Thanks to you I finally understand how to expose the right way for S-Log outdoors in run & gun situations along with how to color correct better. The exposure meter had never made any sense to me, and has always messed up the quality of my videos, until now. You explained to manually expose, instead of letting the camera do the guessing. Also the color correction part of your video makes more sense to me now than any other videos I have seen out there on TH-cam. One million thanks again and can’t wait to start filming soon, the right way. You gained a Subscriber!

Excellent content Josh. Just updated my FX3 this morning after contacting Sony. I have the new Macbook M1 and the new software was not cooperating. We switched to an older Intel Mac and I was able to do the upgrade. I just watched this entire video and I think you have done all of the viewers a big favour so thanks again. Keep up your great content. Cheers from the West Coast.
Thank you so much! Yeah sometimes updating Sony cameras with Macs can be tricky. It is frustrating. I was surprised that I couldn't do these latest firmware updates with the SD card since the camera has that option in it.
Really appreciate the time and effort you put into this, watched the whole thing all the way through! Great since I also have the FX3 w/ 16-35mm GM lens, your explanations of Cine EI really helped. I knew I wanted to stick to the base ISO's but didn't have my camera setup as efficiently as you... I do now!! Looking forward to shooting more video.

One of the things I love about Sony is how customizable everything is. Most of the customizations you landed on sound terrible to me, but that's fine because it works for you, haha. I'm glad we can choose how to set up our own gear in a way that works best for us instead of being told what the universal one best way is and needing to find workarounds for all the stuff we won't use.
I rarely comment on videos, but this was too good not to. I have an FX3 on the way and I learned a ton from you here. Thank you for sharing your deep knowledge in such an approachable/non-intimidating way!

This is the missing user manual! It’s a shame Sony did not even bother to make a viable one in the first place, but you did sooo much better than they would ever do. Sony needs to award you a medal a few free FX-3’s!

Great work as always! This lens is sooo close for the unicorn of len's to take backpacking. Fast enough for Astro photography, but the missing 10mm at the long end. Can't wait for your review of the 24-50 f2.8
