technically if you think about it, phong vu buffalos may have taken a world champion away from UZI, in G2's and Afreeca's group, there were Phong vu and Flash Wolves, the standings were looking like this 4-2 Afreeca, 3-3 G2, and Flash Wolves 3-2 versus Phong vu 0-5 and if Flash Wolves won they would've made it out of groups, and possibly Flash wolves would've been seeded against RNG, and RNG may could possibly beat iG in a close series like in spring and summer splits, and then steamrolled Fnatic for their title, but since Flash Wolves lost to Phong vu, FW had to play a tie breaker match against G2 in which they lost and for the first time in G2 org's history, they made it out of groups with a different roster with only perkz the returning player. Wildcards are fun to watch at times when they play games where it most matters, Kabum helping C9, ANX making out of groups, Flash Wolves and PNG preventing CLG from making it out of groups. FW also helped with Misfits in 2017, by taken down TSM and making it a tiebreaker match with Misfits and TSM for Misfits advancing to the worlds knockout stage where they had that amazing 5 game series against SKT that inspired A lot of teams and especially Vitality
Like how everyone keeps talking about IG winning due to having 2 Koreans... Rookie has literally been in China for like 5-6 years and adapts to the LPL play style. Ning, JackeyLove and Baolan all showed up big time for IG as well. They definitely were some of the best at their roles in Worlds. And yes TheShy is Korean and the worlds best toplaner in my opinion, but that doesnt mean you have to discredit the Chinese players on IG. There are a lot of LPL teams with Korean imports, but they havent even made worlds... Look at RNG for example, full chinese Roster, and look at their succes overall. Its gotten pathetic with the "You got 1 or 2 koreans, hence you are still a Korean team"...

people saying this was the year that Korea lost, but the team that won had 2 Korean imports in the solo lanes...
Don't forget the korean import substitute top
But those 2 korean players didn't get the mvp tho lol don't discredit the work of the rest of the team
@@f.c.4549 but they are the best in the world at their roles, MVP does not matter when you have to import 2 people from the strongest region to win. this applies to all teams with imports. If C9 won, people would call out NA for needing EU imports to win too. it's not much of a regional win if you needed Korea to carry you along the way.
@@Iznikroc my point is if they were the best in the team why didn't they get the mvp
@@Iznikroc also again don't discredit the efforts of the WHOLE team cause its not just rookie and the shy who played amazingly.
the best esport event and the most hype ever i think. other esports events from other game doesnt have storyline like korean dynasty, etc.
Even now, IG is a legend in Chinese gaming history.
World vs SKT (Top: Khan(LCK MVP) and Crazy || Jungle: Clid and Haru(Worlds 2017 Champion) || Mid: Faker (GOD) || Bot: Teddy and Leo || Support: Mata(2014 World MVP) and Effort
The Crownless Are Now Finally King
That Word Makes me Chill :)
Still waiting for an "ssg sweeping skt after losing the previous year" episode.
Griffin, Sanbox and skt send there regards that 3 will wreck havoc at worlds in 2019 just you wait
agreed
Zedrhyx man, it’s going to be so ugly. It’ll be nice to see them not lose a single game at worlds again (SKT)
When theshy was a streamer no lck teams wanted him. theshy wanted to go to skt but skt chose thal over him after bootcamp. he had nowhere to go except lpl. thank you skt~
Take a shot every time he says "early, and often."
If only Samsung didn't disband their championship roster, it would have been a title defense for the Exodia lineup. 2017 Samsung was the best championship roster imo. Even better than Kkoma's SKT with MaRin at the top lane.
It won’t be long until SKT and Korea takes it back.
"It was clear this would be a challenge unlike any Fnatic had faced at the tournament." Ummm what?
Kinda wanted kt to win over ig, but after that game I became an ig fan
to be fair theShy and Rookie carried IG to the finals, which both of them are korean. lmao
Liked the upload 👏👏 Goodluck fam
technically if you think about it, phong vu buffalos may have taken a world champion away from UZI, in G2's and Afreeca's group, there were Phong vu and Flash Wolves, the standings were looking like this 4-2 Afreeca, 3-3 G2, and Flash Wolves 3-2 versus Phong vu 0-5 and if Flash Wolves won they would've made it out of groups, and possibly Flash wolves would've been seeded against RNG, and RNG may could possibly beat iG in a close series like in spring and summer splits, and then steamrolled Fnatic for their title, but since Flash Wolves lost to Phong vu, FW had to play a tie breaker match against G2 in which they lost and for the first time in G2 org's history, they made it out of groups with a different roster with only perkz the returning player.
Serral won Korea’s 20 year Starcraft dominance
Rewatching this vid after TL destroyed IG.
