Great video! I wish I had access to all this info back when I was looking for a rooftop tent. It would have made all the difference in the world. Great job Ivan! 😀👍

Finally! Some good Alu Cab content! Great video! Keep em coming! This would’ve been so helpful when I was looking for tents. Picked up a Gen 3 Alu Cab, mounted to a Front Runner on my 4Runner. Incredible tent.

Hi, thank you very much for the informative video. I am very interested in the Expedition 3, because I am looking for a roof tent on which I can transport my canoe. If I may, I would like to ask a question to the expert: is it possible to mount the Expedition 3 on a VW Amarok, not on the hardtop but on the double cabin? On a Frontrunner Slimline carrier system? My hardtop does not have the necessary roof load and actually it should be possible on the cabin, right? The overhang would be a bit bigger, but the Expedition 3 should be able to do that easily, or not? You could support the roof tent with 2 packer blocks, so that the load with people does not get too high on the first crossbars while sleeping. I would be very happy about an opinion and send my best regards from Germany. Azze

What about mounting on round crossbars? 1”(25mm) diameter?

I just spent 4 days camping in the snow in one of these (around -5). I left one window open about 2 - 3 inches and had no condensation issues as a result. The only source of frustration for the entire trip was the gap between the awning and the tent, for which they apparently sell a "gutter kit". If I can find one I'll be purchasing it, as I had a constant stream of snow through the gap, directly into the back of the car..

Very informative video! I'm also now very curious about that air cleaner -- I've never seen one like that before. Can you tell me more about it? Cheers

Watch the patrol video ....but the 6.5 Chev motor didn’t leave enough room for that size air clean , put a secondary under the bonnet but if you work the maths out it needs to be another 30% bigger....Ivan 👍

@@MichellinavanLoder It was for the motor. From the Patrol video, it appears the larger engine swap took up so much space, there was not enough room to put it under the bonnet/hood.
