    / roestalker This is my woodland stalking setup: Krico Stutzen in .243Win with Lisenfeld Spezial 3-9x42 scope.
    I used this rifle for a while and it shoots 1" groups or below easily. You can see the rifle in action on the two latest videos with the red stags I shot. You can see it shoots straight. It is not new so a few minor marks on the stock and on scope tube, but glass is perfect. It has #1 reticule which is very good in low light.
    Rifle has nice double set trigger, detachable 3-round magazine and the scope is mounted with Apel swing off mounts. The scope can be taken on and off in a few seconds and always returns to zero.

    Most of mine are Krico ,simply fantastic build quality, I've converted a few people to the dark side of accuracy. 😏 Beautiful example you have

      RoeStalker No, mine has a traditional style hunting stock w/raised cheek piece. Very fine looking furniture. It had been imported by "Trade Winds" in Washington state & sold under the name "Huskey" I paid only 400 for it, wow what a steal!
      On top of that, it was spotless & certainly appears to have never been fired. Extremely accurate! I'm still looking for another!!! I visit w/other Veterans at a area gun shop & one of the Vets spent many years in Germany. He immediately knew what it was when pulled from shipping carton & was flabbergasted I got it for 400. Her said that is a 1200-1600$
      rifle in Germany! After viewing your video, I research Lisenfeld scopes. A great scope which is said to have been in a "league of its own" when compared to S & B scopes. Now that is saying something!!

      MARK MITCHELL Nice one. In the UK full stock rifles are not very popular at the moment and plenty of good rifles for silly money. Everyone wants to have plastic stock and sound moderator. Sadly Lisenfeld scopes are no longer made, but they were quite good and again not very popular so low price. Thanks for your comment.

    .243 is a perfect caliber for medium and small game.

    Nice Stutzen. And as Andrew noted I was also horrified about the bipod - but you had your explanation.
    My only stutzen ( for the moment) is a Luger aka Rem Mod 5 aka Zastava in 22lr. Without bipod 😉.
    Took over once a Winchester 9422 lever action with 2 holes drilled in the fore grip. Previous owner had messed around with a bipod … on a lever action … come on guys, you don’t put a wooden stock , diopter or tang sight on a AR15 as well?

    What type of rifle are you going for instead. I have a .243 as well but it is a heavy semi custom I use it for foxing and mid range competitions. I love the action on the krico. It is like glass. And the apel swing mounts are very handy.

    Hi Greg. I just 2 weeks ago bought my self a krico in 5.6x57 it looks just like yours but its not a stutzen. I haven't had it out stalking yet and it might be next season before I get a chance to shoot a deer with it. I will finish out this season with my .308 and change over the license in the summer.

      Do you like the 5.6 I’m looking for a 600 in 5.6 for coyotes and ground hogs I’ve got a 220 swift and seems like the 5.6 would be faster

    A friend of mine has just bought the same rifle have you any idea what twist rate the barrel is and if you were using factory ammunition what shot the best out of it? Thanks.

    • @RoestalkerCoUk
      @RoestalkerCoUk  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +mag81 I don't have this rifle any more and can't remember measuring twist rate. But it was shooting 100gr Remington Core Lokt well. Didn't try anything else apart from 90gr Sako which also grouped well.

    is the stutzen a 700?
    I just bought one sight unseen, from the pictures mine seems to have a spoon type bolthandle
    Can you see the open sights over the bases?
    Is the safety 3 position?

    • @RoestalkerCoUk
      @RoestalkerCoUk  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I am not sure what model was that, dont own the rifle any more.
      No you cant see the sights over bases, I dont like the idea of setting scope high, the lower the better.
      As I remember correctly it was simple two position safety

    Why would you turn your scope mounting ring with your scope? Looks after your optics

  • @RoestalkerCoUk

    I really rate this rifle and would like to keep it, but UK firearms law is so ridiculous and it is a lot of hassle to have 2 rifles in the same caliber, so much easier and quicker to sell this one and buy another than apply for variation etc.

    All my rifles are Krico. It used to be the german everyman's gun. I could cry crocodile tears over the demise of this company.
