I love how all the other summons erupt from the ground or appear in a flash of lightning and Titan is just like “I’LL SAVE YOUUUUUU” and sprints across the planet to go punch your enemies in the face

I like how almost all the summons ultimately destroy the ground within a 10 mile radius, and said summons pick up noctis to protect him while his poor friends are left on the ground to suffer.

@@licht8842 Bahamut put Somnus on the throne, and made Ardyn the "villain" in his sick script for peace to Eos. Ardyn ends up hating Noctis solely because of his brother's legacy. Noctis would sacrifice himself for no reason other than completing Bahamut's end game.
Better than that, Bahamut was going to use the ambient energy of the starscourge to do his megaflare on the entire planet, wiping out every last human living on it. So Noct and Ardyn end up dying for nothing.

I love how Gentiana has her eyes closed in like 90% of her screen time in the game but when she gets summoned she walks in with her eyes wide open. That's when you know shit is about to happen

Nah when Gentiana pulled up on ardyn to shut his ass up while she talked to noctis it was easily my favorite moment of the game lmao.
I love that when you summon Shiva as young Noctis, he's all cold and rubbing his hands together to keep warm, but wheny ou summon her as adult Noctis he's just standing there like a total badass with his purple eyes.
I mean after a solid 5-10 minutes of fighting Ifrit I think he could use the cold. Also fun fact if you summon Shiva as old Noctis anywhere before the Ifrit fight (like the other monsters in Insomnia) he's still cold

played this game for like 110 hours before putting it away. saw shiva probably 3 times, leviathan twice, never saw titan. saw ramuh like a billion times.
They have triggers, like Titan will only appear if at least one party member is dead, Leviathan can replace Ramuh if there is a body of water and Shiva replaces Ramuh randomly.
Ikelos The triggers are bullshit. I have dozens of videos saved showing Levi being summoned with no water in sight, Titan showing up right after the fight starts with full health party... it really is just random, with a heavy leaning towards Ramuh/Shiva.
John De Oliveira Most of them are guesses, but Leviathan does need a nearby body of water to spawn. It can be a small puddle.
That being said, regardless of the animation the summons were handled extremely poorly, they're just "press L2 and everything dies" and they add nothing to the gameplay besides an artificial battle duration limiter.
AKA nobody really cares.
I really wish the combat in XV was decent.
If you fight AM-X Angelus boss (machine Lv99) you can summon them around 50% of the time but sadly it's completly useless on him^^

Ifrit kinda made Bahamut look like a chump. The guy summoned an assload of swords, and Ifrit just parkours his ass around every last one with no problem. This is the ONLY time we summon him too.

Rlly I felt like Titan was one of my more common summons
Ramuh is definitely the MVP of all the summons. He’s like the only one that can attack anywhere. He’ll throw his lightning bolt into caves, buildings, open field, you name it.
I'm 110 hours into the game, didn't get a single titan summon.
I've platinumed the game and still haven't summoned Titan. Not once. According to what I can find online, they say his summoning condition is an ally is in danger: at 0 HP and their potential HP falling. Yet none of those conditions exist in this video when he's summoning Titan, so that seems unlikely to be accurate.

well one thing for sure they should change the 'summoning condition' just according to the environment or an option to choose which Astral to summon.
You need wide area for Titan to be summon. You see, he LOVE running coming to you.
I summoned Titan only once when I was fighting Ardyn when I replayed the fight the third time. He was just standing inside the city and just threw a giant rock which he just picked up
I don't know what's funnier, that it takes aligning 72 planets and a Black Lotus card to summon one of these and still half of them only did like half damage to the monster or that Shiva seemed to obliterate the shit out of Ifrit effortlessly while Bahamut couldn't land a hit.
Ifrit was distracted by Shiva's harem, so he couldn't parkour his way out of the Diamond Dust lol

noctis doesnt even have the mark from him. like the mark of the archaean. the marks were given so that you can summon the astrals. ifrit doesnt even agreed to help him nor did he gave his mark.

They should have made it possible to choose which summon to invoke instead of RNG.

If Bahamut would have just used Megaflare, the game would have ended right then and there.
This bahamut was more based around the original Bahamut, in where he was a stepping stone of the main story.
FF1, he turns the 4 main characters bigger and meaner.
I'm aware of what happened in FF1. However, that version of Bahamut never attacked, so you wouldn't know if he would have had used Megaflare or not.
I just like how he looks like a Humanoid Dragoon version of FFX's Bahamut.

Bahamut is still the hardest summon I’ve seen in any RPG in a while. I still remembering screaming at the TV during that fight and thinking my PS4 was going to melt. Mad respect for all the artists that worked on that animation.

Each god has their summon requirements. Titan is your teammates have to be dead.
Leviathan is you have to be close to dieing. Forgot what ramuh is. Bahamas only helps at the end. Ifrit doesn't help shiva also only helps at the end
And garuda is the summon when the battle takes too long.

I honestly don't blame Titan for showing up and punching the hell out of a giant turtle if you think about it. Dude was holding a giant rock for years and rarely comes across anything relatively his size (let alone bigger seeing as the turtle's shell is a mountain of it's own). Honestly, this is one of those moments where Titan can actually let loose.
For those who don’t know the summon depends on the area if it’s a wet area leviathan is summon if u do the secret mission u can as well summon Garuda the forgotten goddess of storm anddd titan and rumah can be summoned anywhere but titan can’t be summon inside tunnels or dungeons like rumah anddd bahamut can only be summoned once when u fight ifrit, speaking of ifrit god of flames he can’t be summoned becuz he betrayed the gods and the kings and shiva be summoned anywhere but rarely mostly In narrowed areas

Of all Summons I just love Shiva's Story summon with Ifrit the most out of the fact Shiva still had love for Ifrit after everything to the point she gave him a parting kiss
Loved the game, but the worst part of the game was that summons were random. You could not summon by command.

