I'm a private school teacher myself. since lockdown, our salaries have been halved. my school charges around 3.5k per month in fee. it's an actual reputed chain school campus, a project of one of the big fish of the industry. now I've been making barely over 10k since april. been teaching from home since mid april. don't know how long I can keep this going, and I'm one of the more higher paid teachers at my campus. Parents are struggling to pay, schools are also somewhat being mindful of their profit margins, lekin teachers are suffering. Our school administration is trying to push the government to facilitate

Pak education gets corrupted by some interest against the 1947 heritage grain of the Dar-Ul-Islam for example Mr. Javed Ghamidi" is hell-bent to propagate moral corruption against the teaching of the Quran, by hook or crook, will justify anything he wants with the help of academic [trickery] argument. For example, A committed Secular trickster called Chief Justice Manir of Pakistan in 1956 wittingly caused SHIRK & He engineered the Title Deed of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan instead of Dar-ul-Islam of Pakistan. Pakistan officially is called the Islamic Republic of Pakistan'' Subsequently, the shirk Justice Munir manufactured becomes clear only when you look at the definition closely, it means people & Allah share supreme legislative power over the state of Pakistan. Although the 1971 constitution of Pakistan contradicts power-sharing with God & refutes Republicanism, the damage Justice Munir deliberately caused has never been corrected since 1956 by any Pakistan Parliament. Therefore it is the wicked secular minority lobby, who have ruined the success of Dar-ul-Islam becoming a law bidding unitary community in Pakistan. Pakistan records show Justice Manir knew the Republic's definition. Therefore Muslims must stay alert of these Secular centric academic tricksters, they are extremely sharp, they are foot soldiers of Satan, they will never mend their ways. Unless Pakistan legislators change the official Title Deed of Pakistan, we all stand collectively guilty of committing a national Shirk-e-Khafi.
If you look closely at Ghamidi's silence against the practice of Usury, it amplifies his wrong priorities & motives behind his worldwide centers in the garb of Quranic teachings centers. Quran talks of gold & silver currency that holds its intrinsic values. Ghamidi failed to contribute any national effort to ban Usury. A once of gold today will buy the same level of goods or services as it did 100 years ago. On the other hand, the fiat paper currency is unstable and it's value continually decreases & the poor masses around the globe are in dire need of fairness & the capitalist are exploiting cheap labor & causing havoc on the masse disparity between Rich & Poor. he's dead silent on usury. He just wants to Hellenize naive Muslims to become under the secular sphere of influence so that secular minority can swell their numbers in Pakistan, Ghamidi has no right to manipulate naive Muslims who are the potential assets of becoming more pious servants of Lord Almighty God.
Mr. Javed Ghamidi bitterly slanders the gallantry of Ghazali for successfully alerting Muslims of Secularism religion onslaught toward 1.8 billion faithful orthodox believers since the 11th century.
After carefully listening to Mr. Ghamidi's misconstrue constructions on Islamic Banking, Male Beards & Female outer-garment. I can safely repeat that all of his corrupt suggestions are fallacious & full of academic prejudice. Mr. Ghamidi sinfully denies the divine law & asserts that the law is only for Prophets pbuh wives. He is attempting to water-down Quranic Law & misleads Muslims in favor of secular ideology which constitutionally rejects the Quran & negates the successful Rightly Guided Khulafa-e-Rashideen & devalues the truthful successors of God's Messenger pbuh.
59 O Prophet! Tell your wives, and your daughters, and the women of the believers, to drape their outer-garment over them. That is more proper, so they will be recognized and not harassed. God is Forgiving and Merciful.
Quran 33;59 O Prophet, speak unto thy wives and thy daughters, (((and the wives of the true believers))), that they cast their outer garments over them when they walk abroad; this will be more proper, that they may be known to be matrons of reputation, and may not be affronted by unseemly words or actions. God is gracious and merciful.
Mr. Ghamidi asserts that the above divine Order is only for Prophets PBUH wives & it is not for the ordinary Muslim women, despite, a clear express statement that commands the messenger [pbuh] to tell your wives & your daughters and women of Believers to drape [cover] themselves with outer garment when they go out.
Subsequently, Mr. Javed Ghamidi is guilty of slandering the Quran of double standards.
I see Mr. Ghamidi as a secular shill & prioritizes Reason as a legislator, influence under the Greek Hellenistic sphere, he will lend support to Godless Western ideals, he stands carelessly, affecting to be seen of modern academic Scholar, wavering between faith & infidelity, and adhering neither unto these nor unto those: Sadly he is professionally attempting to fusing orthodox Muslim beliefs with Greek Secular religion. This is unacceptable to any intelligent Muslim society. Pakistan Police authorities must stop secular propagandists operating on the national media platform & the government must prosecute all NGOs who are taking foreign funding covertly to weaken Islamic values within Dar-ul-Islam Pakistan.
Quran 33;36 It is not fit for a true believer of either sex when God and His Apostle have decreed a thing, that they should have the liberty of choosing a different matter of their own: and whoever is disobedient unto God and his Apostle, surely erreth with a manifest erro

