  • Troubleshoot the iPad 7 for not responding to touch screen.
Unfortunately, I'm not able to fix the iPad.
After a hard reboot and replacement of new digitizer screen, the iPad still does not want to response to touch.
That itself has determine the logic board touch sensor has gone bad.
More likely you will need a logic board replacement which not recommended to do this repair. At this point, you might as well get a new iPad.
This is for iPad 7th 10.2 inch

beautiful method on how to diagnose touch ic replacement. This is a problem on all iPad models that have the digitizer as a separate unit.

Hi Simon, have you ever encountered an issue connecting the Digitizer cables. I had a recent iPad 9 repair and the digitizer cables just would not afix, I tried two different screens and the same issue. I can not see any visible damage to the connectors on the iPad but I assume this is the problem as you can sometimes get some touch and ghosting but the cables are not fully fixed.

my screen jumps after repair im wondering if the touch ic went bad during repair. I have fixed a lot of older iphones 4th gens when you had to remove the motherboard and all to change the screen but this is my first ipad and the apple care ran up so figured i would try not sure if something to do with the lcd replacement or i just damaged something somehow

I would try replacing the digitizer glass. If that does not fix the issue, more likely ipad logic board is bad.
