Leona, I am a lesbian and I can assure you I would rather see a woman get plowed by a man or some creature with tentacles because the "lesbian" porn that is made is just NOT lesbian porn. Unrelated: Take a look at the models you think are sexy. Is the character making eye contact with the viewer? Are they smiling? Could you tell from the way this character is posed how the character might feel about something not related to this single moment?
If the answers are Yes, Yes, and Not a Lot, it might not be attractive to people who are not straight dudes. Gotta be all three of those tho.

@@leonasworkshop That’s a great way to break it down, and it makes sense, especially when it comes to whether the character makes eye contact. I remember one nsfw artist who insisted the subject/ figure be unaware or uninterested in the viewer, in a sense being unattainable. Those pictures have a totally different vibe, and feels like they might appeal more generally than the more “direct” pieces.

I didn’t disagree, but there was also no way I would have thought he was female from his art. He would draw the way clothes cut in a bit to make the chest bulge slightly and the breasts would float in a way they wouldn’t outside zero-G. Mostly I think male drawn female figures tend to be almost over the top. It tends to give me the feeling of being offered food when I’m already beyond full. There tends to be more flesh, and the women in depictions with plot never have desires that would in anyway conflict with the male protagonist (or if they say no it is glossed over). I think female figures created by women tend to be more subtle-and I’m not trying to throw shade with that.

I am a freelance digital artist and a female. I've been doing this for 10+ years both sfw and nsfw art. With my qualifications out of the way...
When I get a commission request and I look at the character references...I can instantly tell if the commissioner is male or female just by their reference pictures. I have yet to have a female client ask me for the extreme proportions or the more exaggerated sex acts as commissions for their characters that men do. I've also not had female clients send me 'reference' pictures of their genitals for commissions after specifically saying not to.
And you are completely right Leona, women are thirsty and have money to spend. The majority of my clients these days are women who come to me to get tasteful, sexy art.

I’m also an avid enjoyer of browsing (and sometimes wearing) the more “risqué” types of fashion, and as a woman my stance is that they can be empowering if you want them to be and feel comfortable in it. I have been doing 3d modelling on and off since about 2001. Most of women who model NSFW ladies (I find referring to women as "females" dehumanising) do it because they make bank out of it from horny guys. It is literally financial reasons that women make sexualised women figures for men so they have money to pay for high end software like zbrush or maya. So they can then go make what they want to make.
Now that there are open source 3d modelling software out there like blender more people can access 3d modelling and you don't need a degree in anything to do 3d modelling. I'm currently trying to learn how to use blender 4 via youtube videos and when I am at a point where I feel confident charging people for figures you bet your arse imma do thirstrap figures for the ladies!

To Leona: Since you wanted females to put their hands up if they like NSFW female figures and are even into tentacles, here I am. I'm 100% straight and graduated in 2008 (not that it matters LOL), and yes, I agree that it's more about aesthetics for fellow (straight) females when it comes to NSFW, but in the end, everyone has different tastes, desires and fantasies, no matter the gender. So, to get back to the point, I would never hook up with another woman IRL, but some visually pleasing waifus (intended for a male audience) are still nice to look at, at least for me.

LOL! I just finished 3D printing and painting a naked Hulk figure that is going to be a (female) friend's Christmas present. My friend is into erotic fan fiction, especially male/male pairings of Marvel characters. Interestingly, this particular figure is the only NSFW superhero one I've been able to find. NSFW superheroine figures are a dime a dozen. That said, I know many guys who have huge collections of NSFW female figures. Even the guys who are mainly into collecting car, aviation and military and ship models.

Okay, Full Sail never offered anything specifically related to 3D printing. Source: I asked my boyfriend, hes currently enrolled. He said there is like a smol hobby group that has been working on them with some teachers/professors that are interested in 3D printing, but that's about it.
Correction: there is a 3D certificate you can get from Full Sail; however this is something that was added a few years ago... waaaaay after 2007.
I went searching for male kits once and what I got was a lot of sexualized female kits with majority sfw male kits. I digged as much as I could for more. That told me a lot about this hobby that I didn't believe before. I can say all my female artists friends drew/modeled nsfw females. They never drew/modeled art that was masculine. They said because it was harder for them to draw males than females. It's almost always easier to draw the sex you are. I've drawn several nsfw females and never one time drew a nekkid man.
A male friend of mine always enjoyed drawing ladies. Now, because he's developed arthritis in his hands and drawing is very difficult, he uses DAZ Studio to make 3D art and even a webcomic, but he has to consult me when trying to make attractive males, because he just doesn't quite know what goes into making a guy hot. (Unless it's Jason Momoa or Henry Cavill. Curiously, all of my hetero male friends agree that Momoa and Cavill are hot, and don't feel the least bit weird or insecure about admitting it. :D)

I only know two female 3d modelers personally, and they both do almost exclusively NSFW female models, BUT, big BUT. It's not for them, they typically design to sell to male buyers in private commissions. My male modeling friends typically do anime figures of buff guys (more dragon ball types, no NSFW male figures though). Considering this is a group of less than 10 (counting me), it's not really much to go off of though.

