That’s pretty cool! Awesome! Only you should have put some kind of guard around or in front of the prop, just in case you hit something submerged under the water, so you don’t mess your prop ( propeller) up.

nice one, fkn great channel. im currently building my own boat and i was considering not using the two 1800 scooter motors and going for a 125 cc engine as this has 24 more bhp then the electric motors combined but i really like the lack of noise?? one thing is for sure ive gotten a lot of problem solving ideas from this channel and i thank you sir. also thank you for thinking of the English speaking viewers. muchios

You should make one using brushless motors. You will get much more power
Nice work. Incredible engineering. I loved the fact that those electric motors are water cooled..that helps in power consumption. Heat goes up as the voltage drops and amps increase. Great work

Packing tape to protect the foam from the resin is a great idea, you could make just about anything that way. Also like the water cooling. Nice job! 👍I like it 😊👍👍

The tape is a really good idea to keep the hull from adhering to the water with a rippled finish.
stevesmkspot yah I thought the same think the styrofoam would melt from the catalyst. But the ripple affect by using tape instead of shrink wrap or something else was actually a good choice,
I think the work is awesome there's only one thing I seen that I would have done different I think I would turn the 2 outboards the other way I think you had them upside down the way you got him now they will dig into the water and push your boat negative instead of positive but other than that great work

What kinda resin do u use?
Very impressive build, got right to it and get 'er done. Liked your choices for hooking up the motors to the drive shaft, protecting the particular foam you were working with, and especially the technique for cooling the motors which in my opinion moved you along quite nicely.
I've been looking for a modification for a two man kayak so I can use it for bow fishing and your pontoon set-up was 'the answer'.
I'll be using the same foam used to make surfboards with since I've made a few boards before and can save some time by not having to protect the foam as you had to do.

не. в принципе проекту зачет однозначно. суперлегкая лодка которой не нужно госрегистрации... правда доработать бы мотор до состояния легкосъемности - то есть оформить все "в одном флаконе". тогда можно будет путешествовать - через речку переехал, дотащил до другой речки.
и какая у нее грузоподъемность? мешок карточки с дачи за рекой увезет? себя можно считать за второй мешок картошки - то есть лодка должна везти 1-2 мешка картошки если не считая водителя.
Why not simplify by using one motor that has sufficient power? Using multiple motors is inefficient, losing power through all that power transfer. And you could avoid electrical balancing issues too

With that battery size, cheap controllers and low effeciency motors all coupled together instead of a bigger one I dont give it more than 6km autonomy.
