Excellent work. As for the Quasar Rainbows, you don't need to connect the RJ45 cables in order to use Lead/Follow mode.
Out of the box, the tubes will communicate with one another when you set them to wireless mode in the LEAD/Follow program.

curious when to use a kino flo/diva light vs an aputure or nanlite COB LED. Doing testimonials and b-roll ive been using nanlite forza 300 lights, but our freelancers always have kinoflo or diva lights. They dont seem expensive so im curious why choose one over the other? if the professionals are all using the kino/divas, why are aputure and nanlite selling way more lights?

how would the image and gradations change if u rated it at base instead of 200 and brought up the noise floor compensating with fill instead, achieving the "same" lighting ratios? i understand why one would use specific fixtures for their effect, just very technically speaking. anyway really cool project thanks for posting
Have you had any luck recording and playback through your Atomos? (re: playback exposure) I'll actually be testing that out tomorrow during a pre-light.
I hope Sony can work out some of these kinks. It's such a good camera but these little quirks are hard to live with on set.
Yes, you could feasibly record through the monitor with exposure "baked-in," but you'd probably want to use HDMI (which I really prefer not doing) so you can trigger recording. I wish Sony would implement the same features as the FS7!

What equipment setup do you use for laying flat the mattbounce? I had a photoshoot today and was struggling to get a non janky bounce setup

@@robchado I always love how you expose your skintones. Can I ask, where do you have your zebras set for skintones in Slog3 on the FX6? I know you use a SmallHD external monitor - in which case, if using false colour and a lut, do the usual rules of trying to get a touch pink in the highlights on faces still apply (depending on skintone)? Or are you using different methods to get where you get to?

Indeed, the A7SIII is pretty much an FX6 but more compact, with no internal ND's. Compactness is very handy for many scenarios. Both are great. Supplement your A7SIII ;)
Hi Robert, I almost missed this video. If by looking at the thumbnail there was something identifying this video as 1 of yours, I would have clicked. I clicked because of the FX6 and was surprised to see your face ! Can you add your logo or something to help identify your videos at the 1st glance ?
The work is great but the idea is so overdone. “Look at us we’re woke” is getting so cringe at this point.
