I am actually confused because some people said that bts don't live together anymore....maybe because of covid-19 or they just want to live separately well, they are grown man... There are too many theories made by army😂
@@meowjk7885 they still live together, sometimes they do went to their families' houses but it's safe to say that they do still live together
They dont live together full time now. The dorm in Hannam The Hill is still there for them to use but they sleep there only for logistic like during promotions where they have to be somewhere early in the morning or maybe airport. I'm sure 1 or 2 members still live in the dorm most of the time but pretty sure Jin and V live somewhere else.
They don't say it outright but from their story here and there its clear they are not anymore.
That's cool that they are such good friends that they still have a shared living space (we are sure for logistics purposes it works for them as well)! We will have to check out the Most Beautiful Life Goes On! ❤️

With the bigger labels in South Korea. Some companies treat their artists differently, so they’ll treat one group nicely and another badly. It’s sad that this happens, but big hit isn’t like that.
Last year in December marked my first year as an army and I was so thankful I came across them. They’ve helped me so much.

actually all together they're from 4 different cities. only Jimin x Jungkook and Suga x V share hometowns. what i mean is that Jimin and Jungkook are both from Busan, while Suga and V are both from Daegu. Jin is from Gwacheon, RM is from Ilsan, and j-hope is from Gwangju.
V and Jimin actually attended the same high school so they've been friends the longest. RM and Suga were the first 2 members recruited and they've lived together the longest (13 years).
they all still live together in Seoul (where Big Hit Entertainment, their company is located) in their dorms but they all do own their own apartments/condos. when they first started off, they only slept in one bedroom because Big Hit was short on money and couldn't afford proper dorms for each of them.
BTS did almost disband once. back in 2018 they shared that they were really struggling with mental health and overall thinking what the future held for them. during a speech for an award show, Jin said 2018 was a really hard year for all of them to the point where they discussed about disbanding. but they pushed through are where they are now because of army and each other.

The lyrics are really really important in BTS's music. Ofc the sound is great but often when it has this upbeat feeling it can have really deep and sad lyrics, you know?
Saw this upload & dropped everything to come watch lol. I appreciate y'all for diving deeper into the guys' story. It puts their journey in chronological order and gives more of a background on the members individually. The creator really put a lot of effort into that video too, so its entertaining. They’re waaay closer than a family is and they all have their own apartment costing millions but they still live together. Next you should watch The most beautiful life goes on by Asian Theory. It goes into a bit more detail of how they all came to Bighit as trainees and their journey from there.
And ngl I don't think they all live together all the time, a lot of Army think so because they still have their dorm where they may film stuff in but I think they only stay there when they have busy schedules. In recent videos the members have referenced going to or coming from separate houses.
We will be watching that video soon! It would make sense for them to have their own living space and have a shared living space! They are grown men know so of course they will need their own space! But logistically and emotionally it makes sense to maintain the shared living space ❤️

It's crazy how they went from showing up at a music show, waiting for hours, rehearsing in bathrooms bc they weren't given a green room and then being told to go home because someone more important showed up, to having huge award shows literally reschedule the whole show just to fit BTS' schedule. They just really really deserve it. They have worked so hard and had the courage to dream so audaciously and really really respect and love each other and ARMY and their craft. The universe has truly gifted them the platform they deserve.
i wanna mention that the video "Who is BTS? The Seven Members of Bangtan" is EXTREMELY outdated. the video is almost 3 years old i believe so i wouldnt recommend watching it,,
What are you talking about ?? This video shows perfectly each member personality and also who is who in BTS. This is legit the most informative video about BTS members on whole youtube...
@@sheriffackerman9520 that video shows suga as cold-hearted, tsundere and jimin as emotional, vulnerable person when they aren't anymore. I see a lot of reactors misportrayed suga when in reality, he just use different love language than the other members. I'm not saying that the video is bad. It's just will be better if we have the more updated one.
Plus, in my opinion, the most informative bts video that I've watched is the most beautiful life goes on from Asian theory :)

