just like other isolation valve , in case the foam line get damage from certain point we can close the isolation valve before that point so that foam + water is not wasted from the leak, and we can fight fire after connecting foam hose to a hydrant before the closed isolation valve

What kind of Nitrogen Generator you have on your IMO type II/III as IG system? Make a new blog about tank cleaning washing machines and disposal of chemicals over board after tank wash as per Marpol Annex II discharge requirements and containment of residue in slop tank? How often you change Framo pump seal in a submersible pump? Are you still using Methanol in order to pass wall wash test!
Great video sir.. I hv questions but this is out of topic.. Sir if u are an new 2nd officer on board, what kind of questions during hand over with 2/0?? If your vessel use primary ecdis & back up paper charts..
best thing is to follow company 2nd officer handover take over checklst because other wise u might miss something and ur company checklist will cover most of the thing. Simple things like Next port, is the passage plan ready for next port or not , is ecdis charts up to date, types of reports to be sent daily,on arrival and on departure from prt, spare parts of the euipment nd the list of thing is very big hence its better o go as per ur checklist bro.
