For everyone that is confused why they have no sound, if you have the Bose sound system there’s a factory amp that runs the sound to the speakers. The setup isn’t the same. There’s a black and pink wire in the factory harness that needs constant power (for the amp). Then there’s the part where you have to run the sound to the amp so it can deliver the sound to the speakers, I haven’t figured that out yet, but figured I try to save you guys some pain if you’re not hearing anything either.
Thank you I didn't encounter this so I don't know the fix. My system was just the standard speakers so I'm not sure how to respond to comments like this. I have posted some harnesses in other responses that may help
Update, there’s a separate harness for the Bose that is just the speaker wires that go to the amp. Take the output rca cables from the aftermarket radio, split them into two and then I got these little speaker wire to rca adapters with screw plates. It the factory amp speaker harness has 10 wires going into it and there’s a bunch of prongs coming out. It’s a pretty small connector. On one end there’s a red and green, on the other end there’s a purple and light green. Hopefully this helps.
Mine didn't have steering wheel controls but it should keep them. What year is yours? I did one for a 13 - 18 nissan altima and the steering controls still worked great. This was the radio used for that. amzn.to/4dua7Wz
@@rustedpliers1618 '07. I just asked because it's a common question and we'd like to keep that functionality. Some after market units come with harness adapters to retain the feature. With others, it's an extra purchase.
I just used the one built into the head unit. It's just OK. Gets the job dont but if your going to be on alot of calls may want to get a better mic. The mic that you plug into the aux isn't any noticeable difference than the one on the head unit.
A coffee can in my garage haha. It was just a hinge that I glued in place. I don't really use the offline gps bc if I use maps, it is connected to my phone.
quick question, will this stereo still work with the SR model with the Bose audio system? the Bose system comes with a built-in amp so im not sure if it will work. Great video though!
Not completely sure but you may be ok using this harness. amzn.to/3APRmQg Here are some threads you may want to ask them. www.nissanclub.com/threads/switching-bose-head-unit.518911/ www.altimaforums.net/posts/551632/
Hey, so I have the exact radio. I followed your camera setup and wiring to a T, but when I put the car in reverse. The camera is not coming turn on, I don’t get that screen you did. I double checked all my connections and it’s good. Any advice?
Thanks for the comment sorry your having trouble. I would recommend instead of using the reverse light, test the camera and your connections by putting your rear wires (black/red) on the car battery to see if it comes on. Turn on your car, then touch those to your positive and negative. You may have to get someone in your car to see if it swaps over. Or record a video from inside the car to see if it goes into reverse. On the stereo side make sure your trigger wire is on the one that says "back" then your yellow rca on camera. Flip the connection of the clip on the connector that has the single rca on back of the radio. It may go both ways but only one is correct. If that doesn't work, you can try your yellow rca on "video out".
You really should show the connections that what people are having trouble with, not how to plug in GPS and jumping around to other things that are obvious or easy to figure out. What about if no sound comes out?
My numbers are going out. Thanks for the video great watch!
Thanks for the comment! Mine were the same way. On a hot day, I wouldn't have any display.
@rustedpliers1618 exactly. Only time I see display is during winter. But once car heats up it's barely there.
Great install video!!
Thanks! Hope it helps.
@@rustedpliers1618 it definitely did, I installed it today and I LOVE IT
Great video thanks
Thanks for the comment ! I hope the video helped you.
Nice video! So I'm thinking about buying the same car stereo. Is it good?? Or you're having trouble with it?
I love it

does it have the part to plug in subwoofer rca cable ? or just backup cam ?
I think so because I didn't use most of the rca Jack's provided
What about steering wheel controls for volume and changing stations? Are those functions retained?

Sorry quick question, how do you connect all the rca cable to the old radio connector?
Did you retain the factory mic?

Where did you get the right-angle bracket?

Why won’t mine pop on when I turn my car on did everything right but not working
The entire screen won't turn on?