the video talks about namjoon but only portrays him as the member that can speak english and makes music which is not all that represents namjoon (many reactors misinterpret him because of this)
only talks about jin being the eldest, his dad jokes and his insecurities and the worldwide handsome joke which do not define seokjin (many reactors misinterpret this)
makes yoongi look like a cold-hearted tsundere archetype which yoongi is not. (many reactors misinterpret this)
only talks about j-hope being a dancer and the funny guy and they dont go in depth into it either (many reactors misinterpret this)
it shows jimin and emotional and insecure (many reactors misinterpret this)
the whole jungkook section is just about him being good at everything and being the youngest (many reactors misinterpret this)
i dont mind taehyung's part in the video as much but honestly it could've been handled better (most of his clips are old and, as you might've guessed, many reactors misinterpret this)
the video doesn't really go in depth about them at ALL which is what it promises. it just shows stereotypes and cringy fandom jokes from 2013- half of 2018 and we're literally in 2021. the video's editing is confusing as well and, at the time, it was a good video but things need to change and evolve. bts themselves have evolved since then and hence why feel they need to watch a more recent introduction.

Its just shows basic and most important information about members. It gives all the most important details. And none of the things said in that videos is a lie. And let me show you the amount of bullshit you are talking about... You said it only shows Namjoon as a member who makes music and a the one who speaks english. Ok let me tell you what else it shows about Namjoon... This videos says that:
- He is a leader of the group
-He used to be underground rapper
-He was criticized a lot by kpop fans and hip hop fans for his looks and "betraying" hip hop
- He gives emotional speeches
- He has his own mixtape when he talks about his personal feelings
-He collaborated with many western artists
-He has huge responsibilty in a team like resolving conflicts and making sure BTS stays united
- He communicate with fans a lot using social media
- He helps other BTS members with their english
And i could list few more things... And you said it only show his english and him making music... The same goes for all other members. You said it only show this and that about each member, but it literally says atleast 15 details about each member... Keep in my mind that all this informations are about 3/4 minutes for each member... I would say thats a lot of details in such a short time. And if you think this video is bad then show me better video about who BTS members are and i will check that out. Because ive seen a lot of videos like this and i havent found a better video about BTS members then "Who is BTS the seven members of bangtan". And btw im not saying that this video is perfect, all im saying is that i havent seen a better video myself... But if you know one please let me know and i will be happy to watch that.
@@sheriffackerman9520 in my personal opinion, what really helped me when i got into bts was just differentiating them and then finding out their personalities myself. so i think a video like the most beautiful life goes on by the asian theory is a good one because it just tells you who they are. then if they (the reactors) want to know /them/ better then they can just watch their interviews, bts run, etc. another series that i like so far is a series called the rise of bangtan. its still ongoing but i enjoy it because it goes through their whole journey, not just a summary of it.

Our fandom "ARMY" come in all shapes, sizes, ages, gender, countries, backgrounds etc. (I'm in my 30s btw)
BTS has many layers to them. Their songs/MVs is just the tip of the iceberg. They have a genuine appreciation and passion for their art of MUSIC. Their lyrics and messages they want to convey is very deep so it's important to understand what it means & translated in English. Turning CC on is an easy solution.
There's so much amazing contents from them so definitely take your time if you wanna continue on this beautiful journey. The list is long. I've been ARMY since 2014 & I'm still trying to catch up. 2020 was not a boring year for ARMY at all because BTS fed us well.
Aside from working together as a group, they have the creative freedom to work on solo projects as well. While money is a huge factor for many, their genuine passion for their art & love for ARMY led them to extend their contract another 7 years and not for the money. 😭

Also, RM, Suga, and j-hope (the rap line) are full members of KOMCA because they write a lot more (they write almost all their own bars--the exceptions being songs in foreign languages (they mostly sing in Korean but they release Japanese albums and a couple of English songs too). Last count RM, Suga, and j-hope have about 400 writing credits between them dating all the way back to pre-debut. The other members (Jin, Jimin, V, and Jungkook) are newer to writing and have about 30 writing credits between the 4 of them. KOMCA only promotes 25 people annually to full members. Suga was promoted in 2018 and RM and j-hope were promoted this year. (Also, fun fact, RM has writing credit on a Billboard Hot 100 #1 song, j-hope and Suga both have credits on 2 Billboard #1 songs, and RM and Suga were recently on Billboard's Songwriters charts (with j-hope just barely missing the Top 10 on that same chart). Anyway, we love a group that contributes to their own work!

