I’m gonna use this recipe and make a Kombucha Rose! I’m gonna follow your recipe for the red grape juice then put 1/2 white grape juice and 1/2 plain kombucha! Everything else will be the same! I’ll let you all know!! Thanks Trent!
@@TheBruSho Hey Trent!!! I forgot to let you know how this came out!! After bottle conditioning for two weeks like I think you said they weren’t very bubbly at all so I put them in an empty cupboard for 3 months (like my other Kombucha champagnes) they are super fizzy!! I brought two to a friend’s Christmas party and everyone loved it! Amazingly I left them dry but the bitterness from the Concord grape is actually pretty good! I’ve been giving them away for Christmas gift and they are now gone! Thanks again!!
We used to kinda this same thing college, except id jus use a bag of frozen berries and a bottle of Jose Cuervo and suprisingly it's delicious #poolsidevibes
Amazing video, great work. i saw you use a refractometer after fermentation, i have had trouble in the past using them when alcohol is produced, since the thinner alcohol changes the refraction of the light and i would have wild readings. are you using a different type of refractometer or do you rely on a hydrometer for your SG readings?
Thanks! So I use a refractometer conversion calc when I take final gravity reading and that gets me accurate readings. In more recent videos I’ve been noting that. But good idea to compare against a hydrometer if your unsure

How exactly did u sanitize your fermenter?! Did u use star san? Or anouther sanitizer for wine making?! Can u use star san for wine making?! Sorry just so used to brewing beer. Trying to do a few wines now..I'm a little out of the loop. 😅
regarding the priming of the bottles how many teaspoons of sugar does that work out to each bottle. I use two teaspoons of sugar per bottle [ Champagne bottles [ 75. Cls.] which is 4.2 grams. per bottle.
Not sure I use grams and use a calculator every time I bottle. That way it’s precise and I don’t have bottle bombs, it’s dependent on gravity and temperature
if you wanted to double or increase the amount of wine would i have to add more sugar, or should i just use the specified amount for any amount of grape juice?
@@TheBruSho thank you, this helps a lot and I love your videos. can you try making an imperial cider? ever since my GF had Bad Apple cider she wants me to make it. i honestly think its just your normal cider with added sugar because it comes at 10% ABV.
Do you have any experience with the Omega's Lutra strain? I'm contemplating making a hard seltzer with it soon, but am now tempted to pour grape juice on the yeast cake after I rack the seltzer. Any idea how a beer strain would work out?
Yeah Lutra is super versatile, I don't see why you couldn't do that and come up with something awesome! I guess technically it wouldn't be a "wine" but who cares! You might not get a wine that is as dry but I am sure it will still taste good.
That's an excellent question. NA wine is pretty hard to do on a homebrew scale, something I am still trying to figure out. But if I were to guess you would need to find some yeast that doesnt ferment grape juice well, and use a lot less juice, maybe cut it with water. But I have no idea what that will taste like.
@@paynesm2 I just toss them all in at the beginning because it’s easier. But I’ve heard good things about staggered additions. Haven’t seen a big enough difference for me though.
For bottle conditioning? It just takes that long to build pressure, you could probably do a week but wont be as fizzy. If you have a keg it can be even faster.
The fermented drink master does it again!!! Poolside drinks are the best!!!!

If you want more quantity wine I would say you need more juice. But if you want a stronger wine you would add more sugar
@@TheBruSho so if I wanted more but keep the abv the same just stick to 1 pound of sugar?
@@Infamousbadge I would scale everything up evenly. So if your doubling the entire recipe then double the juice and sugar

Brewing is like baking and following that recipe. Want more cake? Then you double everything. Want more wine? Double everything. Or triple or more.

Why did you use French Rosé Wine Kit - RJS Cru International to make this
You could totally use a wine kit, but I wanted to show how you can make tasty wine with store bought juice.
Is it weird that I want to use actual roses? Especially since organic roses are edible. I want to definitely try it.
No I'm sure that would be fantastic, rose hips are a great option, just go easy so you dont get overwhelmed with that flavor
Great idea, if I make this for the wife, it may get me some points back from abandoning her on Wednesday nights for the Hoppy Hour. Cheers!
Lol it definitely can’t hurt!
Why 2 weeks ?
For bottle conditioning? It just takes that long to build pressure, you could probably do a week but wont be as fizzy. If you have a keg it can be even faster.
Use of refractometer for final gravity is not accurate, use a hydrometer instead.
not if you use a conversion calculator
