Shrouded Deep has to be my favourite. Just the experience of collecting the entire server to defeat a beast on it's own is amazing. Not just that, though. The fact that the Shrouded Ghost battle had 2 hidden phases that weren't even teased, let alone be on the trailer (they put everything in trailers nowadays). Merrick yelling "Flameheart's onto us!" caught me off guard.
The battle was actually challenging for a change too. So much so that everyone cheered when Pendragon spawned next to us, yelling at other ships with speaking trumpets that "backups have arrived".
It managed to do what Hungering Deep did right. The battle is just an excuse to bring players together and create memories.
As someone who got the play the dark deception and nothing else. I feel all these should be brought back (except maybe the retconned ones and the community choises)

Shrouded deep was a blast, from summoning megs for that hunters call rep, to the continuation of what the hungering deep was, wish we could have something like this again. As for griefing, out of the 30 times I did this event, there was only 1 cause of grief, in the form of being sunk by a player after we stacked 4 megs of loot.
Lost sands, as well as the one for the forts where you had to capture them, were both great to get the game to be alive again with much engagement from the community.

used to love logging on every 2 weeks and having a new adventure to play, in which i could get some cool new cosmetics like stichter jims' outfit
Even though Adventures are dead, I still hope we continue to get Community Choice events. Those really got the community going, and pushed the story along too (and we can't have Return of the Damned being the last Choice Event given how rough the story was executed)

As a predominantly solo player, my #1 is Shrouded Deep. Did it several times over, and each time had a new adventure. The most memorable being when we had four sloop crews together, but needed an extra person so a pair of us sailed off and abducted another person from across the other side of the map. At the end of that session, I may have silently absconded with the Athena too.
I’m not gonna lie I’m a sucker for the stitcher Jim one. It felt more connected to the games original story more so than a lot of the adventures, and gave me a reason to go back to that entire section of the map. Plus, the customer model for the boss and the bossfight having more minions than normal ashen lords AND with the volcano going off felt like a genuine boss battle and returned the wonder I had for this game back when I first started playing.
as someone who joined late into the sea of thieves loop, (joined christmas of 2022), i sadly missedo ut on alot of these adventures, it pains me especialyl with the shrouded ghost one, cause it seemed absolutely amazing to be a part of. so while adventures go to rest in piece, lets hope some of the older and better adventures get turned into tall tales or special voyages.
The hunters cry made pve players cry
When safer seas released, i was pissed at it, but after seeing the type of people that griefed over this adventure and the imbeciles that attack you during your tall tale because "PiRaTe GaMe" (despite you not having anything to gain, wich you know, is the point of pirates), i am starting to think it might not be so bad
It blows my mind that my memories of first jumping into this game... The laughing... The amazement, the discovery... Just laying my eyes on this beautiful game
Was SIX YEARS AGO. My gosh. Time really does go by way too quickly. Enjoy it while it's here people. Let's stop the complaints about EVERY LITTLE BUG in the game. I promise you, once this game is gone, all you'll have is your memories of the funnest pirate game ever made.

I really liked the lost sands event because, even though the community felt fundamentally divided, I think it was the most connected I’ve ever seen it
Ok, this might be a hot take:
We now have the "safer seas" mode. Rare could remake those Adventures into talltale like events that you can play on the safer seas. Just without the original rewards (maybe new ones?)
As a new player, who never got to experience adventures, I'd be more then glad to be able to get to know the lore of the game organicly
Consider that I missed out on the Hungering Deep Event, I loved the Shrouded Deep. There was so much going on and it being a massive battle and being able to team up with another crew or two it was a blast and let's be honest, it had one of the best music scores in the SoT.
Lost Sands was the best community event and brought everyone together to decide the fate of Golden Sands. It was fun to see how everyone was coming up with ideas to increase the score. Being with team Merrick, there were a lot of rum stacks I did with so many people from all over the world.

