@@MatNull assuming you bought the auto due to it being a luxury car hows the paddle response from pulling to actual gear change i plan to get this over the older one mostly due to the better interior. but if ima go with auto i'd hope for quick paddles

The A5 is kinda my dream budget car. And I did spot the easter egg. Funny how, when I went to Germany, the rental car was the old A5, driving on highway A5, using the phone, A5! Great review

Hi Matt, love your reviews, I like the 0-60 test and the 5 annoying things about the car, amusing also 5 best things!! your advice on what to look out for is invaluable. keep up the good work.
C-class isn't better (maybe it looks better but that's it). I've sold one after 2 months of ownership. It's not that fun to drive, the 2.1 diesel in c250d is very noisy, rear seats are very cramped, and infotainment system is a pain to use. Although it's very comfortable on motorways and it's very easy to drive.
I'd say if you want a fun car get a 2-series or 4-series with a petrol engine (230i/m240i/430i/440i). If you want a comfy cruiser get the A5 with a V6 diesel and Quattro. If you want a good looking car which feels most luxurious then get a C-class coupe, but from my experience I suggest to avoid the rattly 2.1 diesel and rather get a petrol C300 (or, even better, a C43 or C63)
Interesting to hear your experiences Dmitry! We're with you on the 2.1 and infotainment system though. Some say that the CEO of carwow just bought a C Coupe… and that it has a V8 in it and a stripe down it.

Started watching this guy as I search for my first car(BMW420d/AudiTTS), and pleasantly surprised to see one non BMW video where the BMW`s infotainment system isnt mentioned by Mat
Can we look forward to a review of the A5 Sportback sometime in the new year and perhaps a group test with an S5 Sportback and a 440i gran coupe. That would be fantastic, considering getting one of those on 2017

hi matt im actually looking to buy a coupe as my next purchase was seriously considering the 4 series but just watched this review and the a5 looks nice overall which of the two cars will u recommend, i know probably the bmw drives better but it looks a bit dated now as well as the interior, i would appreciate your opinion cheers

The chair may take its time to move forward but at least you don't have to be pressing the button all the time since it goes forward and backwards automatically (unlike the 4 series for example)

on the car wow website it says the virtual cockpit is standard and the car comes with reversing camera as standard. just saying so you can correct this

Previous generation A5's look way better, only upgrade here for me is the interior.

Ordered mine, big step up from my BMW, and I was sold on the interior, it’s sooo classy in there I had no car envy whatsoever even when a Range Rover SVR pulled up next to me at the lights and I love that car. Roll on March 19

I had a manual version of this from Audi for a day, in manual form it was terrible, they've put the clutch pedal so close to the foot rest that when you change gear the footrest knocks your foot off the clutch. I think in Auto it would be much better
