These recipes are so helpful to boost growth and save money. Thank you for sharing! Could you also make a video on what fertilizer you use for which plants and when throughout the gardening year?
Nice. I will try Alfalha. I use JADAM liquid fertilizer (JLF) methods and cut weeds 2/3 full in a 5 gallon bucket along with a handful of compost, fill with water, put a lid and let sit over winter. Dilute 50:1 to drench or 200:1 for foliar feed. Hydrolysate or Fish Amino Acid (FAA) is smelly and easy to do if you can source the fish.
I make something similar w/weeds and comfrey. I usually have 3 or 4 buckets with the green material going throughout the summer and during late fall and winter I add the sludgy material that is left in the buckets to my compost. I'm in Indiana and even when the temps are near zero F my compost temp always jumps up near 130 f everytime I add the sludge.
You always have such interesting and informative videos! Moving from an area with fertile, alluvial soil to basically trying to garden on a beach, you give me hope for someday having a decent garden again.🌱
Thank you for the extensive rooting tutorial. I am trying the cinnamon method for some basil cuttings. Any tips for an ailing new baby Rainbow's End hosta? 4 weeks ago I bought three and one is not doing so well. The other two are in the same pot with the exact same conditions and treatment and doing well.
When I 1st got my chickens laying, my granddaughter was totally grossed out about eating them. But after a while, she finally started eating them. Now, she refuses to eat any eggs from the store. She now says the "real" chicken eggs taste way better. I enjoyed having them. I strongly recommend having them.
Thanks for all the great tips. I also ferment my banana peels in a pitcher of water and after about 1 week I use the fermented water to feed my fruiting plants with. I also make my own liquid fertilizer using aloe leaves that I blend in water then strain into a 5 gallon bucket to fertilizer my plants with. I also make a compost tea to fertilizer my plants with.
I have a question about the chicken poop. You said 2 Tbls to 32 oz of water. Then you said 1 Tbls to 32 oz. Is that 1 Tbls of the already mixed to 32 oz water before use? I'm trying to clarify. I'm going to make this. Thank you for this video. My girlfriend and I are going to make a few of them. Also what is the shelf life of these fertilizers. I know you mentioned it with the fish. Didn't hear about the others. Thank you again
I watched your egg shell concentrate and have made it. My question is, can you combine egg shell concentrate with the other natural products like dried ground banana peels and bone mill? If so what would be a good ratio? 1 oz egg shell concentrate to 1 gallon water…could I add the other dry ingredients to this solution? How much? And…do you think coffee grounds are a good fertilizer or just a good composter? Thanks! New to natural fertilizers but an old hat to gardening 🤦🏻♀️😂
I like to use a mortuary and pestulance to grind my chicken bones but let me get off my pedestal. Jk. All in good fun because I really did learn some things. That alfalfa tip blew my mind. Triacantonal! Who knew?
Don't use to much of this on plants you are going to consume. Alfalfa contains a lot of PGRs (Plant Growth Regulators) that have been linked to cancer.
I'm here searching the comments to find out if alfalfa is sprayed. I'm hesitant to purchase any kind of hay b/c of inadvertently using some that has been sprayed and it stunting my plants/ruining my homemade soil. (Even though I asked and was told that the hay I got wasn't sprayed, judging by the issues I've had afterwards, I'm pretty sure it was.)
Buy a bag of alfalfa blocks. You can get a giant bag for 20 or 25 and they are chopped compressed 3x2” blocks. Very easy to use with little mess & they soak & break up in a liquid easily.
Thanks for the great home made fertilizer recipes!! Your bonzi in the backround are stunning too!

In my part of the world I use a mortar and pestle for Fine grinding.
Thanks for these great options! Just FYI, it's "mortar and pestle"
Mortar and pestle..but good information
Please provide a chart of the NPK content of the different fertilizers thank you

Possibly it’s great to experiment happy gardening
Epsom salt does not contain sodium.
I have a question about the human or animal hair. How much water and how much hair?
Can you use alfalfa pellets?
Yes absolutely
FYI, there is no sodium in Epsom salt. It should be pure magnesium sulfate; magnesium, sulfur and oxygen

@@angelaenoch630 I buy mine from Amish/Mennonites. They don't use harmful substances...it's all natural (provided by God as they told me)
Why just don`t put the banana peels right into a compost tea?!?
Can I use powdered milk in my garden?
I was just researching that last month. Might make a video if I can find lots of data. Cheers
Love this info, but why do you keep referring to a pestle as a pedestal? I can't be the only one hearing this, lol. Good information though.

My chesapeake dog sheds..I'll use his hair!