Victor Mora in this game and style of play, it makes sense. They are way too powerful and wouldnt be fun if you just spam them. Best summons out of any FF, except the game needed more. Ff15 is up there with my favorites.

Point of the story was that Noctis had to prove to the Gods. Them helping you were on their on whims
Personally i think it sucks that bahamut is limited to 1 fixed summoning time against ifrit. It would of been awesome seeing what attack animations he could of have if you could summon him in the same summoning conditions as shiva and ramoh

acually, i got ruby light(his ability) and never played the demo
Ruby Light is reserved for players who play on Easy Mode. It stops Noct from being KO'd in most part of the games, making it basically impossible to die (except for a few key places in the game). That's why it's called easy mode, lol. It doesn't require the demo to have been played.
Getting Shiva during the battle with Ifrit is so badass. it's like going back to ff8 and having Ifrit afraid of Squall having Shiva.

I love this game's versions of summons. It feels less like "hey just show up and do a big element attack" and more like actual divine intervention.

I love how titan is kinda the most "base" of the summons. He just runs up and punches or throws a giant rock. Nothing really flashy or fancy compared to the others. Makes me think of the batman episode where the villians are talking about the close times they beat batman and killer croc's best moment is "I threw a rock at him. It was a REALLY BIG rock!" for his answer. :P

I put so many hours into this game and wasn't fortunate enough to witness a summon. I get that they are amazing in looks and strength compared to previous final fantasy titles but I would of loved to have seen the cinematics of the summons through my play.

Love the Shiva Sisters as always, the one against Ifrit was by far my favorite
It's even more iconic when you remember that Ifrit and Shiva are a couple. So that fight had more meaning then just noctis winning. It was about Shiva trying to save the man she loves and bring him back to her.

Eduardo Cartagena I don't know about licking the Season Pass, but it's really a matter of perspective. Do you want the additional stories of your comrades or no. For me that is the main reason to get it, additional story content. Also, I remember reading somewhere that Gilgamesh is in Epsiode Gladio, and I would love to fight him. Gilgamesh is probably the one who gave him his additional scars too.

If they plan on DLC, sure hope they include some new summons, along with new alternate animations for the old ones (so every summon has 1 close up attack, 1 distant attack, 1 underground attack, and 1 attack vs Adamantoise)
Good summons to actually get would be Ifrit (new game + summon or something), Bahamuth, Alexander and Gilgamesh.
And turning Carbuncle in a proper summon instead of a gimmick for easy mode.

5 years later and none of this happened🥲 And Gilgamesh is just Gladio's opponent in his DLC. Thank you, btw, for confirming that Carbuncle is, in fact, the "mysterious friend" who helps you on easy mode. Been tempted to play on easy just to see Carbuncle's assist despite my desire to always start a new game on no lower than normal mode😅

That's because it's random. The first time I attempted Adamantoise, good guy Ramuh showed up but in my second attempt I was there like 2 hours and no summon came to my aid.
There's an invisible cool down on summons.
Megan Amber Correct. I can't seem to summon twice a day. I remember I summoned shiva and then tried again against endless hordes of imperials and nothing. I think its one summon per day or one summon for each day reset.

Miku Hatsune ifrit is supposed to be available later on in a free update. Unfortunately I don't think it will be part of the main story. It'll be backstory that involves the origins of ardyn Or possibly the fall of the empire.

C4DNerd wow here we go with gimme sources folks. Tabata and his team are making free content after all dlc is released. It's been confirmed by square Enix themselves. A lot of people were confused as to what was really going on in chapter 13. There will be story packs that will allow you to play as other characters a.k.a the bad guys in the game. Starting with Ravus,you'll see the game from his perspective. Most big battles that took place in ff15 were taken out of the game,for example the battle with Shiva,the attack on tenebrae,the entire nifelhiem empire being plagued by demons,etc.(If you remember the earlier trailers,noctis was fighting iron giants in a big city)Ravus was there during those battles this is the first of other free content that will be added or put back into the game in 2017. Tabata is looking for ways to put ardyn in the game as a playable character and he also hinted at having ifrit as a summon but did not want to go into further details.

Miku Hatsune maybe bahamut in the future but not Ifrit. Ifrit hates humanity so for story reasons he'll remain antagonist without ever giving his blessing to you unlike the other five

Gotta admit having Titan show up to throw down with the living mountain they made Adamantoise into is pretty goddamn sweet. I hope that happens when I finally fight the damn thing. Also, Ramuh is pretty much the only summon I've seen in 120 hours that wasn't tied to a story event so far but I'm happy to see that Titan and Shiva do at least have a chance to show up (to hell with that bitch Leviathan)

These are not just normal summons. They are Gods. Astral Gods. They don't help Noctis unless he's at a complete stage of distress and that makes sense.
For the status the creators of the game gave the summons, it's perfectly fine to have them only used at their will...NOT yours. To call upon them freely would reduce them to nothing, lol.
