For me personally, Season 6 was the last update that suited the season structure. It simply doesn't work now, there has to be a change to the update cadence. Monthly pirate emporium updates can't sustain the game for 3-4 months. Each main update drop has to come with activities that will keep us entertained between update drops, instead of 1 day gameplay that can be completed quickly, only for paid cosmetics to keep us with the game. Seasons should feel like ... well a season, they should feel like significant eras in the Sea of Thieves. Sorry for the rant, it could very well just be me personally.
Exactly. Season 6 also dropped content during all the season, the seaforts came first, the adventures were going on, and the legend of veil came at last. Really a season to enjoy.
I'd say season 8 with hg was good. The rest weren't seasons
always gotta be haters
@@brunoventura3 adventures are gone
Monthly updates were best (aside from year 1). I will die on this hill.
That storm curse should have been a hunters call curse.
That would have been a cool idea. I honestly dont mind some of the new curses being in the shop or plunder pass. It gives incentive to support sea of thieves development and its not like we arent gonna get free curses you can earn by doing quest and stuff.
I caught every single fish, got the legendary hunter of the Sea of thieves, title, and then they want me to pay five dollars to get the curse that I rightfully deserve. Safe to say I don’t think I’m going to spend money on this game ever again.
@@ftgwynn keep crying bud 🤣
Curses in the emporium is the worst rare has done in a while
Yeah it's pretty bad and certainly not what I want to see from such a good game. The pirate emporium by itself is a good thing so rare makes money while we get free updates and content, but curses should stay completely out of paid territory. Not only that but imagine how much cooler the stone curse could've been if you unlocked it by interacting with the story, voyages, or environment like the other curses.
@@twitchypaladin8859 exactly
Some of the costumes have been basically curses so this has been going on for a long time.
your being dramatic
My god the sea of thieves community are just pansies. Don't buy it if you don't like, its simple. You crying like a child won't change rares decision to make money 😂
Normally, I'm not really against any form of paid cosmetic content. I'm fine with those willing to pay extra keeping the game running for the rest of us, so long as it didn't give an advantage.
Though it is concerning when your only progression in the game is also cosmetic. The more they push new cosmetics into the emporium, the more it makes me question if there will be cosmetics worth grinding for.
It’d be fine if the game was fully free to play, but there are many who paid full price for base game. They make more than enough with cosmetics, so this is just corporate greed at this point.
This is the issue. And the earnable stuff is bad.
Theirs enough stuff you can earn in the game, they can put stuff in the shop at this point.. I guarantee most of the people saying that they shouldn’t add stuff into the shop haven’t even grinded for all the cosmetics you can earn in game. Or they’re just broke🤷♂️ this game has the best micro transactions of any game. Being able to buy the exact amount of ancient coins you want/need. If you can’t afford 6 dollars for some ancient coins that’s just sad😂
Edit, I copped the storm curse and it goes so hard defs worth the 7 peanuts lmao
@@shanekirkpatrick9941 The issue isn't with having enough/not having enough money. The issue is with maintaining goals for the playerbase. Having goals to shoot for is a large part of why people play video games. Many players enjoy the gameplay loop well enough, but it does eventually feel bad when you're doing the same goals with no reward at the end.
And again, I'm not saying having paid content is a bad thing. It's how microsoft justifies keeping the servers up so far past launch. The issue comes when the primary reward for playing (cosmetics), get pushed more and more out of the earnable category. And instead get shifted into the option of paying to instantly obtain. It's a balance that's tricky to maintain.
And the more time goes on, the more that balance is being weighted towards the emporium. The emporium is seeing a couple dozen items added to it each month or so, meanwhile earnable cosmetics are seeing maybe 10 new items per season, the majority of which are recolors. And now curses, previously a cosmetic exclusive to in-game challenges, have been added to the list of cosmetics they're willing to crank out for the emporium.
@@shanekirkpatrick9941 okay swabbie
The fact we didnt even get a small fetch quest to go steal the burning blade is crazy.
If it was so easy to guess who stole the burning blade and if Tasha is hearing so much like she states if you talk to her, why the hell did she just leave it on the counter overnight and not think to maybe hide it.