First of all, thank you for giving the Bangtan boys a chance. I really admire you for it. I feel sometimes when guys think about the word "boy band", it could turn them off because the stereotype of boy band had in the past (boys singing & dancing about romantic love and screaming young teenage girls, etc) but then when you actually listen to BTS' music and learn their message, you will realize that BTS is far from a typical boyband indeed. However, most people already wouldn't give them a chance because of the word "Boyband". In fact, BTS 'fan base is so diverse in demography. Let me tell you this, I am a 41 years old with two young kids. I love BTS not because of their visuals but their music, message, talent, hard working, and how & who they are. Their music gives the positive and meaningful message, it is the kind of music that I would like my kids to grow up with (since a lot of music out there these days likes to talk about thug, drug, sex or other bad stuff.) I introduced BTS music to my kids and now we are fans of them. I think it is pretty cool that my kids and I are growing older and closer together listening to the same music.
I recommend “The most beautiful life goes on: Story of BTS” by the Asian Theory and “Who is BTS? The seven members of Bangtan” by Suga and Spice.

With the behind the scenes video (English subtitle version is available) because it shows how dedicated they are to helping people.
People who think that bts are only stanned by 13 year old girls are simply... not thinking. This is the bestselling group in the world. Not just their tours, albums and songs but also official merchs and anything they endorse from cars, luxury body massagers and of course very expensive phones. The expensive clothes they wear also frequently sold out. 13 year olds don't have this spending power! Older fans do. The crown prince of Saudi Arabia is Army and Lea Salonga is a new fan. The younger fans helped with other goals such as streaming and in keeping BTS tops on social media.
In 2 months I will be 70yo ARMY..and as great as their mv's are (they are) you will love their live...I look forward to your reactions 💜

that's why they're special and different from others. they're a real family to each other. they're barely fighting in a serious way, bcs sadly there's still so many groups out there that not get along with each other either bcs of jealousy, hate, etc. even themselves were saying that they're the truest relationship out of all groups bcs they barely had a fight, even when they're having a argument or they're having a little fight, they made up very quickly so i'm glad that i stan the right group in the right company.

Lol, the funny thing is that despite having their own places, they all still live together in a main house, and two of the members (Jimin and Jhope) still share a room
Korea is a small country so apartments range in size and some are basically mansions over there 😂😂 they build vertically instead of horizontally. So now they live in a big ass house but their starting dorm/apartment was only 1 bedroom
Jimin and V were middle school schoolmates so they've known each other for the longest time, they're basically bffs and have a song together called "friends"

in regards to the whole family support, not all of them had it. suga, for example, used to fight a lot with his parents because he wanted to persue music while his parents were largely against it. since suga was already an adult he decided to do it. jungkook on the other hand, always got support from his parents and they supported him through it (he started training when he was in middle school).
non of them knew each other, i believe suga knew of rm since they were both pretty popular in the underground rap scene in korea but other than that, total strangers. they still live together to this day but some of them have individual apartments.

First off, yes, they come from different parts of korea, and until now they still live together. V said they will be lonely to live alone after all this time living together.
They were 14-19 when they start their trainee days, some supported by their parents, some are not, which is way they have experiences to part time jobs. But as far as I know, all their parents supports them now :)
In the beginning, bighit struggles financially, so they can only afford small apartement, but now they have their own bedroom.
BTS music really helped a lot of people, be it their albums or a self produced songs and mixtape, their lyrics and sincerity touches us, transcends language, age, gender, and culture. RM said that lyrics are important, as they are written for us..

I say that because they are bigger by just a bit, and they are bigger internationally, Blackpink and Bts are definitely the go to’s whenever you’re first getting into kpop since they’re more popular, I saved the other groups for last because me personally I would prefer those groups more than Blackpink X Bts even though I still like them (Multi-stan here) But Blackpink is definitely the way to go when you’re starting off with a girl group, keep in mind their discography is quite different from other girl groups but thats what makes each girl group/guy group distinctively unique from eachother . 🥰

Bts didn‘t know each other before. They all were casted in their hometowns after auditions. Yes they were all really young. The youngest (Jungkook) was 13 when he was a trainee. after they were chosen they trained for years until they debuted. They all have their own apartments but also have one big house for all of them together too.They are like a family and if you watch more of them you will really think they were destined to meet they seem like soulmates haha
And there is no jealousy in the group or something. They promote and hype each other up all the time it‘s really rare to see that in groups😊
I heard tae saying that jimin was his bestfriend from high school... and I think suga and RM came across each other a few times since they were both underground rappers

Thanks for your interest and sharing. RM & Suga/Yoongii knew each other growing up, and I think they're from the country and Korea and ASIA is very much conservative and family-oriented in nature, and school plays a big role in the upbringing (esp. socially). It's interesting they came from a pastoral world and brought their talents to the group and now we have a worldwide positive movement we call ARMY and BTS! Again, thanks for posting. Oh, I should mention that I only bought their digital albums up until Nov. 2020 when I bought the limited edtion "BE" album box and that was a historical album (recorded in pandemic conditions). So, I also bought the digital version of BE as well, and being ARMY becomes a cool cultural thing because, as with the BE album, we all unboxed on the same day and it was something we all as fans took part in. BTS know this about us and they always keep ARMY in mind.

