- Mazda's crossover lineup has a middle child that's not too big and not too small. Sitting between the Mazda CX-5 and the Mazda CX-9, the 2021 Mazda CX-8 can either be a 6 or 7-seater. Equipped with the brand's 2.5-liter SkyActiv-G gasoline engine, the midsize crossover is surprisingly great when it comes to driving. On this episode of Behind the Wheel, we review Mazda's middle child for the Philippine market.

We are living in Thailand and own both a CX-5 and CX-8, both with the 2.2 l Turbodiesel, which is a great engine for both cars. The CX-8 has a range of more than 900 km. The CX-8 feels significantly bigger than the CX-5, but is very comfortable.
Fortunately we also get all the safety features like adaptive cruise control and automotive emergency breaking which make long drives far more relaxing.
Our CX-5 here don't even have adaptive cruise control and i'm still wondering why.
We don't get these cars in Canada but I find your charisma so entertaining. Also the Philippines is on my bucket list for a future trip.

We've owned the car for a year and its a blast! I love the rear shades, one touch windows and seat heaters. I've also been asking y'all to review this for almost a year lol and I did notice the CX8 at the rear in the Jimny review! My soul can finally rest, thanks Autodeal! :>

The year 2020. It was a special year for Mazda as we celebrated our 100th anniversary. Last year, a special 100th anniversary edition of this CX-8 was launched in Japan.
I fell in love with this car at first sight and bought it. The stable driving performance and comfortable equipment make it a joy to drive.
I have been traveling all over Japan in this CX-8. This is a great car!👍

Few things that I really like about mazda are there design, because there design looks really luxurious, they are not downgrading their cars, almost all their cars are 2 exhaust (exept the bt-50 and mazda 2), they are still have a cd slot because my family still using cd on our cars.
As of now, price for Mazda CX-8 top of the line and Fortuner is almost the same. Are they in the same category? if so, which would be a win?
I was always sure there was something ''incomplete'' about the CX5!. Now I know where the feeling came from. The CX8 was what the CX5 was originally intended to be!

CX-8 is a combination of CX-9 and CX-5. Taillights of cx9, dashboard of cx5, front design of cx5 but the grill of cx9.

Sir caco whats wrong with a dvd player? I prefer old school cd's rather than listening through spotify etc... Old school cd's sounds much more dynamic and crisps.
They just don't get it lol the audio cd bitrate has like 3x the rate of the MP3 format -- plus you add the Bose system. 💯