The issue with most current story parts (Imo) is just that no one thinks anything through or gets surprised when the obvious happens, the characters i mean.
Also curses in the Emporium continue to be a bad idea, we already get brand new models for costumes and whole ships on a regularly never-ending basis, now they're doing recolours of paid cosmetics as well as paid curses.
I don't mind supporting some games but they are owned by a Trillion Dollar company, i think they can afford to miss one or two Emporium updates in order to add more in game items.
Thats not how it works. If there not actively making more money, they wont update. Thats just how business works.
@@jordanroberts8785 I'm aware of how businesses work in the sense of "making consistant/more profit = continued business" but the point I was trying to make was with the fact that they're trying to push the Emporium shop so hard.
They update it with mostly entirely new items with unique and new models as well as pets, apperance potions, ship renames, crests, trinkets and so on.
The main game is being given drip-fed items that should of come out over a year ago and the Emporium is getting brand new stuff every month or so.
The game is essentially their business and they are deciding to upgrade the snack machines rather than the work conditions, letting the building slowly decay whilst expecting everyone to continue on as per normal. (a bit of a wide comparison but I'm sure you can see what im implying)
Arena was closed because of a "lack of players", Hourglass faces the same possibility due to lack of updates to get more people playing, consistant bugs and hackers still plague the game despite the anti-cheat, yet they still have the time to push out tons of new stuff for their cash store every single month without fail.
That is my point.
I'm sure it's microsoft pushing all that, as it always is, but it doesnt make it any less frustrating for most people.
@@jordanroberts8785 Oh really? *cough* No Man's Sky *cough*
@@Mister_Blean never played. But its how a lot of gaming businesses work nowadays. Most devs only care about money now. Its rare to find a game with a supportive dec team (examples being DRG and remnant 2)
In truth, I feel like they had a missed opportunity on having the reapers or flameheart show up back in the monkey island tall tale to force the burning blade away from le chuck in the finale
It should have been the case. No need for this convoluted stuff
Flameheart forcefully getting the sword from LeChuck or even just objecting would feel weird for the crossover. Someone who just came for Monkey Island would have said:
"Who is this skeleton? Why is HE the one who saves the day by stealing LeChuck's sword?"
Instead of Flameheart beating LeChuck's backside, everything should have played like it does now...
BUT when you enter the Tunnels of the Damned to return to SOT, The Pirate Lord should have appeared and said something like "I didn't want to ruin the happy moment back there but... *the sword is gone".*
@@Thorumsu yeah I can see what you mean. I do agree at the very least the pirate lord at the end should’ve said something along those lines still, it would make for fun what if scenario
@@Thorumsu that's exactly how the tall tales are though normally they have a story that is tied in.
Remember when they said and I quote, "Flameheart has a huge role in the Monkey Island Tall Tales"? They literally lie through their teeth to us. And we eat it up and forget about it because "MONKEY ISLAND IS SO COOL" yes. That thing that maybe a few people played as kids a long time ago, that really had no place in Sea of Thieves. Just another collab for them to do.
People seem to forget everything Rare talks about. Half of what they say is all just blatant lies to get people's hopes and hype up.
for me I've kinda given up on sea of thieves, it use to be one of my main games that I would play after getting home from work cause I found it so much fun to grind out and try and figure out the lore stuff that was happening at the time. but over the past year or so, think since season 4, I havent really had motivation to boot it up and the story just seems so dull now. wish this game couldve gone in a different way
season 4 was almost 2 and a half years ago lol. It's been ages since any content came out.
I started playing in mid season 9, so everything I know about SoT lore comes from videos and the tall tales. I really wish we had seasonal updates that felt like seasons, and things like arena and adventures came back in some form.
I’d especially love it if the old adventures came back, just as tall tales for newer pirates to play through. Little to no change needed
Arena was a bad idea. The same reason Safer Seas is so unpopular. Removing PvP or PvE from Sea of Thieves removes the purpose behind doing anything and alienates the playerbase.