Hi, I enjoyed your reaction to Dynamite and to this extended advertisement for BTS. I had never seen it before. I noticed in your reaction that you didn't know much about the backstory of the KPOP music industry. I would describe watching this video to learn about KPop as just listening to Maroon 5's origin story and thinking that summarized the entire American music industry.
The key element you're missing is that the KPop Industry is just that, an industry, a business model. There are many companies, of which Big Hit is one, that are supported by the government in order to promote Korea culturally and to bring in much needed funds to an industry/export poor country. That doesn't negate the fact that BTS and other KPop groups are artists, it is simply meant to inform you that there are things going on underneath the pretty clothes, amazing dancing and fantastic singing.
And before I get ANY toxic reactions from ARMY. I am ARMY. I am also intelligent. I can research and learn things. Just because you know how the rides at Disney work as machines that doesn't mean you don't smile and laugh and scream while you are riding them. This is not a diss towards BTS or any other group or artist working in the Industry. These are facts about the industry that people should know. If you would prefer not to know about that side of the industry, please stop reading.
The seven year contract is the standard. They are called SLAVE CONTRACTS for a reason. Most trainees in the entertainment companies start from as young as 12 to as old as 20. They are trained in music, dance, rap, flirting, selfie taking, skinship, maintaining their looks, fielding media questions, fashion and hobbies that are safe and non-controversial. They sign these children up to a 7-year contract, after their parents forfeit all legal rights to them, but that does not guarantee that they will "debut" and the majority of any profits that might arise if they do become big, returns to the company to pay for all that training, food, and living quarters. The group members usually only get a small portion of any profits and the larger the group the smaller each individual gets as payment. So most groups, even the "successful" ones still live together in apartments or dorms. They also give some idols plastic surgery, such as jaw shaving and that too is deducted from their income. They also train mercilessly, sometimes spending 10 - 12 hours a day in dance practices. They rarely, if ever, get to return to their families for visits as that interferes with the almighty SCHEDULE.
The groups themselves do not come together "naturally" or "organically" as this video stated. They are formed very carefully based on a model, or blueprint if you will, of earlier successful groups, such as BigBang, SuperJunior, Shinee, Wonder Girls, 2ne1, or all the way back to Seo Taiji and the Boys.
There is always at least one of each of these types:
super talented songwriter/rapper
deep voice/bad boy rapper
amazing dancer
R&B singer
powerhouse singer
a "Visual" usually an actor
a comedian/variety performer/cute youngest member.
If there are more than one of some or if they are combined, even better; because before the age of 31 all male idols in Korea must serve 2 years in the military (a recent change as it use to be 18 - 28) and they need other members to be able to still promote the group as they each serve.
There are also "generations" of KPop, BTS is considered 3rd Generation. BigBang/Shinee/SuperJunior are 2nd Generation. Seo Taiji and the Boys are 1st Generation. Because KPop as an art form has only been around since the 1980's after the Student Revolution.
BTS was formed originally as a rap group centered around RM (super talented songwriter/rapper). Suga was a songwriter/underground rapper (Bad Boy) that was recruited next, and then JHope as a street dancer (Variety Performer) who was taught how to rap. Jimin (Dancer/Visual) taught to sing, V (R&B singer/Visual) taught to dance and Jin (Visual/Variety Performer) taught to sing and dance. Jungkook had done very well on a reality show similar to American Idol as a Powerhouse Vocalist and was scouted to join the group as the cutie youngest member or maknae.
Due to BTS' success Big Hit is a billion dollar company now, with their CEO becoming the first Billionaire in the Korean Entertainment Industry. Big Hit was recently opened up for public stock options and the members of BTS all became millionaires. They renewed their contract but one would hope they negotiated for a larger percentage of the profits and they are also done paying off their "debt" to the company for their training which is why most groups will stay with their "owners", plus they were raised by these companies. They were taught that all the kind trainers, choreographers, cooks, maids, secretaries are all depending on them and supporting them as a "family". So it's no wonder that, like any family, they don't like to talk about the dysfunctional aspects of it all.
You're probably asking yourself, if you're still reading this, why did this girl write this big essay over a video reaction??
First, I'm a writer so it comes naturally to me LOL
Second, I remember what it was like to be you and starting my journey into KPop and the disillusionment I felt when I discovered everything wasn't as beautiful as I thought it was. That being said, I have come to a point where I support the artists and work to change the culture of the INDUSTRY. There have been a lot of improvements over the last few years, but there are still a lot of things that need to change. As there are structural changes in most societies, not just Korea or America, that need to change. We've all learned that the hard way in this last year.
I hope that you will continue your journey with BTS, they are seven of the most talented young men in the world. Suga has become a fierce champion for fighting societies' cruelties and his solo work as AgustD could be safely compared to Tupac Shakur in terms of influencing the culture of his country and the young people who listen to him that are following in his footsteps, the 4th Gen of KPop.
There are so many groups to know and love and you both seem open to learning about a new culture and a whole other world of music that exists. JPop, J Heavy Metal, Indian Rappers, German Industrial, African Rappers that will blow your mind. In America, we can be so insular and miss out on the rich cultures that exist in the rest of the world. But we must always keep in mind that we should learn about the culture a bit before we go diving into it, so we know what deep water to avoid.

