You don't need to do any of that in OnionOS 4.3, Pico 8 is supported natively. Just turn on Pico-8 in the expert tab and put the Pico-8 files in the Pico-8 folder on your SD card and you're done. :) And it's better than this solution since you can choose to launch splore or whenever you play a game it automatically downloads them and you can just select the game you want to play that way you don't even need WiFi turned on.
I actually got into it pretty heavy in 2018, modded a PSP then Vita, picked up Odroid kits and put them together with my daughter. That and the PocketGO were my go to pocket devices and Vita/Switch everything else. I kinda fell out of the hobby for a bit. Then I stumbled across your video talking about the RP4pro when it was announced and it reignited my interest. I just picked up an Odin2 recently and I absolutely love it but wanted a companion device that I could toss in my pocket. I feel like the Miyoo mini plus is the Miata of the retro handheld scene and exactly what I’m looking for! So thanks for getting me back into the hobby and all the great content you’ve produced :)
Ah that’s so cool to hear. lol Miata is the perfect analogy for the MM+. Odin2 is the ultimate retro handheld right now, and if Android gaming picks up, it’s ready
Commenting because I see this only has one comment (with three replies) it needs more! I love Pico8, got a RGB30 because of it and now learning to code so that I can make my own games - early days still.
Followed the directions. When I try to open Pico 8 in the apps folder on the Miyoo Mini Plus, it starts to load then goes back to the menu. I'm quite sad. This is literally the only reason I bought the console and it's not working :(
Hey brother I was peeping how you setup your description and noticed your YT link to your Goat Miyoo video isn't working. Just a heads up. Also Great Video. Far better at simplifying this than I ever was
I actually prefer to browse splore on my 353vs arkos since mm+ wifi is just way too unreliable. Also the fact that arkos is automatically downloads all recently played carts helps creating your own cart library so much easier. Great video as always
@@adinwalls I wonder if funkey s / rg nano are capable of playing pico 8 though. I have both lying around somewhere. They have square screens and would be good for this kind of content 🤔
@@adinwalls i think it use fake 8 only, so compatibility is limited. That's too bad, I think these would be perfect pico 8 machines. Resolution scaling can be an issue though
@@adinwalls 3:26 then jumps at 3:27. -- I just went and looked at the onionOS wiki for Pico8 and had to add the app in manually. This method didn't work at all but theirs did over there. Maybe it's the updates, but yea.

Hey thanks. I will test this out today.
I keep getting no carts found. What am I doing wrong?
@levimedley9926 hey there. Is it not just bad internet connection?
Super helpful for getting native Pico-8 up and running. Thank you! :)
My Miyoo Mini Plus just clear customs. I'm so excited to finally get my hands on one! Can't wait to try Pico8 on it :)
Woooohooooo! Is this your first retro handheld?

Could ypou help with this process in Spruce for Miyoo A30, please? I followed the instructions, but all I got was a black screen on Pico-8 app...

Hehe hey man. Hope you enjoy your coding journey!
Thanks - perfect video! Really helped.
Great!
Thank you
Hi Man, great stuff on the video. If possible try making a video with using just a mobile phone, SD card and all the software.

Hey just persevere. This tutorial is fairly old so there may have been updates. Are you sure you're connected to WiFi?

Thank you, I’m going to check it now
what’s shipping and costs like from gogamegeek to SA?
0 😀
@@adinwalls 😳
@taphonome ya for most devices shipping is free to SA on GGG. And the shipping is pretty quick too.
Hi Adin! Is it possible to put Pico8 on the Anbernic RG35xx H?
I haven’t looked into it for Koriki yet. It’s not natively supported on the Stock OS
Looks like Koriki may support it
@@adinwalls Thank you.
@@adinwalls Not meaning to encourage piracy, but how does the stock firmware run Pico 8 carts? If you have purchased, carts, how can they be added?
It says cant connect to BBS. My wifi is connected. And ideas what’s going on?
I had that once but it is usually the internet connection. When I initially had the error it eventually just came right. Sorry I can't be of more help

@vhsretrogamer1664 hmmm I can’t recall it playing pico8

Pico-8 is not showing in my apps. I went back and rewatched only to see the video editing JUMP... So how did you get it to load that wrapper?
Hey could you give the Timecodes where it jumps so I can get a better idea of what your issue is.

@MisterGank I will take a look thanks. I know there was an update that allowed a more direct install.
Link pico 8 rompack please

Is it the one where the newest update is 0.81
I updated my mm+ os to 4.3 and now the pico games say future version please update how do i update pico 8?
Is it not just your WiFi connection?
