I managed to get my prometheus for a little over 100 by layering a few discounts together. By far my favorite, but I happen to like the ergo of the juggernaught. While my nemesis is great as well, i havent had the chance to pick up the rechargable battery for it yet, and the included rechargable with the prometheus is great. As an aside, feeding it is expensive still, but apparrently lightake hirs are half the cost of headshot and fire pretty good from what ive seen from a few channels. But still kinda waiting on some more people to talk about it before i sink a bill into a bag.

Cup Man oh boy, thatd be a shitstorm. Imagine all the mods in progress, all the mods by small time guys, and all the people that will say man hours should count. Oh, i bought $400 worth of stryfe stuff and put it together in 5 minutes vs i made all this stuff for $100 and put over 200 hours in it.
Man hours don't count. It should be top 5 most expensive mod kits you can buy. $500 kit for a $30 blaster :)
Lord Drac, I think it would be really cool to see you do a Top 5 Best Nerf Blasters to Use for Movie Props. Like, which blasters look the most like something you would see in a sci-fi movie or would work well as prop guns. Love your content Drac, keep up the good work sir :)
Crazy but true story. I picked up a used but in excellent condition Prometheus for $25 Canadian dollars which is $19 American. By far the sickest score yet out of any nerf blasters I have.

Awesome video! I own 3 of the 5 blasters! (1 Rhino-Fire 1 Nemesis and 2 OG Terrascouts!) If I was not saving up for something big I would get the Prometheus as well, as it is such an incredible blaster!

I was able to get a prometheus for $89 black friday from Wal-Mart for my 10 y/o son. The performance is great, but the ergonomics are horrible! Would love to be able to buy a 3d printed housing that would accept the internals and hopper that make it more like a nemesis shape. We love watching your videos, thanks!

Nerf just released a bunch of stuff in Australia and the pricing is really bad. The Infinus is $129AU, Scravenger $88, Evader $65, and special pack Demolisher with heaps of modulous add-ons $175!!!

I have two of these, and I purchased both on clearance well under half their prices.
Adventure Forces line of “rival” rounds are pretty cheap and work very well. Packs of 150 for 20 bucks at Walmart
*better than nerf for half the cost.
Af blasters are built for the enthusiast and they are awesome for it

That’s true in Australia we get like 0 blasters and if so they cost 💸💸. Also they don’t sell rival in Aus so I’m depressed when they release a god like the nemesis.

Hey Headshot ammo on Amazon has some good quality 3rd party darts that cost like almost half as much as Nerf brand rival rounds.
think I paid $40 a couple months back for a Mastadon direct from Hasbro via their ebay store. threw in a 3s lipo and loved it. had to buy a second one at that price!

The adventure force tactical strike rounds are cheaper than nerf rival rounds at least by half and I buy them from Wal-Mart, spent 100 bill and got 750 rounds cause they cost 20 dollars for a container of 150 rounds. They are still not the cheapest but are still a better alternative than the official nerf rival rounds

Nowadays, the most expensive blaster that hasn't been discontinued is the Titan CS-50. It's being sold for FOUR TIMES its MSRP.

When the Prometheus went on shelves it almost instantly went on sale for around $140 usd and when Black Friday/cyber Monday came it was on sale for $90 usd

The reason for the 'juggernaut' style is to emulate the Pulse Rifles from Aliens, I think...though those used a support arm rather than a sling.

The dart zone ballistix ops ammo is a good rival round substitute
I wonder if one could 3-D print a Prometheus body with a rifle stock to anywhere near the kind of plastic quality Hasbro gets with injection molding it. Pretty sure that you (being Drac) could work out the wiring in a way that maybe the tray where the battery is located becomes the stock? I don't know. I'm just an enthusiast.
Well drac it’s pretty self explanatory that a gun that is a heavy class will be more expensive than others so I see no reason to complain about a juggernaut style holding

I have all of these, and quite honestly, the only ones really worth the money in my opinion are the Rivals. The rest can be fun and have a cool factor, but they're not very practical.
Ok so on real machine guns like the M60(the rambo gun) and 249B (modern LMG) the handle is not designed for use when shooting. Its there to help with removal of a overheated or worn out barrel. The weight of these weapons is such that if you tried to carry it like that not only would you not be able to put rounds where you want it would also make it more likely that the uncontrollable recoil ends up making you shoot your buddy in the backside. To which he is very likely to take offense.
I found an ultimator on Amazon for $700 once, also could a brushless rhino fire fix its problems?
