New subscriber from the UK, I am a retired truck driver of 45 years on the road and let's say we had tight situation like this with little room. Admittedly the longest trailers we had for deliveries other than to DC (which could be 50 feet long) were 45 feet in length. So a place like the one you are delivering to with restricted room a European truck would be ideal, no big bonnet up front means more manoeuvrability, and they can come with a nice big 700bhp engine, downside smaller sleeper.
Just found your channel Crazy i worked out of that yard at the start of the video on pennant street Good old toll/ tge Now working with a smaller trucking company, going to the same places up the road from it lol 😂
That was good. A bit of swearing at the start to put us all at ease. The tips you give, like the comment about that car near the driveway, are good for those of us who don't drive trucks. We know bugger all about what you guys do. It's good to be educated even a little bit.
@@HoolyDooly-si2zz You should see me trying to back the home made hay trailer I found in the bush and resurrected. I would have taken out a lot more than a few downpipes if I tried backing a big trailer into Shane's nightmare place, and I'm not talking about a semi.
I know that yard, used to deliver steel mesh to the fencing mob at the end of the cul de sac. I always got there early before all those cars turned up, otherwise it was a right carnt to get in at times.
Ha mate. Love your videos know precisely where you are the missus grew up & lived in Newy & parents still live in Newy ( Edgeworth) shop in Glendale other family in Warner's, Cardiff & Wyong. Ur company should refuse deliveries until they clear that shit from the driveway. Maybe a call to Worksafe will put a fire under their arses. Hard on driver and machine for no reason.
Hey Shane, new subscriber here. I used to marvel at my uncle driving huge fuel tankers around Sydney delivering to garages. Just wondering if you are allowed to film your loading and unloading and giving us viewers an idea of your daily run. Great to see you uploading much more regular video's now. Cheers
YESSS!!! “Story time with Uncle Shane”… What a great way to distract me from what has been a shit day at my work. Shane… Second time’s the charm??? I think it could also be a case of “practice makes perfect” mate 👍😄. I hope you had a few well-earned beers at the end of the day 🍻🍻🍻
Cut my teeth thirty years ago driving triples over in wa ,all three end tippers and believe me the first time was absolutely disgraceful but in the end I got the hang of it just like u have
Hi Shane just subbed a couple of day's ago, I love truck's mate been in a few hitch hiking back in the day, never driven one, I'm going to be in my element going for the ride with you on TH-cam 👍🇦🇺
Shaney, question...why use an american style long nose instead of a euro style cab-over? im sure power outputs can be made similar, and i think the euro trucks come with stuff like disc brakes all around
Great stuff mate! Maybe a little more gentle encouragement to the yardie to move that shit out of the way....also i agree on Baldys comment, kill that indicator beeper.....
great video mate, reversing was so much easier for you, wondered why they keep stock on the far side of the yard where it's in the way for you , and many others, until you showed the forklift damage to the shed. all you showed looks like it was caused stacking or removing stock.
Great work mate but either disconnect or cover your blinker alarm there is also a turn mechanism on them to quiet it down I just disconnect mine it drives me insane n people always complain whilst on ph now I understand why they do because it's sooo bloody loud through the videos
Hey Shane, can you educate me here please. When a truckie gives you the blinker for you to pass, what blinker do I have to use to say thank you? Great job on the reversing there. It's much better than last time.
once you're passed (most cars can gauge this) but trucks will generally flash their lights to let you know when safe to return, simply give a quick flick of your indicators left-right-left-right, always happy to help out if it's something I know, stay safe out there leah 👍
I know that place I drive car carriers only for car carriers I can’t understand why they can’t unload you from the outside of the place like it be much easier to reverse into that place and unload you from outside then back into that shed it would be quicker for them and quicker for you they wouldn’t have to shift all that crap just keep it there someone might grow a brain I know that area too because I come from Newcastle to deliver around Cardiff A fair bit it’s just interesting seeing places that you normally go near

Great job Shane.
It’s always difficult backing from the outside into a dark shed. Like you said “can’t see a thing “ .
All the best mate

dam dude bloody good job backing that beast in.and also bloody good vid's
You done great mate 👍
AWESOME WORK
Always amazed at how you guys back those monsters 😊
This is only a single trailer, you'd never back a double in there but backing them is even better
Great job Shane
Thanks mate
Aced it. Well done Shane.

Those lil cab over day jobs piss them reverses in, their turning circle is better than my 4WD

ya boss needs a kick up the arse for sending his trucks to shit yards like that! i'm sure not many drivers would be doing that to the truck
I can remember having to reverse a 40X10 ATCO hut into a door about that width but had a lot more room on the left .
Well done! Still sh&t everywhere though. No wonder people keep running into things.
Better but not great