Great convo Shezad, Ahad and Hashim!! Enjoyed the "at Harvard" humor as well. Would like to know more about institutions doing work for reform in the sector, and how we can better support them (money, resources from overseas etc.). Also, curious about successful strategies from east punjab that could be applied to west punjab

I appreciate your videos. Just a constructive criticism: I wonder why Harvard grads were the experts to talk on this, and why their opinion is supposedly more in touch or holistic than the range of student activists who’ve been protesting against online education since months? They’ve been removed from the pak education system for years, and no idea of how the student solidarity movement has affected pak education beauracracy, and definetily not a more in depth insight into all the things wrong with it, and the ways it can be improved

Id just like to share that I have lived all my life in Pakistan - only went to the US for my studies and have worked in the local ed sector for the past 10 years. I and my brother were at the forefront of the student solidarity march and continue to be involved. Once again thank you for taking out time to engage.

One hour into the podcast. Disappointing. So far I've heard highly misguided tech utopianism, advocating full-throatedly for digital education, voucherization, privatization, lamenting the high salaries of public school teachers, claiming that too much money is being spent on education in Pakistan. They've brought the neoliberal dogma over from Hah-vahd. As for online education, it was one of the unmitigiated disasters in the U.S. in the Covid era. As a matter of philosophical principle, online education is neoliberalism's ultimate dream of bypassing real education, but these guys aren't even questioning the dark side of it. One hour in, I haven't heard any thoughts about the content of education, just administrative matters, half an hour on shutting down physical schools and conducting schooling online.

Educational institutions being an escape from violent environments is so true. Another aspect regarding our education system that we also need to talk about is providing mental health services to our students/teachers. One can debate that we don't have enough resources/psychologists in Pakistan yet,but a good beginning could be to educate our students/teachers to create a tolerant and empathetic language around it. You see i have even had teachers who have casually made suicide jokes and it is not okay because it could trigger anybody present. Also, understanding the future is tech but this change to going online is very rapid and as a student i have felt that instituitions even need to talk about how to modify our current curriculum and assignment deadlines accordingly, you see because a pandemic is not only coming with a change in lifestyle,it's coming with it's own anxities, uncertainity and traumas.
Also Shezad i believe i am one of those students you should invite over for a podcast.Haha.

Out of 42 courses touched in a bachelor's business degree, 38 of them are about interest, calculation, promotion or adjustments. Imagine a student get to learn hard stance of Quran against similar concept, how somebody will justify this disparity.

Students ke paas limited time, energy and mindspace hota hai. If you officially spend time on this, you will not be able to spend the time on something else.
Maybe rich people have the time to officially study 7th century histories. But someone who comes from a poor background who has limited time, who probably works after college and has to use their time in the best way possible will lose opportunities to learn new productive skills.

I guess shehzad you should particularly upload this episode on facebook so it gets larger market reach because the change resistive mindset needs to be changed in pakistan. Idk why even university students so called intellectuals of the country opposed the transition towards online classes. I mean you understand there is no way then why resist?. Plus its really important to highlight the kind of behavior and approach HEC adopted against the students is pathetic. Students were expelled and were beaten by the police but whyyyyy ?.

Can you explain your experience?I am a 12 th grade student from India(Lucknow) and so does my school charges the same amount of fee per month(3000 inr).It is a fine a school , definitely nothing compared to elite private school s of the city but I won't call it shit.Yep a lot of rote learning is done by the students but voluntalirly. Teachers discourage it and try their best to deliver of the meagre resources school have.
