As an Irish person I am horrified by the amount of comments misgendering Bambie and also the amount of people calling them demonic. Our culture was stripped away from us, Ireland's history is painted with blood and our language is barely used throughout the country. We were originally a pagan country so we should be allowed practice our old traditions if we choose to. What happened to freedom to practice your religion??? There is no need to bring Christianity into this. Pagan traditions are still around today such as Halloween (the Irish festival of Samhain) and the blowing out of candles on your birthday. It was a pentacle used in their Eurovision performance which is something in Celtic mythology that was used to ward off evil spirits and the horns are actually Fae horns which is a creature from our mythology.

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one that I loved Bambie Thug's performance at Eurovision 2024 yesterday. I had hoped that Ireland would win Eurovision, but unfortunately it wasn't. Yesterday, when I saw them on the stage I was shocked but amazed in the same time. In my opinion, this is by far the best show and performance I've seen at Eurovision 2024. It was so original. Even the song is so good. Bambie Thug, I really love your style and your song. Keep going what you're doing, you're amazing and a great artist. You didn't win the Eurovision, but you won my heart. Their live performance at the finals was _amazing!_ Bambie was giving us Maleficent Realness! I was hoping Bambie would use makeup and different colored lighting to change their appearance, thereby capturing the spirit of the costume-changes in the music video. And they did something almost no other ESC act has done: created a stage-version of the music-video that captures the essence of the music video _and_ actually _works_ on a stage!
So, so many other ESC acts over the years have had cool, cinematic music videos that they then try to copy onstage, only for it to fall completely flat. Because, duh!, a video and a live stage are two _completely different media!_ They're not going to translate 1-to-1. So you have to create something _new_ onstage that reflects the ethos and the spirit of the music video. Either that, or you design the music video so that it can also be replicated onstage … but that's not really the same thing, is it?

The entire storyline of the video feels like a spiritual process and explosively passionate evocation - and even though we don't know how many details will be transported to the semi-final performance in May, I already know that I couldn't be prouder and happier to be wholeheartedly represented by an artist and human being as exceptional as this! I myself am Goth for decades - and even though "Doomsday Blue" is no traditional Goth but rather merges all sorts of genres to create a groundbreaking experience, Bambie Thug identify as Goth and therefore will be the wonderful voice of all dark souls and alternative people out there! Eurovision needs diversity, Ireland desperately needed to walk a new path in their selection process, hence Eurovision 2024 is the perfect place for Bambie to blow the minds of millions and to get the well-deserved love and recognition which their music and art should have gotten years ago already. And LGBTQ+ representation is inevitably needed anyway, as some parts of the world are getting more and more regressive and need to face some voices speaking the truth and standing for love, freedom, equality and individuality! Bambie, cast the spell over Sweden and the entire world - it's time to bathe the planet in solaceful gloom!🖤⛧💜