I got super excited seeing you use the Morax in your thumbnail, I recommended it in comments of the Komi video and I'm not sure if you found it because of that or already knew about it. I fall in the LGBTQ category and I understand where you're coming from with excessive NSFW females in the 3d modeling realm. I follow quite a few NSFW modelers that do regular sculpts and alt NSFW sculpts of females and while I like a good portion of them, there are just as many where I prefer the standard or risque over straight NSFW. I'm in the same boat of wanting more male figures as well because 1. equality is nice 2. there's too many male characters that would make phenomenal NSFW and/or risque figures. I've actually noticed(could've been happening before I noticed, not sure) that there's been an increase in male statues that cater towards the female gaze and the internet losing their minds(in a good way) about them ex: NSFW Erin Jaeger, NSFW Zoro, etc. Hopefully this is indicative of a paradigm shift into seeing more sculptors cross into sculpting female gaze figures. Also if you know any 3d sculptors that do male figures please drop us some names and links!

As a female, it never bothered me having nsfw female figures, although would prefer the male 'eye-candy' any day. Hubby has been on a figure craze lately, but has made sure to buy a few of my favorite males to make for over abundance of smexy female characters around the house. Lol. The closest to nsfw out of the collection I have, is Trafalgar Law with abs exposed.
I do recall how big of a stir it caused for the limited Eren bathing statue and Sephiroth nsfw figures were announced last year. Can't imagine how hard it would be to find a decent garage kit.
Just going by Oscar's comments, I personally don't think he is of the anime community, nor does this person truly know the mind of female anime fans. If he is making 'toys' into shapes of figures- (which I have a vague memory of coming across an article about a guy creating 3d print models of giant custom 'toys', started off with dragons and progressed into I think comic book theme??) and they're for "wife's friends", he isn't making an Anime Core figure for pleasure but a Pleasure Core figure with anime/geek accessory/theme... Not the same field. And Not the same demograph.
Have been with anime forums, fanfics, fan artists at least since 2004, there's a lot of women in the community that would prefer male characters in nsfw mediums. Not to mention the amount of doujins and explicit fanart content would put the amount of videos on phub to shame.
Heck, when my professor for Sociology said something about how 'there's all these content areas for male gazes but not the same for women', I struggled whether or not to casually mention to her about the anime fandom existence. And don't get me started on the long list of BL medias cuz boy, saying there isn't a market for it, they live under a sheltered rock.

Bit of a thing to understand about statistics and personal bias. There’s a thing called sample size, which ideally is as large as possible because otherwise people like this guy get the idea that their sample size is equivalent to the population in its entirety. Then there’s things like range (highest and lowest value) and outliers (values that are an abnormal distance from other values) as well as scale of measurement (how are data point arranged and mathematical operations that can be performed on them). It’s important to understand what data represents and not to equate anything to either everything or nothing.
All of this is to say that one should be very careful with absolutes and over generalizations. Just because you personally have not seen a particular characteristic attribute often or ever does not necessarily mean it does not exist (unless it’s like laws of physics, there’s a difference between social and psychological stuff and hard sciences, so the earth is still round 😅). There’s literally fallacy for this called the Black Swan Fallacy because people believed swans could only be white until the sample size became large enough that they did find black ones.
As someone born male, i cannot fathom why someone would be upset by your desire and want for simply more diversity and representation in the hobby that clearly drives you and many others with so much passion ! Female NSFW artist here. Oscar demonstrated some alarmingly disturbing views that presented as a mix of insecurity, narrow-mindedness and projection. I sincerely doubt they've had an earnest conversation with a woman that wasn't already pre-scripted in their mind.
In my time working with clients seeking NSFW content, I've seen first-hand the differences in desires and -nothing- Oscar said aligns with my experiences in the industry. Sure, there are women who enjoy 'forced' situations or more extreme kinks, but it certainly isn't a standard interaction for me. Certainly not when we have the very real fear of sexual violence in our day to day lives; one in four women in the US. The women I've worked with prefer realistic/believable depictions of erotica/intimacy. What do I mean by 'realistic?' Well, it's rarer to have hyper-inflated anatomy and avoid extreme situations (tent/forced/gore/etc.) Most of my deliveries for women feature mundane, but plausible situations (often sensual/romantic) with their partners, roleplay partners, or their favorite character at the time.
Women NSFW creators are still very much in the minority and a main concern lies with our male counterparts/clients fostering unsafe/predatory male-dominated spaces that place anything female in the same free-game basket as the product they pitch; often driving out women-creators due to safety issues and sexual violence or harassment. A parallel example would be feeling free to violate or take aggressive advances towards a woman because she wore a certain piece of clothing that day. "If she didn't want it, she wouldn't have done it" mentality.
I hope they see this video and take the comments and discussions to heart. I hope they use it as a pivot point for personal growth and come out of this a healthier individual. Also, if my own comment is troublesome, please remove it. I'd like to contribute and offer another perspective to things as this is close to my day to day, but certainly don't want to damage any of the points being made. Thanks for the video.