Fun fact: The double barrel pistol + flintlock combo can now 2-shot a pirate (45 + 55 = 100 damage)
Flintlock does 50dmg
I believe the single shots are still 40
@@awilchesss4538 No, it’s 55%.
@@AShinyRay although I don’t remember them directly saying the shots are now 45 each, they said that a double shot will now do 90 damage. 90/2 = 45.
Also, seaofthieves.wiki.gg/wiki/Double_Barrel_Pistol
@@awilchesss4538flintlock does 55. It is unclear if the double pistol does 45 a shot, though, or if it just gains a bonus on the double shot.
daddy microsoft really needs to make it's money back after that activsion blizzard deal
You would think with how successful sales on PS5 are for this game they actually made some bank - but I guess there‘s always more to want. Greed is like cancer - it won’t stop growing.
@@evilsohn there stock holders say they must infinitely grow so that's what they do they could make a billion in profits a year but if its not 1.5 billion next year the stockholders will get mad.
@@limyarplane1991 sad, but true.
Feels like this update was a big L and they just haven't realized it yet or they're blatantly ignoring the fact that so many people complained about them selling curses
I think that there testing paid curses to see if the people like paid to curses
Step 1. Make all curses require hours upon hours of boring grinding 2.put curses in the shop 3. ???? 4. Profit
I still think the game has a long life ahead of it but I’m also curious how much Microsoft pushes rare. I’m sure it’s mainly about the pirate emporium shop
Why was the new gold hoarders boots put into the outpost shop and not the faction shop? Also I was given the beardless dark warsmith tor free after already owning the default.
You got the Beardless one? I definitely didn't 😢
They said it'll be in the GH shop in a later update, but im not sure why it isn't there now
@@decepticonsoundwave297 wouldve taken them 0.02% more effort to put it into the right shop
@@spookysushi4079 it wouldve taken no additional effort whatsoever

You’ve inspired me to listen to the Minecraft ost while playing SoT. Some of it fits very well, especially Aria Math

Why even give the sword to Tasha if they were just going to have it taken away like that? Surely they could've just had it stolen from the Pirate Lord himself and left Tasha as she was until they get back to whatever the Bretheren is doing?
Who knows Bonnie? Who knows?
At this point, it's pretty obvious the whole Tasha arc was just an excuse to get the sword out in the open so the Reapers could steal it so that Flameheart could use it to manifest the Burning Blade ship from his memories.
@@TheHallow31 fr, why else would it have been on top of the counter where literally anyone could see it?
@@oye6124 Exactly. Could it be considered a little too easy for the Reapers to steal it? Probably. Do I care? Nah, not really. It's a cartoon at the end of the day. There's gonna be some plot conveniences here and there. And as long as it allows the story to go where it needs to, I'm all for it.
I like how they want you to pay for the storm strike curse and won't show you a preview of what it looks like on your character. I bet it's completely lackluster in comparison to the sunken sorrows curse.
Took one for the team and bought the curse just to see how it looks. Not gonna lie, it's pretty kickass.
@@TheHallow31 I have enough ancient coins. I just want a preview of what it would look like on my character.
@@sages101 sign up for the insider build. That version of the game gives you like a million ancient coins. I always use it to pov test any cosmetics that grab my attention in the emporium

Lol at the ship meta changes 6 years in. Testing how that feels now might get me to hop into SoT
At least the Brig is only *checks notes* 6 years old in July. Huh.
The Double barrel should:
1. Click to fire while aiming
2. Charge shot should shoot through multiple enemies like a sword lunge
And then it’d be a cool weapon.
Lol no.
Since adventures stopped, no story in game has been going for me. After that bad excuse of a red sword, now Tasha is magically cured of the worst curse that could befall a pirate in the Sea of Thieves?
Adventures probably would've given it a better ending, but those got cancelled and they had to slap something together last minute.
Because that's what this whole thing feels like. Slapped together.
I thought we resurrected flameheart by doing the sea fort events back in s7, what happened to make him need reserecting again?
