Paul, I know your a busy man, an I understand if you can't reply,I know it might sound like a stupid question but..
What is your opinion on AIO watercooling solutions for graphics cards?, do you think Graphics card companies like Gigabite are copying the 295 X2's idea.
I know this is probably going to sound self opinionated an I'm sorry if it does but..
I think if Graphics card companies like Sapphire did something simular to what the 295 X2 graphics card done, by water cooling on their upper range 3GB GDDR5 an up "DUAL - X" graphics cards.
I don't know about anyone else, but it would be a good idea an I know it would cost them more money,but.. for casual gamers who want to watercool their graphics card to get more performance, without the risk of voiding their worrenty by tearing apart their graphics card, it would save a lot of time and effort.
I know theirs companies already offering solutions like this.

Still DOESN'T MAKE SENSE! I bought my 295x2, which is factory watercooled and looks beautiful in its full metal chassis, for $615. Add a second and you have four 290xs in two slots with just two 120mm radiators to find room in your case to mount (easily done since most cases have a 240mm top exhaust).
You're still literally at HALF the cost of this for arguably better performance. But in all honestly, just a single 295x2 is plenty, and dual-GPU scales much better than tri-GPU.
And whats really beautiful about the 295x2 instead IMO is the fact that you can mount it on a mITX motherboard, and use a small form factor case that has a 240mm slot. Just use 120mm for the GPU, 120mm for your CPU, put a 750gb SSD on there, and for storage all that should be on a home server/NAS anyway IMO. That way you can really blow away your friends that you can fit in so much performance into such a tiny chassis... heck, that way it can even reside in the living room console style.

It would be interesting to see them revisit this idea, given what's on the market these days.
I still love that enclosure, even if the rest of the system is so poorly designed. Imagine it with a good 360 rad and pump/res combo (think EisWand), and quick disconnect fittings on the back. Then they could sell a range of cards with standard waterblocks, pre-filled, with the same QDC (think EisWolf or EKWB Phoenix).

I got a EVGA 980 Superclocked and it completes 3dmark firestrike at 1570mhz max boost , all stock air cooled and doesn't go above 70C with +81mv voltage. Best video card i ever bought ( owned many ASUS, Zotac, PNY cards ) and this EVGA just blew my mind. Also running the memory at 8.2ghz (7ghz stock )

It strikes me that if you have the $3K available to buy this monstrosity, along with the fear or unwillingness to DIY the setup, you would also have the $$ to just pay someone to build the custom-looped system for you. I gotta agree, this unit doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

Just as a question: Do Z97 have enough lanes for 3-way SLI? As far as I know only X99 boards offer 28/40 lanes and for SLI-certification you need 8 lanes per card, with Z97s only having 16 lanes as far as I know (without bonus controllers that is, which increases latency to the CPU and decreases the actual performance). Sooo... Does the Z97 Classified even offer 24 lanes total? I know it says "4-Way SLI support" on the website, but remember, 2 dual chip cards still counts as 4-way SLI and only takes 16 lanes.

Can someone explain how dual CPUs work. Does it double the performance or is it like Video Cards where it varies. If you have dual 8 cores does that mean you have 16. And if data a split between them or they are offset would that effectively double the speed 2x4GHz=8GHz. I know this is all useless overkill for almost everything you would do. l'm just curious.

I find this very interesting and would look into buying one to replace the external graphics card on my computer provided it had HDMI output ports.

I wonder if those tubes could be run out the back through an expansion bay slot if you remove a cover. The downside, of course, would be the controller display facing away from the front of the machine, but that seems like it'd be workable in most cases- just set the controller to target temp and leave it alone.

100% agree with Waterforce single card. That absolutely makes sense. Even more so if they give you the option of closed loop or just the card with the block pre installed and plop it into your own custom loop.

At the end of the video you hit the nail on the head jay. The product should be a closed loop GPU,rad and fan combo like the closed loop CPU coolers are. That is most definitely a product I would buy.

I am glad you summed that up the way you did. I was wondering what the cost comparison was vs your Skunkworks. You hit it right on the head the only users I can see buying this is someone who wants insane GPUs and is not comfortable making a custom loop.

Hi Jay, is the kit available as gpus's individual to the giant fan case attachment on top of the case? I doubt that some people will need it if they already have a tall case with enough room in the bottom to mount the fans for the gpus.
Also, no offense but even though you chose a smaller case to represent what the 'average consumer' can expect, I don't think the average consumer will opt for 1 gtx980 let alone 3! That's enthusiast level although, granted, there are some people who require such power. Just my little input but I love the videos you put out!

For the record, you can get a 5.25" bay expansion that includes a power button as well as USB 3.0, so that's a workaround for the front panel issue. That doesn't mean that that part's any better designed. I'm just offering that as a solution for those that have run into that issue.
