It kind of seems to be framing a "happily ever after" ending but it transforms into a dark twisted "same old ever after",with a sense of existential dread. It basically ends the same as the graduate. The heroes get exactly what they wanted and the world is theirs, but the movie hangs on the extra second just to fill the audience with a sense of unease. It's beautiful really.

Very true! @@MartyMcFly88
Does anyone know the song that starts at 1:03:55?
Picked up clerk's back in the day when Kroger's still rented out videos had no clue what it was about but later that night I sat in front of a big screen tv amazed and even tingling a bit in my gential area from watching clerk's
This is the best movie he has ever made. Dogma is a close runner-up.
I'ma have to check Dogma out then
Def check Dogma out
God this is just such a perfect dose of nostalgia.
@57:17 Randell in jail with Dante. I have to say, Jeff Anderson was a world class actor here. It's a brilliant scene, the whole film hinges on this scene, and would have failed if Jeff didn't make you believe it. That's called acting. Yea, I was fucking shocked too!
I appreciate this movie a lot more now.
Why didn't Jeff Anderson have a bigger career? He is a funny guy.
Ikr he's hilarious, I just think he would go his own way and not want fame or something
You're a funny guy, mate, if anyone is...
@@itsMrNoble you're funny too
Can't wait til Clerks 3.
Honestly watching this has given me a lot of respect for Kevin Smith.
Awesome! thanks for posting this !
Quentin and everybody was previewing his movie.. I'd be nervous asf as well.. who wouldn't
"That's beautiful, man..."
Every time he says he's not going to do it again he ends up doing it again that's what I love about Kevin who else can't wait for Jay and Silent Bob reboot
Rosario Dawson is fucking beautiful
Humanshieldchorus00 Great tatas!!
Humanshieldchorus00 i liked her better w/ a few extra pounds but, yea, shes still great looking
Is that Jared Leto ?
for real!
Thats getting alittle picky..."that chick from transformers is hott, without the gross thumbs"
It's baffling how *no one* ever points out how Kevin constantly does there "and whatnot" verbal pause.
I love Kevin so much I'd love to meet him one day and talk for a while about film and life
53:12 lmaoo I love how he says, "I didn't want to do a typical donkey show, " like ahh yes, because we all knew about the typical donkey shows before this movie.
Does anyone know the soundtrack in this documentary? It’s really chill and I can’t find the names of the songs anywhere.
There is song playing at 1:03:55 that I’ve been trying to find since I bought the dvd when it came out.
If Kevin ever decided to become a Monk, he has a head start