Who knows lmao
That is technically the case from the perspective of the story. He's been back this whole time since the conclusion of the "Return of the Damned" event, just offscreen. The sword is gonna be used to manifest the Burning Blade ship.
Very cool! Curses are no longer special. You can just get them by swiping your card.
You’re acting like there aren’t free curses still. This will only be a problem if they never add earn-able curses again. Right now theres no problem with a curse being added to the emporium
Cry some more acro 😂😢
I don't think they ever were. The most "special" and difficult to obtain is the sunken curse, and most people don't even like it. Every other curse just requires a little bit of time put into their respective methods of obtaining. And guides to find books lol.
However, the skeleton curse is an odd case, while the curse itself is not impressive, some of the cosmetic unlocks are.
you seem to have triggered the sot fanboys
@@hurricanegriz8011 lmao. I only started playing more seriously recently. And even then im stopping to play DRG since season 5 is coming out. Im just stating curses in the emporium is not an issue rn.
I don't know why everyone's convinced that the sword is gonna play a part in Flameheart's resurrection. He's *been* back since the conclusion of the "Return of the Damned" event, as far as the story is concerned anyway. He's been here, just offscreen.
The Burning Blade sword is going to be used to manifest the Burning Blade ship.
Sea of thieves has not been the same since the days of flame heart, the reapers, the fire nado days, SOT lost me with the jack sparrow and overpowered creatures, i miss the days when i would play solo i would loot islands, shipwrecks, collect supplies, fish, hunt, feel like a real pirate, hanging out in smugglers bay waiting for a friend to go online so we could go find a ship to sink.... the good ole days..... One the old vids of me and our crew th-cam.com/video/w4CKlKUIC80/w-d-xo.htmlsi=y3PhKlWwS0AF1_wi
Oddly enough they dropped the curse from their monthly trailer
Interesting
You mean the Pirate Emporium trailer that they dropped earlier today? No they didn't.
There’s this thing with rare reusing costumes or weapon sets and slightly changing them to look different lol. Just add a new color and BOOM… you got yourself some “ new “ cosmetics 😂
I wonder why they don't add more tall tales, especially when they have added events that are no longer accessible by any means like the hungering deep.
Because they want to force playes to play the updates. If they went back to tall tales people would just cone for those and then log off til the next tale.
Was disappointed you can't prime the DP to fire both barrels before boarding, even if it immediately fires on climbing the ladder it'd be a nice surprise for people ladder guarding. Could even auto fire if you release the ladder to bait out a shot so you can fire back and make them potentially retreat to heal.
I think puting curses in the emporium is fine. It doesn't really take away from the novelty of ghost or skely curse
lets say the wind comes from 11oclock. all ships has to angle the sails now? will the brig be faster with 1 angled sail or 2 angled sails?
Both sails angled is faster
I always kinda hated the red colors on the Warsmith, we have so many red-gold-black colored outfits weapons and the like, but very few darker silvers and blues. It may be the only skin i may actually buy all the stuff as its close to one of my favorite color combos.
So all there was for the update was the flintlock was adjusted to what if should be and same with sailing. Great update guys 👍
Does the pistol change mean it does 45+45 now? Or 40+40+10 as a bonus for using the double shot? Because if it does 45 that means a regular pistol (55 dmg) and one double pistol shot now results in a two shot down, with a spare shot for error. Could be good to play at mid range.
IS THAT FUCKING BLUE?!! - Angry Joe
This is exactly what I was afraid of when the emporium was first implemented
Great vid but correction i ha e the beardless dark warsmith with out paying its just a visual bug
Not a fan of the brig getting changed. It's the easiest of the ships to sink and is designed in a way that its thinness makes it easy to knock crew off; this made it a fantastic glass cannon in the right hands with it's speed.
Now it really doesn't have anything that separates it from the other two much more tanky ships that either have insane turning or a devastating broadside to accommodate the longer sink times
Brig is also the easiest to keep afloat. Literally don't even need to use WASD/left stick to bail, if somebody else is on repairs. The speed was too much. Against a good crew, pressure will take a person off either cannons or wheel on sloop, and often 2 people off cannons on gally. Against a good crew, brig can still very much operate like a sloop with one still on wheel and one still on cannons.