Thanks to BTS, BigHit IS the big label now. It used to be "The Big 3": SM, YG, & JYP. Its now "The Big 4". And of these companies, BigHit has the best "culture". They're very supportive of their artists' creative freedom. They don't try to change their artists' personalities. BigHit also protects/defends their artists from hate comments & false accusations. By contrast, contracts under other companies are compared to "slave contracts". Other companies have been known to throw artists under the bus or leave them fending for themselves when they're being attacked. They push their artists to physical & emotional collapse.
I'm 50 years old and a proud ARMY right along my 28 year old daughter.

BTS has filled a hole that I didn't know how to fill a few months back. I'm 34 from Chicago, and happy to say that without a doubt, they are the greatest 7 I have ever heard of and seen. I gave up all music because I know I am ok with just them. They're all I want and need. I listen to them and watch them every day. I'm so in love with them and I can't remember ever feeling this happy. These are my boys and I'm so proud of them. They have so much content that I'd still be happy if I never catch up, lol. They didn't know each other before bts, but three of the members were involved in the underground hiphop and dance scene so they probably knew "of" each other. Especially since they were all really good and were well known. I would recommend "The Most Beautiful Life Goes On: A Story of BTS". It's probably one of the most comprehensive docu videos out there. Also, Korean entertainment companies are the same thing as labels in the US.

ARMY are full of POCs. Our fandom was donating to BLM before BTS made their statement and donation. Once they did we noticed the organizations they were giving to and we decided to match their donation. Also, the other labels wouldn't give them what BH does. Mr Bang, when he made BH a public company, made sure the guys had shares, gave them some of HIS shares and got them to buy more shares in the company so now the guys own like 20% of the company now. Even when they were re-signing Mr Bang told them and their families to make sure they have their OWN lawyers, accountants etc. He always wants them to have someone that isn't him making sure they get everything they want. Because Mr. Bang looks at these guys as his family too, he takes very good care of them and TXT.

In South Korea, idols for boy or girl bands go through a training system. They come from all over to train. Some come from Japan, Thailand even the states.
Also they do have a dorm together to this day. Two of the members actually share a room still. But they do have their own houses. The youngest member purchased a new house like 2 weeks ago.

I’m 25 years old. I graduated with a communications major and began a career that was good but didn’t satisfy me and then I found BTS. I discovered a passion and now I’m back in uni to study visual arts and I’ve never been happier. I have a whole business idea and I’m so glad I found BTS. They changed my life.
You're correct that they don't have to live together anymore, but they choose to. They were asked once on a t.v. show in Korea ( Knowing Brothers show) if they would move and said they'd rather stay together because they feel lonely without knowing each other are there.
Edit: But just to be clear, they do live in a giant mansion. One member (Jin) was complaining that he was wandering the halls to find Jungkook and got lost, he also found it funny that Jungkook was actually in the room that was basically next to him but just hadn't heard Jin calling him😂😂😂

Namjoon's speeches always make me cry bro. I would actually recommend watching a guide to the 7 members of bangtan. It dives deeper into each member instead of doing BTS as a whole. And a live performance would be awesome!
