    I’ve had a couple sessions with Travis too. Every time I’m training or watching a video, I can see that’s why he does what he does. Because it works. I really enjoy working with the guy.

    This guy knows the game. A better natural teacher than Brzenk or Larratt too.

    Great content Roger, can you please explain what Travis means when he mentions "turning the corner"
    Cheers.

      @@90sKid38BRL meaning pronation thru your opponent, he was explaining different ways to workout so your hand can rotate...funny way of explaining his methods

    What's the best way to deal with the ref pulling your hand down and dumping your riser? Say, for an opponent with a short thumb?

    • @Average1212
      @Average1212 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you have the longer arm you either dump your riser or set up further back with your elbow. The web has to be matched and you have to be off the thumb. Pre go the shorter arm has the advantage in the setup(with a fair ref), once the go happens the longer armed puller has every advantage if they know how to take it.

    • @stevelleremy1685
      @stevelleremy1685 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Average1212 What are these "every advantages"? could you elaborate?. I feel like i got nothing if the ref say "GO" and my riser is already 100% fucked down because my oponent had the shorter foream which put him in a better position.

    • @Average1212
      @Average1212 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@stevelleremy1685 I am assuming from your comment that you have a longer arm and are having trouble with a shorter armed opponent.
      First point, if your opponent is stronger than you it may not matter if you have an advantage or not.
      A longer arm can always apply more pressure into a top roll, and into a high hook. A shorter arm only has an advantage in a deep shoulder committed hook (low hand top roll is great for stuffign hookers watch how Janis pulls his whole style was developed to stop hookers.)
      Longer arms almost always mean longer reach and more height both of which give you alot more movement options on the table. A short arm puller can't follow his opponent across the table and remain tight.
      If you are losing matches against someone shorter than you with similar strength levels in the fundamentals (rise, cup, roll) then you need to get stronger than them in the fundamentals. (assuming skill levels are similar)

    Is Travis left handed or right handed?

  • @Heavenknows0729
    @Heavenknows0729 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    You cant do that to opponent without proper strength. Travis is different 😅 powerful left hand

  • @Average1212
    @Average1212 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Travis is very clear about what he does yet all we hear is "I pull like Travis BUT", No if you are adding your own shit you are not pulling like Travis.

    • @RogerBaileyLearned
      @RogerBaileyLearned  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hard to pull the same way effectively, especially when you don't have their attributes.

    • @Average1212
      @Average1212 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RogerBaileyLearned then you aren't pulling like Travis. I'm not saying it is easy or possible based off peoples body types (I am too short for my weight class to pull like travis) but I also don't claim that I pull like he does.

    1:19 Bagent has really skinny legs lol. A great Armwrestler probably needs muscles only in his upper body