You think sloop has a devastating broadside? 😂 brig is still much better than a sloop.
@@crunchberries6328 no that's the galleon's upside, sloop has the control
What I wish returns is when your loading in the banners that show up is changed back to images showing activities during the season and has a little description of what it is like the old days
All I want to know is why those gold hoarder boots aren’t in the gold hoarder shop lmao rare.
Though, I shouldn’t expect a decent UI/UX from devs who think a 50+ page premium shop is good for business.
I didn't even consider this...
I got the previous plunder pass, not for the Stone Curse, not even really for the other cosmetics. I had earned an Xbox gift card and wanted the extra Ancient Coins, maybe Rare should poll the community on what they buy and why before assuming things will just make money lol. I'm patient enough [if I'm still playing] to wait for the Storm curse to come in like the Legend curse did.
Just FYI, the Legend curse was always free. The storm curse will not he free.
3:39 - We need these sails in-game.
I gotta say that this feels even more bad than the last year sot had. For me the game feels just more lifeless the more rare does to it. I am happy with the the content that they announced, but leaving the lore behind like they do it now is just not the way. This years xbox showcase was ok, but if I imagine that they could have announced a big tall tale coming to the game, the little 1 min trailer feels cheap.
I really hope that I am the only one that is feeling like this, because I love the game, but not like it is at the moment...
I feel the exact same way
Im confused about the ship changes ngl, does this mean even if you cant catch fill wind on a sloop you should still not have your sails forward?
That's right, all ships need to angle the sails to catch even the slightest wind now. It was like this in Brig and Galleon but now the Sloop needs to do it too
Off the cuff, if they're offering recolors, I'm curious and interested to see them do a recolor of the Rogue Tinkerer set! that's my favorite!
Excited for all the changes! 🎉
And to all the other issues,I can still not invite friends to the guild from the Guild menu because "no friends to show" is still a thing. It annoyed me a lot to discover that it's still a thing.
I saw the thumbnail and thought they were getting rid of that wreck on shipwreck bay that was bugging out dig quests on the island
The main menu pirate log has me missing my distinctions
So they just took the sword? No issues? Ok
You'd think Tasha would've learned from when they stole the orb. Guess not...
Pretty sure the sword won't be used to resurrect Flameheart, as he's already been resurrected. They'll probably use it to summon the ship
This was one of my favorite games for the last few years, I’ve been sailing around fishing and enjoying the seas, helping others catch fish and just cooking for random players while I hitchhike. But with all of the fishing and everything that I’ve done in the hunters call I have a little to show for it and absolutely no curse. And the curse that would’ve looked amazing to go with the hunters call ends up in the pirate Emporium. I have supported this game up until this point and I am fine with other cosmetics in the pirate Emporium. But putting curses in the plunder pass or the pirate Emporium behind a pay wall is just depressing. Flat out. I can’t see myself supporting this game anymore. They haven’t done anything with the hunters calling years and, they didn’t even give us rings. There’s no point in sailing anymore. I have nothing to work towards other than making the Hunter milestone in my pirates log to 3000 instead of 2000. It took the wind out of my sails.
I wonder why rare won't add pet cooking alive
I wonder why...
@@thepanman674 its an essential part of everyday pirate life. Same as pirate burying alive.
It would be so cool if we got a voyage where we're sent to the sea of the damned to rescue a lost soul on behalf of the pirate lord or smth, maybe it's his friend, maybe it's pendragon, but when we've set them free it's revealed to actually be flameheart
Another thing to note is that they fixed a bug that made the monkey's Island tall tale unfinishable. So for players who haven't already gotten the commendations to complete monkey Island 100% that's a really good part of the update
The only commendation that I had problems with is 250 horn of winds sell.. like I didn’t find it once even though I was looking.
People mad about curses in plunder pass and pirate emporium are crybabies.. im just happy we are getting new curses. The idea of curses is what partially made me love this game so much and if we can have a diverse set of pirates with their own curses i think thats amazing. So long as we still get curses that you can grind for through story, voyages and commedations.
