My mother taught me about that tip about testing real vs faux pearls …… also ….. pearls brighten / glow up the face ! A classic ! They never go out of style or season !and goes with everything …. From t-shirt and jeans to a formal evening gown….. and works with every skin tone !
lol, as this soft summer sits here wearing baroque pearls (with silver) in my bracelets and earrings with brushed soft silver leaves and baroque pearls.
Loved the video today. Antique jewellery is beautiful. Much of it is so intricate you are right they are a work of art. Thank you so much for all the information about the various stones,
The gold I wear is from Peru and is a muted gold, not bright. It looks really good on me, which makes complete sense because my coloring is soft and warm.
I've watched several of your videos but this one solidified that I'm a Summer. My favorite stone (my birthstone) is turquoise and I love pearls too. Now I know why I'm drawn to those... I would love to see the vintage jewelry collection.
Back in November Athena went golden blonde all over and I went 2 shades darker than my natural color. She plans to go caramel or honey blonde. I’m not sure yet what I’ll do any suggestions would be great to stay a winter ❄️
Watched a bit throughout and if I wasn't so experienced and sure of my autumn colouring and what works for me, your first mood board would have depressed me. Tons of amber and gold stones with only a tiny touch of turquoise. I'm a jeweller and and love wearing the warm coloured turquoise, carnelian, coral in rusty red and peach, labradorite in teal, green and even peach. There are more jaspers than I can count that suit, ocean, flower, red, mookaite, unakite. Gotta loosen up those colour palettes.
I draw a lot from Caygill and other older sources when it comes to jewelry recs for Bronze Autumn (or Dark Autumn), and then I mix that in with more up-to-date suggestions. Opal and turquoise I knew about; I was pleasantly surprised when I looked up boulder opal jewelry. Great video!
@@ColorClassInc That it is! I think I will add a couple of boulder opal pieces into my rotation when I can do so. (I've already had my eye on some tiger iron and a few other stones; tiger iron is incredibly striking.)
Indeed it does, which is why my daughter and I do this show together- to make sure that we ladies who are a little bit more mature (I’m 67) are represented.
Dear ladies, could jou do a video about lipsticks for soft and cool? I see Lucinda is soft but wearing a strong color lipstick. I thought it always should be soft pink or mauve Thanks in advance!
Want to know something crazy? I’m actually wearing Velvet Teddy by MAC- if you look at it on the chart it looks quite soft but on me, a soft and muted person, it looks intense. - Lucinda
Can I ask a colour question? Regarding the cut blue stone (Prussian blue) for warmer seasons…. I was watching an artist mix colour and they said that the blues with more yellow in, such as that, was a cooler blue than ones which have more red in, such as royal blue. What is your opinion, does the way an artist see colour relate to the seasons in the same way?
I am an artist, I paint, and was a former scenic painter back in the day, so artists absolutely see color this way. The only slight difference is that in paints, color theory kind of goes out the window. For example, if you mix true red and cobalt blue- you don’t really get a pure purple because pigments aren’t pure. To mix a beautiful purple you need to add a cadmium red which is more of a very deep magenta. I used way more words than I needed to say- PURE prussian blue does fall on the color wheel more toward green and sapphire blue leans more toward red. But to mix a good prussian blue, I would start with a pthalo blue with just a hint of yellow and black. I would need to black because yellow tends to lighten your final product, to offset that we add black. - Lucinda
@@ColorClassInc I had to look up phlalo blue 😄 thank you, that’s a really detailed answer. It really takes time and help to train your eye as a lay person. I recently bought colour wheels and it’s blown my mind how, for instance, I’ve been seeing purple blues as just blue, and pale pinks as pale pink when they’re actually pale orange!!
I think I'm a warm autumn, but I love all the cold color stones kkkk since I'm a crystal fanatic, I'll steel buy my amethyst, labradorite and so 😂 I also prefer silver over gold, but I love autumn colors in clothing
Hi. Most of your vids are helpful and contain good info. However, sometimes I find them too white-centric. Many POC are springs or autumns but they have black or dark brown hair. To say that springs should have red or gold in their hair is very limiting. Also, it would help if your vids featured other celebrities who are POC - not just Zendaya or Beyonce (who you've featured). There are other ethnicities aside from black/ white. There are Asians (and there are diff kinds of Asians), Latinos/ Latinas, Middle Eastern, African (ppl from north & south parts of Africa look very different). Just a suggestion. Thnx for the vids.
@@ColorClassInc thanks. The vlogger "clickfortaz" has a color analysis vid & she's been typed as a bright spring. She has black hair - of Indian (desi) origins. There are other bright springs who have very dark hair.
Love Lucinda’s lip color!
Thank you! Velvet Teddy by MAC
Loved to see some antique brooches. Thanks for information.

I couldn’t agree more!
As a soft summer two of my favorite stones are labradorite and blue kyanite. Great class!
I’m a serious fan of labradorite. Take a look at Alexandrite- you might love it. - Lucinda
@@ColorClassInc 😍
I have been considering kyanite, does it look blue or black in low light?
Being half Hungarian I have an eye for bling! Fun, thanks ladies.

Girl- you’ve found a home right here!
Hi, I think Tanzanite is a perfect gem for Summer! Enjoyed the video.
You girls are so cute together. Thanks for another video. Happy to see your channel continue to grow!

You are very welcome.
For summer/winters don’t forget silver. It’s often played with rhodium now so it doesn’t tarnish like it did in the past.
I really enjoyed the video. I love looking at it. I was always drawn to sparkly stones. Now I know why. A Winter magpie.
Indeed - we will now call you Maggie…
River pearls are also called Fresh water pearls.
Love you both. You have so much knowledge to share!

This is what I need! I'm soft and warm and regular gold is too bright and over powering on me.
What a wonderful video,so informative!
Would love to see something like for summer handbags and shoes.
Great idea!
Fabulous session! 😎
Glad you enjoyed it!
Loooove opals, especially with tanzanite
Where was the photo board for summer pearls
Love this episode. As a child, I collected rocks and had some in almost any color out there. Thanks for sharing.
Very cool
Such a good video, thank you both 😊 And yes please, can we see a video of Lucinda's jewellery? That would be fantastic!
Of course!! Would love to!
Amber (Bernstein)?

Where was the photo board for summer peari colors?
Yay I can get out my chunky cuffs 😅, I have one like an orchid, and one with lapis pearls and tiny turquoise pearls, woven in brass
We’ve been trying to add jewelry to our wardrobe necklace and bracelets. Athena more gold and me silver.
Didn’t Athena do blonde hair?

Does age have better colors to wear? 62 and light skin. Light brown hair(dye it) Brown eyes. I think age can play a role(?).

Pewter soft summer
Oh yes- pewter is great.
How can I tell if I am spring or autumn? I find myself oscillating between the color options.
As a rule of thumb I suggest that you compare the way you look in olive vs leaf green. That should give you an answer.

malakite not an autumn green, a little on the cool side.
