I enjoy good songwriting.
Some cliche's in the English lyrics, but the words fit the music and follows a traditional genre of the wanderer who has left his home in order to find happiness, still it has its own way of telling the story. KUDOS for using a real genuine lyricist.

Iceland have always been the based country of Scandinavia, the rest are a joke unfortunately (saying that as someone who is from a different country in Scandinavia). Its probably because they are relatively small.. they have done a lot of good things over there

He handles language and melody beautifully, also in English. I loved the Icelandic version, but really, he made it in English too. This is also in a way, reminding of the genre of wanderer songs, which we know from the land even further west, like « I am a poor wayfaring stranger..», «I am a man of constant sorrow..» etc.. And Iceland is the most western country in the ESC. I like it.

You can feel the subtle Hatari influence, makes sense as Einar co-wrote it (and Matthias is also listed in some versions, probably helped with the Icelandic lyrics). Not as overtly industrial but you can feel it in the drum beat and the bass.