The PvP meta has been stale since the game came out. The best players use the same things because nothing beats it. Eye of Reach and/or Blunderbuss. I still have ideas for the balance, though. Since 2020 and sometime afterwards, my thoughts on some of these ideas have not changed.
EYE OF REACH
- Aim speed has increased from .7 seconds to 1 second.
- Removed the ability to shoot before fully scoping into the Eye of Reach. (Pirates could previously fire a shot 0.3s into the aiming animation, allowing perfect accuracy while not even aiming, that has changed and now Pirates but aim fully before firing a shot)
- Aiming and moving with the Eye of Reach will cause a "sway" effect and slight inaccuracy. Standing still while aiming for at least 0.35s will immediately remove the "sway" effect.
The Eye of Reach changes aim to remove the powerful CQC abilities of the Eye of Reach while also keeping it viable as a long-range and high damage sniper in SoT's gameplay. There is no reason to use a Flintlock in the EoR's current state, as it serves as a pistol that does about 70 damage.
BLUNDERBUSS
- Maximum ammo capacity reduced from 5 to 3.
- Pellet damage reduced from 10 to 9 (100 to 90 when landing each pellet). This removes the full health to one-shot ability of the Blunderbuss, needing some sort of slight damage to finish an opponent at close range.
The Blunderbuss changes aim to remove the frustrating aspects of the Blunderbuss, like the "one-blundey", but also keeping it powerful and viable in CQC. Being one-shot by a weapon a Pirate can carry/switch at nearly anytime is a bit much and needs tuning. Things like Cannonballs and possibly items they add make sense, as they are a resource and requires much more effort to execute a one shot.
THROWING KNIVES
- Pirates will now "dodge" while preparing to throw a Throwing Knife instead of jumping. Similar to how Pirates can "dodge" while blocking with the Cutlass. Allowing counterplay to many of its major downsides.
- Stabbing an enemy Pirate in the back with the Throwing Knife's "power stab" will inflict the "Poisoned" effect for 6 seconds. (Poisoned removes 5% health every 1 second over a period of time)
The Throwing Knives changes aim to improve the usability of the weapon and provide a reason to use it other than very specific scenarios, such as Tucking, while also increasing its overall strength. I think the uniqueness of losing health over time due to a power stab will cause players to lean more towards using it generally.
I believe these changes should be enough to dethrone the best combo. There may need to be other changes to the weapons, but there is no reason for the Eye of Reach and Blunderbuss to be as strong as they have been for so many years. Regardless, these changes aren't perfect and certainly needs more thought to them before being implemented, but I think they could be a step in the right direction.
I saw the curse... and immediatly thought to myself: "How did Rare miscalculate so badly. This is gonna upset their diehard player base"
For a game that is essentially purely cosmetic based(obviously it’s about having fun) and unlocking things. But they need more cosmetics that aren’t locked behind a pay wall. I know myself am running out of things to spend my gold on in the basic shops that I like. I have like all the DA equipment and some clothing but even passed that I’m not that interested in the ship set. We need more cosmetics to unlock in my opinion.
It's sad to See that the Emporium Is getting better cosmetics every drop, while the Gold Shops only get some swords. And the way the Story Progresses Is very sad to See. Could the reapers Just Walk in and Grab it? Adventures weren't great because they were time Limited, but they were extremely good for bringing The Story foreward
I don't mind Rare adding curses to the Emporium. But it needs to be done differently than this. The entire Storm Fish Chaser set should never have been paid items to begin with, including the curse. They should have been earned through catching Storm Fish, who'd have thought? But if they went back and took the unique aspects of the old costumes, like the curselike aspects of them and made them available as curses instead of just costumes, I wouldn't even be mad. I've always thought that costumes are stupid anyway and that all of those should have been curses anyway.
Like why cant I be a Lodestar pirate with my own clothes? Or the ice boy. Or the amber one with the rock limbs. Or the plant ones? Makes no sense.
