There was a small scene that takes place early on in part one where Janeway was looking through old captains logs (one was from Picard) which referenced the Borg. As she reads a couple of them out loud, Chakotay smiles and informs her that she was mimicking their voices, using their inflections, etc. I always suspected that wasn't really the case, but Chakotay told her that in an attempt to lighten the mood a little and temporarily take her mind off the Borg threat. It was just a nice little character moment which demonstrates the warmth and closeness of their relationship. Those two actors had very good chemistry.
I never watched Voyager with the same zeal as I did the original Star Trek or Deep Space Nine. Your very thoughtful analysis has made me decide to give it another try. Thank you!
The 3 episodes has so many amazing scenes. Incredible battles and personal drama.

Phenomenal commentary! They are a family. 😆

Wow! That’s kind of the purpose of the Why Voyager project!! I can’t wait to hear about your journey thru Voyager!
Great review.
Thanks!
I got confused when you started referring to this set of episodes as a "trilogy" , then I remembered Scorpion is a two-part episode.
To me, Scorpion 1+2 and The Gift are a trilogy, just like Best of Both Worlds 1+2 and Family. They are one narrative thread.
Aww... no bonus scene!
Well, I figured the video was long enough! I'm glad you're enjoying the bonus scenes. As much Trek as I can fit in is my goal!
The producers had three whole years. Why couldn’t they get it together? It seems to take at least three years for a Star Trek series to find its way.
There’s great stuff in those first three seasons too, but, yeah, season 4-6 are my favorite version of Voyager.
I like every season
Al go rythm!
We're looking for rhings that go.
