Oh wow. Putting the brush strokes in for texture is genius. Thank you! Edit: read in comments those ridges were put in w knife. Either way, great idea than just painting in lines. ❤
There’s a tray of pastels there and a makeup brush. She’s using pastels and pressing it into the eye. You would need to use a primer on the plastic or else the pastel would not stick. She is also using water color paint and UV resin. She is also using glittery mica powder. Everything here is used in all doll repaints so I guess she didn’t include it because it’s identifiable if you’ve watched any doll repaint videos. Watch BJD, Barbie, monster high, any doll repaint video, the artists all use the same stuff.
I would like to know more about the process of making the eye ball have the ridges in it prior to applying the color also sometimes it was challenging follow the video due to focus issues but I really love your work🙂
@@moomimi oh no no she actually uses polymer clay to fill the iris part then carved the lines with a knife. The mold part is only for the eyeball part. Your work is beautiful and I love the process, but that autofocus made this really hard to watch. Is also love to know where you got the mold for the eyes with the striations in them most molds I've seen are smooth around the irises.
Thank you for sharing your process. The eyes you make are truly remarkable and have amazing detail. I wish it would be possible to get such detail in my doll scale, but the Iris of Inamorata dolls in about the size of the pupil on these.
Яромира Белюшина can be either clay or a resin cast. You could even 3dprint in white resin the bases with streaked irises or, if the eye is going to be small (like mine which are around 5mm) you can 3dprint the base and then add the iris streaks with white polymer clay.
Мне кажется, это полимерная глина. Либо же в других туториалах я видела зрачки из страз, каких то мелких украшений. Иногда это просто углубление в глазу, куда потом заливают немного крашенной смолы
Im so confused TuT This video didnt explain anything? What tools you used, what type of paint, how did you get the white bases you painted on? And there was another step (I mean there had to be??) between the last painting part and the finished product...how does one get them to be round? ToT So beautiful but not really a "how to" video...
i think the clear bottle is UV Resin, since I've seen the bottle from my local diy craft shop. and i think the black color is concentrated watercolor because it looks like ink, but diluted like watercolor. but i could be wrong since the uploader didn't give us any information
Yeah the clear gel is definitely uv resin. The black liquid is a special pigment that you can mix in with uv resin to color it. Usually it comes in a pack with a ton of pigment colors, Limino is a good brand to look for!
✧ I wish specifics of which paints (looks like pastels?) & colours, brands & techniques were included in the video ✧ that would've really helped ♡ I checked the vid description but didn't see any info on this & also had captions on (tho none were available) to get any info, but I may have just missed it. the two pastel brands she uses are Schmincke and Sennelier, brushes are just regular brushes. She sometimes cut her paintbrushes in the middle to make it short & stable? I haven't got her book so I can't say it 100% but i am pretty sure the whole technique she uses in the video is: - eyeball: white epoxy resin + silicon mold - iris line: a thin layer of polymer clay + carve the lines with a knife - iris color: pastels+glitter+watercolo/acrylic - final finish: UV resin
@@bunbunasmr Thank you for this. Do you know if the dark rim is just pastel? Also it does seem to me that the regularity of the striations implies they are cast in. I wonder about taking a cast eye, doing the polymer clay striations, then making a new mold from that one?
@@JaneFancher okay, so i actually bought her book(in Chinese) and i will translate the part you wanted to know here. The dark rim is actually made of resin. Firstly, she uses a silicon mold and she mixed a little dark grey UV resin, applied a thin line around the dark rim, cure it with UV then she uses a lighter blue and draws a wider circle, then cured it. Then she uses epoxy resin to make the white eyeball part. She didn't use any mold for the iris striations part tho but what you said is possible, and i even saw some molds with carved lines selling online. But she hand-carved herself, the regularity is just cuz she is very good at it. Her doll eyes are usually sold about $100~150usd per pare, maybe one of the most pricy ones in the chinese bjd community
What kind of clay that you use, please tell me. I just bought your how to book but It tell me just white clay. Can you tell me the brand of clay please.