I only bought the original warsimth but in the costume section of the clothen box I have both beard and beardless so if yku bout it check before you buy the beardless yku might already have it it just won't show that you do in the shop
We know what the skeleton camps are for, they said in the 2024 trailer, you go and get the red orbs and return them to probably the order of souls or reapers
Paid curses are fine, makes those earned more valuable and cool. Also lets the more casual players get something cool without spending 40 hours on a grind.
Well I lost a good amount of grinding...
1 day, I finished War Chest...that was a massive nerf.
nooooo not the sail. damnj it! the fact that you didnt have to manage your sail on sloop the entire time when against the wind in solo slooping was its best advantage. i dont care if its faster or slower then a brig. has zero effect on the outcome-you have to fight it sooner or later anyway. they just did a massive handicap to us solo sloopers. like we didnt have enough dissadvantages as it was
Honestly this is the first time i seriously considering not returning to the game. After weeks of looking for the horn , that they removed with no notice, im pretty done.
I like the curse probably gonna use it the most but it wouldn’t have been hard to make it a commendation for getting struck by lightning so many times like they getting kinda greedy (btw I have all the curse except the gold ghost and Skelly)
Stormfish Chaser set was 2 seasons ago??
Anyone notice the map was expanded ?
I have done the Commendations, so i know the changes.
- Kills with the Double Barrel & Knife are 150 instead of 1000.
- Shark & Gunpowder kills is 35 instead of 250.
- ScatterShots is 100 on each ship instead 1000 / on Megs its 35 instead of 500.
- Bonecallers on skeleton ships is 100 instead of 250.
- Wind Horns sold is 100 instead of 250.
- Carried Loot using the harpoon is 100 instead of 500.
Hope this helps, here's hoping season 13 will bring the game back up.❤️🔥
Thanks for this information!
I'm only missing the HoFWs (got all the others before the changes). Where are you finding them all? I feel like I have grinded getting them forever and only have 5 to show for it haha.

Recolors of emporium items peak laziness you're not even getting full creativity for your money anymore
Rare needs to pull themselves together. It was enough that we constantly get like 2 or 3 cosmetics for the gold shop and 10 for the pirate emporium every update, but adding a curse to it? That's too far. Stone curse was borderline ok because you still need season xp for it and it's limited time (for now), but making a curse only in the Emporium?
Lmao its 5-10 dollars lil bro. Stop crying
100 HoFW for the Storm Sale commendation is still ludicrous. It should be similar to Breaths of the Sea (30 for the commendation) or even 50. It is the last one I need and I only have 5...
100 would be alright if there was one guaranteed at every Shrine or Treasury.
Curses are a status symbol to be earned. It should tell a story of the amount of work you put in to get it. The stone curse is paid for but you still at least have to earn it by grinding renown. The storm strike curse you don’t even have to work for. It really just pisses me off cause now I need to buy paid curses to fulfill my journey and goal to achieve every curse in the game. Now it takes away all the fun.
Just grind for the free curses then? 😂
@@crunchberries6328 I didn’t say I wanted the free curses. I said all the curses.
Im was pissed after they announced the easier war chest numbers…Like Im happy its easier! But im pissed they announced it AFTER I Killed 1000 skeletons with knifes, shot a ship with 1000 scattershots, and had half way completed 250 sharks killed with double barrel flintlock 😭
lmao, feels bad fr, lucky I didn't grind those out yet
I feel a missed opportunnity for a tall tale, maybe even the first tall tale where we aren't forced to support the pirate lord(matching the theme be a villain), imagine we had a tall tale where we sneaked into athena's hideout and stole the burning blade, it could've been so awesome and hype a lot the upcoming season, missed opportunity
ds background music lit
Rip not being able to follow running sloops on brig :/
What i hate about the way they doing seasons rn is that the last 2 or 3 seasons have mainly been quality of life improvements rather than actuly new contnet. sure we got the new weapons this season but i still ended up just doing forts to level up my battle pass and as nice as guilds was before again it added nothing actuly new other than another thing to grind.
i really hate as well how all the content for the entire season is more or less out on the first day like we get nothing not even the adventures anymore for the gap between finishing the plunder pass and the next season. im against drip feeds in games like this but we need something more than just 1 big content drop every 3 months and then nothing till the next one.
