It really is. I watched his stream today for like 5 hours straight and chat made me laugh the entire time. You literally never see real arguments in chat and I honestly credit Doug's personality for encouraging great behavior and comradery
It also helps a lot that Doug is very assertive and knows exactly when to shut stuff down if chat gets unruly, and on top of that, does so so gracefully that it doesn't feel authoritarian at all

Fun thing, there was a case in the NBA where a player was technically traded mid-game to the opposing team. The "technically" here was that at some point they lost power (I think; the game had to be stopped in the middle, I know that much) and had to play the last however-much was left later, the game got scheduled like 2 months later, and in the interim there was a trade to that team.

I thought the run would be rejected on a technicality, since a) half the shots are not input with the usual UI and b) Doug had some help. But glad I was wrong and we can make Hat dad and Squid Mommy proud with the Top 30.
Probably because it was still with the mouse pointer, just it was a different software (the python script allowing individual inputs from chat) running it (and those inputs could be double-checked against as well).
One of Doug's runs had the game cropped and taking half the screen while the other half had a game of Mario party twitch chat was playing simultaneously by themselves. This run was accepted as well. Peggle mods are much more lenient than some other games out there and it's great.

Fun thing, there was a case in the NBA where a player was technically traded mid-game to the opposing team.
The "technically" here was that at some point they lost power (I think; the game had to be stopped in the middle, I know that much) and had to play the last however-much was left later, the game got scheduled like 2 months later, and in the interim there was a trade to that team.
imagine if they announced it mid-game and the player just goes "fuck it" and takes off his uniform and changes to the opponent's and now it's a 6 V 4

What isn't seen in this video is one level that was causing particular difficulty, for which Doug eventually left to pee, and twitch chat essentially won by itself (Doug came back for the final shot and took over)

I thought the run would be rejected on a technicality, since a) half the shots are not input with the usual UI and b) Doug had some help.
But glad I was wrong and we can make Hat dad and Squid Mommy proud with the Top 30.
Probably because it was still with the mouse pointer, just it was a different software (the python script allowing individual inputs from chat) running it (and those inputs could be double-checked against as well).
One of Doug's runs had the game cropped and taking half the screen while the other half had a game of Mario party twitch chat was playing simultaneously by themselves.
This run was accepted as well. Peggle mods are much more lenient than some other games out there and it's great.
