- Very rare broadcast of French chanteuse Françoise Hardy performing her hit ‘Tous les garçons et les filles’ live during the prestigious ‘Grand Gala du Disque’ TV show in the Kurhaus, The Hague, The Netherlands, 12 October 1963.
Françoise Madeleine Hardy, born on 17 January 1944, made her musical debut in the early 1960s and found immediate success with her song "Tous les garçons et les filles" in France and abroad. She became "France's most exportable female singing star" in the 1960’s, recording in various languages, appearing in several movies, touring throughout Europe, and gaining admiration from musicians such as Bob Dylan, Miles Davis and Mick Jagger.
In this Grand Gala performance she appeared on the same program as luminaries Marlène Dietrich and Sarah Vaughan.
The single reached #4 in the Dutch Charts after her performance on the show that was recorded by AVRO Television on 12 October 1963.

i'm wishing the best for dear françoise, she said only a few months ago that she feels she is nearing the end of her life. she is asking for the right to end her own life if her illness becomes too much to bear, but i feel she will not be granted her wish. i hope she isn't in too much pain♥
What is the point of not allowing a terminally ill person to die; I do not get it. Who benefits from it? If I ever become a terminal patient, I would want to die on my own term, too, not after suffering years from inexorable pain. Anyway, she is rich, so if she really wants, she could easily move to a nearby European country where euthanasia is legal. I am poor, so I would probably have to find the drug and inject it to myself.