Bro is talking about Sea of Thieves with Minecraft music in the background😂
Pretty damn sure they have made the brig sink a lot slower to
Is it just me or did the sloop become slightly faster? (maybe all ship speeds in general?)
The Sloop is faster. You can see it zooming in the video!
the minecraft background music!
Is the monkey island tall tale fixed yet?
About a few hours ago I did all tall tales of monkey island for the first time, and in the last we fight with that fat skelly captain to get that powerful sword, and now it's nothing? It's just lazy story writing😢 but hope to see something nice in this.
Really hope that they change either how you EARN ancient emporium coins, or they make it so every new curse isnt payed for. No one wants payed for curses and I hope we can branch together enough to get that into Rares head.
Lol if u broke just say that
I'm 100% running a gunslinger pirate with flintlock and double barrel
The Minecraft music tho😂
Btw that isnt true, i didnt have to buy the other skeleton skin. It says you do but its in your customize character costumes 👍
1:54 what this emote called?
They must be SO down bad for money. Gold shops have been so ass for literally years. Every now and then you get ONE not bad cosmetic that is also actually connected to a grind, though most of those are just recolors as well... and again, most of these aren't new and have been in the gamefiles for years. db pistol is still really really bad and normal pistol is just infinitely better lmao. there isn't really anything to do for old players anymore, i literally only play hg camp because making naval players mad while driving them out/sinking them with fire is funny as shit + i hop on tdms from time to time. I REALLY hope they're saving some good shit for season 13. I feel like there's some mad potential for cosmetics and the flameheart ship COULD lead to some cool server fights, though the hype would die down quickly. I just hope they do something for hourglass, 2v2 or ffa would be sick as hell and could give guilds more use (i'd imagine you could fight a ffa with people in your guild or queue up against other guilds with another allied ship from your own guild). This game has just been treating older, way more experienced players like shit and it feels like rare really only cares about money nowadays.
Even though it's just cosmetics, Rare's prices always been real scummy. But somehow ppl buy it and Rare gets away with it unfortunately.
Rage all we want about curses in the shop, people buy them and so more are going to be put up.
the storm curse isnt so bad. I just bought it not that long ago. Doesnt look bad. I wish it was more visible cause it only makes a different when its around sunset. Otherwise you can barely tell you have it on
me personally I'm still excited for the story, i get the whole burning blade/tasha situation is a very lazy way to tie up loose ends before flamehearts return, but I think its better than tasha's curse just sitting there the same until 2025. Not happy about it, but i am excited for flameheart, and for whatever happens with the dark brethren AFTER flameheart is out of the spotlight.
curses in the emporium is FOUL though 💀
@@TOAB-ik8fu that follow up comment made me lol
i got this seasons plunder pass free with the pre order on ps5
Bro Rare has to stop with the shitty pirate emporium updates
Is that the Majula song in the background?
Pretty sure the background song is from Minecraft…
Yes. Majula OST is in this vid.
@@aero42 nope, not even close
Majula and Sweden are both in here
@@pancakes7337 alright mate no need to be so snarky, especially when there is minecraft music in the video?
It's sad to see Rare putting far more effort into Emporium Cosmetics than the actual storyline anymore.
While I do feel it was sweet to have Tasha's curse finally being broken, the fact that the blade gets so easily stolen feels like such a slap to the face when I think we could all see it from miles away with it just.. y'know, being there.
I just.. don't get the direction the game is going anymore, SoT is a fantastic game and I do still get some fun from playing it, however the effort put in by Rare has been slowly fading overtime and it downright sucks to see.
I know this is likely more Microsoft's fault with Rare taking the brunt of the criticism as you said, but it just sucks that they aren't at least trying to maintain a proper balance between keeping the game fun and engaging while trying to pit pocket our wallets for pixels, especially when both work in tandem with one another.
If Rare put more towards keeping people engaged in the game, then in turn the players are more likely to spend money on the game, but unfortunately Microsoft doesn't understand this, yet they wonder why their IP's aren't making them more money.