Ranking the tall tales would be cool, especially since we now know there’s probably not a new one for a while
The only adventure I was able to participate in was the last one, with Le Chunk, as I only started playing in June 2023. It's a shame we won't get any adventures back as tall tales or else.
Having a vague idea about adventures from YT videos, I'd really like to see some of them return in a replayable form. At the very least the Herald of the Flame and the Shrouded Ghost. The Herald of the Flame becasue it's de facto a sequel to two existing tall tales and the story I was able to play feels like it lacks a proper ending without it (plus we all love trilogies). And the Shrouded Ghost feels like a really epic battle with the ships joining and my very favoutite piece of soundtrack in the game (which I never was able to actually hear in-game 😅). And before anyone asks, yes, I know that this Shrouded Ghost doesn't give the commendation :P
Man I really wish for another lost sands event. More stuff like that would be insane rp wise
Hunter's cry was the best one. It was almost like arena. Lots of people fighting it out at the same time. I wish adventures were just PVP events the whole time, would've been the best thing ever, maybe even ecliplsing arena. The worst one... kinda hard actually. I had some amount of fun doing all of them just because adventures meant that I knew 100% where to find other people to fight at all times. I think the worst one was the one with the siren shrines, it's not very fun if the other shio doesn't resist because the crew is underwater.
2.20 that's me! That adventure was awful, I had a bunch of tdm'ers all over my ship, realised hey that's AshinyRay, oh wait not anymore. 😢
I joined the game right as Lost sands started, the servants lantern is still my favorite lantern. Still upset swabie me didnt do both sides for the sails though
Whilst I am happy that adventures have ended, I still hope that Rare creates events such as The battle for golden sands in the future, these community choices were some of the best engagement in the past.
I know a lot of people didn't like them but god am I going to miss adventures. They allowed storylines outside of Flameheart to develop and even for the Flameheart plotline to develop. The sirens prize and shrouded deep will always hold a huge place in my heart. It was also amazing to consistently have story content even if it isn't all too deep. I played and 100% every single adventure and I really hope they get a replacement in the future. Overall to see more sidelined characters develop alongside our main characters, to have choices in how the story plays out, and to have these adventures tease future updates led to something truly amazing.
R.I.P. Adventures, you will always be missed.
I'd love to know how you rate them as a set since they came and sets of three and the finale's were always going to be more exciting and adventurous than the first two
two complaints i have about the lasting effects of lost sands. A, and this is shared with a lot of people, bring the soulflame rowboats back into the main world. it would fit right in with season 12 adding more tools to the sandbox (check out the sea of thieves 2024 preview event if yall havent yet) and that was easily the best part of the adventure. B, they really need to change all the outposts to ports, because now golden sands is just out of place. a very nice place to go and visit, but is now almost as bad as daggertooth in terms of turning in loot, especially to athenas fortune. maybe wind this into the story as "we saw what happened to golden sands, and we should fortify the other outposts as well." maybe its been a bit too long to fit that in smoothly, but id like to see it happen. also add more life to the ports/outposts, have random, wandering npcs that dont actually do anything other than just exist, so it doesnt feel more abandoned than safer seas
Might be cool if they had community events ro determine what the outposts could become as well and I'm not just talking Reapers vs Athena we could have something like Gold Hoarders vs Order Of Souls and the winner of the event could becomed themed around the winner and essentially become the headquarters of the faction (while still keeping all the others there of course.) Doesn't have to be restricted to factions either could be between some NPCs or just a certain situation arises on the outpost and there are 2 different things that could be done to resolve it and the winner ends up determining what the outpost becomes like.

Okay, so I've played for about 2 years on Xbox from day one, then I jumped to Playstation and missed all those years. So as this game is now coming to Playstation, and i can start over what is the story then in 2024? Like i remember the tales where Wanda goes missing and that lovers rose quest, so is all that gone? Where does the game start now in 2024?

Even without griefing Hunters Cry sucked cause other players would open the path before you got a chance to so you didn’t get to do anything.
I still wish they released actual numbers for Return of the Damned, I just wanna know how badly my side lost

Lore made no sense.
Seriously hate this one. Pendragon literally sacrificed himself for the reasons of creating a choice. This is canon and makes no sense. It’s not like he was trying to stop fh but for trapped in the sord. No thought was put into this. F adventure

All in all, I’m glad adventures are gone. I think they ruined the story and none of the plot threads went anywhere besides golden sands. I want to get back to the peak story in 2019-2020, plus the sunken kingdom. That was awesome.
It does sadden me that the focus for the story isn’t there in 2024 though. Maybe they can just write some novels finally and actually establish a story?

The reaper's bones are still the bad guys and have always been a choice opposite of the pirate Lord
Honestly hunters cry. I completed that event some 40 times and I only ran into two people trying to be trolls and I personally engage them the entire time so everybody else could complete the adventure!
I feel like there was far more complaints of spawn camping and trolling. Then there was actual spawn camping and trolling and a lot of people didn't bother to do it because they were to scared of the possibility of being spawn camped and never actually tried

adventures were a seasonal thing after a couple of months they go away and never return gameplay wise they were something like tall-tales with a twist
