    This is a wicked tent, well worth the price.. I have had this tent installed on my Land Rover for a while now and it performs perfectly. Its comfortable and very easy to set up and break down. It's great in High Winds and we have solar panels installed. drilling holes to route the cables was worrying but I just got on with it. One important thing to consider is this thing doesn't rattle or squeak on the trails. Fits easy too.

    Had a look at this at the Adelaide adventure show , I hadn't seen this brand before.... quality on first appearance looked fantastic , I really was impressed with the way it has been presented quality was impeccable , well done to the manufacturers ! I think this tent would be a good all rounder not over-the-top ...easy set up and pack away its definitely on my bucket list but you are going to have to get a South Australian agent ...

    Ill support this if ladder can go inside like some other brands and fans and led lights are included. I understand Aussie brands are extra $$ BUT. I was excited about this but disappointed at price for basic features. I hope this is constructive criticism as when they get it right itll be well worth it for an Australian made product. Buy once never cry again. Please refine this and keep our money here as we have the best skills to do build anything.

    I am all for supporting aussie made and aussie companies, and am in the market for one of these. But at almost 6k for this (according to their website I looked at just now), I can not justify the purchase. You have got to get the price down, and increase the warranty.

    • @sloth_e
      @sloth_e 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Holy shit! Really? Ill get a canopy made up for that price. Id rather buy an absolute top of the line tent, a top of the line awening and have enough change for a 2 week holiday than one of these. It would need built in fans and hydraulic struts to self set up at that price.
      I was in the market for an RTT and im not short on cash right now (just bought a new wild track and have roughly 30k left to spend on mods amd accessories) but just can't justify any more than roughly 2k for a tent. Rooftop or otherwise, they just dont have the features id expect for such a price. Its halfway to a basic full off road trailer with tent and slide out draws etc. Crazy!

    Looks good but I would have liked to see how that front door & screen zips up as well... One concern that I would have is how it folds up in wet weather as u don't want to be folding the wet canvas onto your bedding... You also didn't mention how much room is inside when folded up... can u leave all your bedding/pillows inside? The poles are an interesting idea but what about wind coming from the side? will the wind move the poles side to side?

    • @ivanbiscan1587
      @ivanbiscan1587 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Rob Mac hey rob thanks for viewing ..the back window opens down and the wet canvas would sit on that ...all the bedding can stay in there is sufficient room for all that ....lastly with the poles, you can cross them over instead of the way I showed which is by far the best on the market option for awning.

    • @davids9450

    • @PeakOffroadEquipment
      @PeakOffroadEquipment  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Instead of each pole going straight out, to attach to the vertical pole on its own side, each of the horizontal poles attaches to the vertical pole on the opposite side, like a horizontal X. This cross-bracing makes it very strong indeed.

    • @T-Ranch-Au
      @T-Ranch-Au 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      first thing I thought about - you’re on a ladder to setup and pack down, but where is the rear ladder attachment supposed to go? The angle of working on a ladder is different to this waist high setup, and you won’t be able to take steps rear wards as he does in this video.. it’s of concern..

    • @marceld6061
      @marceld6061 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sarahwilson5659 My point is this: a premium product will incorporate ALL aspects of its use. If there is no thought put into how someone is supposed to get in and out of the tent by incorporating a ladder or at least how to store one- they are ignoring a large part of the market. My vehicle already has enough things inside to worry about stuffing a ladder too. So many other companies have developed a solution other than "stuff it".

    Weight? Checked the website and the price is eye watering. And for that price you get no power and no Velcro pockets. The awning needs to go round the sides too. With a 270 vehicle awning I get no use from the rear facing tent awning. It is about $1000 dearer than both of the South African offerings. And they have power.........

    • @PeakOffroadEquipment
      @PeakOffroadEquipment  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Incorrect. The tent, when closed, is completely dust & water proof. Therefore when you open it at the end of the day, the canvas is dry & clean. If it’s raining & you pack the tent away wet, just zip up the inside doors before you close it & your bedding will remain dry & clean. 😊👍