How about them group stages though, poor doublelift just cant make it out
Beautiful content.
Yep.....
This was a great video. I already watched most of the semi-finals and finals games.. but there are too many matches at worlds to actually watch them all. This was an excellent summary video
I only play DotA but love these vids because of the high production quality
Me who’s here in 2020 with Korea back at the top 👁👄👁
I think this was the first and maybe the last time when an EU and Na team made it that far away in Worlds I'm sure the next year will we not see this miracle again and we will have the usual korean and Chinese dominance
It wasn't as much that G2 outplayed RNG it was rather that RNG didn't prepare well for the new meta. Still, credits to EU's outstanding performance this year. GGWP G2.
Drink every time he says:"early and often".
Have mercy on you...
10:00 poor Svenskeren get pushed out of the circle, doesn't get any love for awhile :(
We also lost in Starcraft T^T
don't feel bad we are better than them at fps games when it comes to precise aim and wrist speed we dominate fps wise
@@jutskio9129 west is better in fps, but not because of "precise aim and wrist speed." its just that not many koreans are interested in most fps games. take overwatch for example where koreans dominate the league and worlds.
To be fair, Serral got the best possible bracket, with sOs teamkilling Maru and Stats advancing to the final. Stats's style is the worst when it comes to fighting Serral, imo.
@@scjo89 overwatch doesn't take much aim takes brain mostly and the best lol player is actually na bjergsen see what I'm saying it's not about being Korean it's just the other good ones don't have names
@@jutskio9129 bjergsen>faker? is that you Quickshot? lol
Good video! You said "early and often" three times though. Edit that script! Anyway, looking forward to you (hopefully) doing a video like this for Serral soon!
GenG lmaoooooooooooooooooooooooooo
How did you do at world? Bet you didn't have as many wins let alone make it or take a game off of a semifinals team.
Dude, Rookie and TheShy are both korean. Korea always had and will have top 5 players in the world.
The shy is Chinese he got his name after the Korean player shy
No Theshy is korean
TheShy : doesn't Shy when it comes to smashing you
Rookie : totally not a Rookie at all
Fnc said: I focused on a lot of researching in RNG and KT. Why did finally we VS IG.
IG had 3 Korean players...
Your point?
So you mean that 5 Korean < 3Chinese+2+(1)Korean
Now worlds has become watchable
Everyone gives the credit of ig winning against kt to rookie and the shy. I mean they did a lot, but man, jackeylove’s decisive flash into backline as xayah is really the key to win in the last game. It’s really hard to believe it was his first year playing as a pro; he was so confident.
That Caps' chains at 15:09 is fking lit.how did he even hit that with 3 casters on front
Let’s be real here, Gen.G’s players? Great, very strong.
Management and comp decisions? Ludicrous
If you're not afraid your opponent then you wont lose... unless you're chovy
Funny how the 2 best players on ig are korean
I watch your videos early and often
Still does not change the fact that the east kept on winning since season 2
yes with three korean players with two of them outperforming everyone..smh
yeah 2 best players in the world at moment of championship who carried IG to win is korean, but korean dominance is over LMAO
Gen G at 2:15 were inting their asses off
Crown and Haru could have backed off but they decided to chase into a 2v4 situation
cant wait for an msi video
AFTER THIS WORLDS A LOT OF KOREAN COACHES ARE GETTING FIRED #FACTS
One of the greatest Championships evvvvverrrrrrr!!!
Just when LoL got a good story line ending korean do, DotA got the greatest underdog story to top it
Yup.....haven't seen an underdog story quite like OG's yet. Truly heart wrenchin, edge of your seat quality stuff right there.
West ending china’s dominance
Even though I don’t play dota, that final was so epic.
A bit of misinformation here. 3:40 The LPL teams (especially RNG) were the ones specializing in teamfighting comps during Worlds, rather than LCK teams such as KT. Also Korea =/= SKT, as not only Worlds has quite clearly shown, but also MSI
18:51 that cable though, O.O
looking at Rookie now I think he really is the next Faker, deep champion pool, high mechanics, Loyalty, and Experience
Loyalty, he has. But the moment he falters twice, China sends his regards
Can't wait for a video about how Finland finish(ed) SK at WCS Finals
Ning carried in the final. And Jackeylove is the top 3 adc in the world
ok don't get ahead of yourself with that one jackeylove was by far from top 3 adc in the world
Uzi was much better but Rookie and Theshy was the real ace of the whole series
who woulda thought if you put 3 koreans on your team you win
Eric Mosell and 5 you lose?
20:06 Holly molly its TierLUL KEKW.
Oh my poor Latam in the group of death at the msi 2021.😭😭
