- It’s a regional rematch on the world’s biggest stage as Europe’s G2 Esports takes on China’s FunPlus Phoenix at the 2019 World Championship Finals in Paris. For hometown heroes G2, this match is a chance to avenge Fnatic’s crushing 2018 Finals loss and claim Europe’s first World Championship title in 8 years. I still stand by what i say : Naming the Song Phoenix doesnt deserve credit, it was a mistake because even if it wasnt obviously "fpx theme song", they probably felt like it. Just go back to songs like Warriors, when it comes to names.

That's actually why they stopped; no joke. I forget what year it was but one of the analysts mentioned that the producer of the Eyes On series was actually getting concerned that every team Eyes On showcased would go on to lose; typically really, really badly.

I can't believe LCS team owners and players considered BO3 system too stressful when LPL and LCK has literally been doing it for years and no one complains about it ever. They are the stronger the region and yet they still worked so hard, so what's LCS players' excuse for being the weaker ones and still not working hard? Sure you can blame the soloqueue environment for being bad but you can't use that as an excuse for not playing ranked all the time. I hardly seen this sense of motivation for improvement in players' eyes whenever I'm watching an LCS match. The talented ones let their talent rot and the ungifted ones just give up getting better.

Also tho there are a lot of inconsistencies in NA, I think the teams are more into making money and sponsors. They are also very exclusive. NA does not recognize North American talent they even excluded Latin countries from NA even though they are a part of that region geographicly. Look how diverse LEC is, I really love that about that region wish NA could adopt that.

EU always had a counter against LCK since season 2, but they never expected LPL to be that dominant. I'll be guessing that they will bootcamp (western teams) on china instead of korea next worlds.

That's why they became a little bit cocky since EU were still in a dilemma that LCK was still better than LPL and thought that if they defeat an LCK team, they were better than LPL which was the opposite tbh.

It's actually criminal how LWX's perfect KDA performance and Crisp's impeccable ability to set up plays and establish map control with Tian/Doinb were essentially completely ignored in this video. Even Gimgoon was very useful with his Gangplank play, especially since his ult prevented G2 from making huge objective/tower trades with minion waves since he could clear them cross-map while Tian/Doinb were constantly roaming. I'm just don't think this does the incredible teamplay of FPX the justice it deserves.
Well its a highlight vid so they cant mention all that. Those things u mentioned about the other 3 players are details that a normal fan wont understand. Its sad not seeing them but people who watched the finals know how great every single fpx member was during the finals.
Especially when all the casters were talking about the botlane being the biggest mismatch in the series and how much Perkz was going to outshine LWX

@@aniketnewar3007 Like in the rest of the tournament, you can see the bias from Riot until the very moment, which is this video, that is supposed to be a documentary about the World Champion and the final, meanwhile, they just turned this in "G2 did this and G2 also that, did I mention LEC?", they even gave an special interview to the G2 founder at the stage. After they saw the other LEC teams were eliminated and the LPL eliminated other regions to reach the semifinal, they no longer wanted to talk about "this is the best region" and they tried to turn it in "it's no longer about which one is the best region, it's about which one is the best team".
You may hate FPX when they beat your favourite team lose, but there's no way you can hate Doinb.

1After g2 won skt，fpx knew they would win the final. Because g2 and fpx were like “brother teams”(by crisp) ，had training game all the time. They played about 50 training games with each other，and fpx won 80%to 90% of all（by doinb）
2Fpx had defeat（high wining rate） all the teams （including ig and g2）they had been played with in training，except skt. They played six games with skt and won only one of them. skt was unbeatable in training game, they defeat all teams. But skt looks not that good in the real games .（by crisp）
So most likely g2 didnt lose the final because of "didn't perform well in final", fpx was just simply a higher level team that hard to win for g2. The team that really "didn't perform well", was skt.

Whats amazing about FPX is their unique playstyle and these players barely have international experience. They warmed up to as tournament went on and in the finals, they were not fazed. The confidence of these players is just amazing. A lot of great players choke under the pressure, get nervous on stage, get pressured when the crowd doesn't cheer for them. But not FPX. They were not cocky. They silently improved as everyone kept counting them out

EDG and RNG looking to create two Galaticos teams to win s10 after a disappointing year for both these LPL giants, and you still have IG and FPX (not sure if Doinb actually retires, he said on stream he and his wife are still giving it thought) leading the charge, with TES, BLG and JDG all potential contenders for a third seed also. S10 LPL is going to be pretty stacked, even if they don't win in 2020, this is still the best region to watch the regular splits.

FPX totally brilliant team of players, pure class
Even here, Riot couldn't resist the urge of making this a G2 thing, there was more things they could have said and highlight about the unique strength FPX showed at the World Championship, instead of talking about someone else. I also remember how the English casters were before the tournament "LEC is the best region, now?? (thinking in their mind: Please, say yes)", then, the EU teams got eliminated in quarterfinals, LPL advanced with their 2 remaining teams after beating the other top 3 regions with the LPL playstyle and those casters changed the subject to "It's not longer about the best region, if not, about the best team (thinking again: G2, it's the best, isn't it??)". iG gave them hope by being arrogant at the MSI semifinal (they said they didn't prepare and they thought they were going to beat TL again, like in the group stage) and now, the LPL and FPX brought them back to the reality.

Adrian XenoRay he actually wanted to retire last year, he’s been playing since 2011 and made it „nowhere“, he thought it’s now time to hang his „mouse and keyboard“. His wife told him that he should give it another year and stay at least for one more season.
And now see where he is now, his first worlds and probably his last too. That was the reason he was so emotional and passionate, more than any other player in this tournament. It wasn’t just a tournament for him, it was for his wife. But really, the passion and emotions for this game that Asians show for league of legends, the west should really cut a piece out of that cake

(1)- After G2 defeated SKT, FPX were confident that they would win the Grand Finals. That's because both G2 and FPX are like "brother teams". They scrimmed each other all the time. They scrimmed each other for about 50 games and FPX won about 80%-90% of them.

You know I was for FPX, cause I just liked their style, but what really surprised me and what made G2 one of my favorite team for the years to come, was how they knew they lost, and in game 2 at the end just started to have fun, getting into fights while smiling just having a good time, instead of just surrendering. I loved their attitude!
As for the fans I am super happy G2 lost cause what the fans where doing with flaming SKT after an obvious pressure moment against G2, while Faker had a misplay, I just got super satisfied that G2 fans got silenced.
