Evs are not for all. These are not economically helpful for middle class. These vehicles are costly and made for wealthy people who care about the environment and want to put their contribution towards. They were never made keeping savings in minds they were made to be environmentally friendlier.
Those things which are successful in the western countries may not always be successful in our country. Technological advancement in western countries are for human comfort and for handling technological challenges ahead. Pollution from conventional vehicles are nullified by the use of EVs, which requires continuous supply of electrical power from charging station. These are very well handled in European region and the US. Government in such countries show keen concern towards challenges associated with this. Whereas in our huge country, our government may not be able to take up challenges of creating a large number of charging stations throughout India. Also timely maintenance of these charging stations is required which is also difficult to achieve. Also, many competitive Indian manufacturers are in the process of making huge money by manufacturing EVs, but they are less concerned about the quality and reliability of EVs. Only time tested results will prove the possibility of success of EVs(Electric Vehicles). Maintenance / replacement of few spare parts of conventional vehicles are less costly than complete replacement of battery of EVs, which , for sure , is a point of money making business, with no option left for a customer to buy a new battery.

Partially disagree. Technological disruption starts with challenges and while I do agree that there is cost, there are benefits provided as well to shift the customers to the EV segment. From an environment sustainability standpoint, shifting to EV vehicles is the future and big automotive giants will eventually shift to reduced cost once demand and acceptability increases. Take a simple example. 4 decades back, airlines used to be a dream for people given the affordability and now there is neck to neck demand when compared with railways because the airlines have made it cost optimised. Mobile phones and their telecom packages is another example. Also, how many Royal Enfield’s or Mercedes/BMW car purchase increases have you seen over the decade? Things are changing for the good and we should accept this if we need to declare ourselves as a “developed” country in the near future

Partially disagree. Technological disruption starts with challenges and while I do agree that there is cost, there are benefits provided as well to shift the customers to the EV segment. From an environment sustainability standpoint, shifting to EV vehicles is the future and big automotive giants will eventually shift to reduced cost once demand and acceptability increases.
Take a simple example. 4 decades back, airlines used to be a dream for people given the affordability and now there is neck to neck demand when compared with railways because the airlines have made it cost optimised. Mobile phones and their telecom packages is another example. Also, how many Royal Enfield’s or Mercedes/BMW car purchase increases have you seen over the decade? Things are changing for the good and we should accept this if we need to declare ourselves as a “developed” country in the near future

For the people who think ki battery 2-3 yrs me change karni padegi , battery life depends on charging cycle , log mushkil se 1 mahine me 500km drive karte hai agar continuous traveling nahi kar rahe hai aur aaj kal ke ev cars ke average 2000 charging cycle ke capacity hoti hai it means ki 2000 baar charge Kar sakte hai battery ke degrade hone se phele , iska matlab phele 2000 baar charge karne ke baad 70% ki capacity fir 60 , 50 and so on , toh 300km × 2,000 = 6,00,000km iska matlab ek electric car ke 6,00,000km chalne ke baar uski battery degrade hogi dheree dhree
