    I think it's more interesting to see a team dominate for a third year instead of seeing a new team rise... I still can't believe they're dominating at the top, it's an incredible feat and you can't help but cheer for the best when they're playing this good

      kin kun IKR. its one thing to get to the top. but to stay on it, that's a lot harder. imagine the pressure on them of needing to always do well because of people's expectations.

      Actually, if we consider the whole SKT roster since season 3 - they have a 10 man roster. Back then, Korea uses the "sister team" system. Meaning, the management of each team can send two teams. Before SKT's dominance - Faker, Impact, Bengi, Piglet and Poohmandu are only part of SKT's second team. They were not the main team at that time. When they became the WC, they became the first team of SKT and called SKT T1 K. The second team was called SKT T1 S. The second SKT team were composed of Marin, H0R0, Easyhoon, Bang and Wolf. After the abolition of the sister team system, Impact and Piglet accept offers from NA. Pooh retires because oh health conditions and these events gave Marin, Bang and Wolf to shine. Anyway, SKT T1 S that time were also good at their own playstyle. They even manage to get into semis of OGN (LCK now) while Faker's team went out.
      To sum it up, since Bang and Wolf were part of the original 10 man roster, they were really familiar with the playstyle of Faker's team that's why it is not that hard for them to adapt. If we commend something here, it is the loyalty of Faker and Bengi to the team despite of receiving large offers from China and NA

    • @jyashin
      @jyashin 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      By your own post, Bang and Wolf were not part of the original 10 man roster. That would be Reapered and co. (can't remember the others on that team) + T1 K lineup.

      I don't know why people hate SKT (Yes, I'm a SKT fan), people think SKT wins so easily, oh they are boring, oh another skt win, booo!!!!. Rox should win because they work hard.. SKT works just as hard or more.

    • @SSkurai
      @SSkurai 8 ปีที่แล้ว +18

      Not all teams have the same struggle as SKT having to defend the top all the time with literally "only" their fanbase cheering for them because everyone else is rooting for the underdogs and would not want to see SKT win again.
      When all odds are against you and you come out on stage to resist it and turn the tide for a win. That's struggle. Let me know when some other team gets on that same level of pressure.

Faker gave me the motivation to play mid, and I admired him. Watching SKT grow reminds me of how I always wanted to rush home and play league. Watching this with how things are now, makes me a bit sad. Well, more like very sad. Damwon right now is on the verge of becoming the next great dynasty... with Kkoma. It's inevitable to not think of SKT while seeing Kkoma with Damwon, especially with how great they're currently are, in contrast to how T1 performed this spring split.
    Maybe I'm still stuck in history and can't accept the fact that everything will eventually change. The greats will fall, records will be broken, players will eventually decline in performance, and new teams will emerge at the top. But I guess my heart will always hope that this T1 will go to Worlds. I hope Faker could win Worlds once again. Just one last time, before he retires. Just one last time in this ever changing game, be the best again Faker. With or without the bearings of history, be the champions T1.

    • @mosessinanta8005

      @@mosessinanta8005 Indeed, my friend.
      I wrote this during their spring split, and was just honestly feeling so depressed after they got 3-0ed by GenG. But the team has truly improved so much since then. Right now, just to see Faker play and still perform so well is enough for me. I hope that we get to see him and the younger ones lift a trophy together.

    This is a great video very well edited seems to be way ahead of your time compared to all the other mini series's you guys came out with. It is unique that it finally showed us an inside look at coach koma and how he handles his players. Great music this time I was focused on the actual video more than the music itself although I can't say the same for recent videos of similarity I find myself more focused on the music rather than the content of the video. I also like how we got a short closeup of bengi in the end really makes me relate to the players almost feel the same way after I win a promotion series or at least I think I do. Thanks for the great video I hope you keep up this kind of trend and use it in all of your videos.

    I feel like everyone takes SKT for granted. Everyone expects them to win, but they also are a struggling team. When the team first got remade after season 5 worlds, they looked absolutely horrible compared to their former selves. I appreciate that they can overcome the obstacles and improve unlike many other teams out there. Have to give props to both the players and coaching staff. I find it more enjoyable to see teams stay at the top because it shows how they are able to adapt to new metas and still dominate.

      Yeah well I honestly feel it's an Asian thing. I'm an Asian and most of the times we are told that as much as what we've done was good, it could always be better. That's why I felt one of kkoma's lines in the video hit home where he said they have to do better and if he told them they did well, it will be over.

    • @NwinDii
      @NwinDii 8 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I think he is probably feeling pretty bad that they got smashed by the ashe miss fortune again when he said it wasn't a problem. World champions right and they are here and have a lot of pressure on them. It does remind me of 2014 when skt was in a huge slump. Faker and the rest of them looked like they were in such pain not meeting expectations.

    • @SSkurai
      @SSkurai 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Honestly, it wasn't even the Ashe and Misfortune most of the time. SKT misplayed Game 3 so hard in a skirmish in the top-side that they could have taken that game easily. There was a lot of disrespect summoners from the side of SKT in both Game 2 and 3 which made them lose to the Ashe & Misfortune combo.

    This was interesting. It was good to humanize what is likely going to be the continued world champions. There was a perspective here that made me a little less annoyed that its just Korea in the finals again. I respect their fortitude despite nerves, and the series against ROX was exhilarating.
