to pay the EMI.
I am buying the car for family purposes, and we don't do long rides daily. I work out of town and come home only on weekends, and I might use the car or two-wheeler.
We need to visit family members once a month, and the distance is around 75 km one way, so 150 km in total. The rest of the time, the car will be in the garage, and we would use it only in rare cases like for hospital visits, shopping, or urgent matters.
So, what is your opinion?
Should I go for an EV? Or Petrol...?.
I am particularly concerned about the Tiago EV's issues related to driving in rainy conditions and through waterlogged areas.
Previously decided to buy Tiago and move to Punch and move to Altroz but petrol cost and EMI cost would be little trouble so at that time EV in my mind but due to these issues makes me convert to petrol and my budget around under 11 - 12 lak and looking for a 4/ 5 star safety rating vehicle as well.
But now I'm thinking back about EVs.
Can i buy EVs or Petrol?
Any suggestions from your side ?
Get the Tiago EV. Look at the XT Long Range model. But make sure you have a private parking space with arrangements for charge points.
Go for tiago ev and replace that with your two and four wheeler. Go anywhere you want and don't hesitate to roam around the countryside with the car ❤

If your monthly running is above 3k then think about EV
If your running is very high then go for ev and if it's is very less then don't even buy a car... Use public transport or car service as it is way for cost effective then buying a car
