Thanks for looking after me mate ; ) I'll continue regular content here again this weekend, next build video will be up in 2 weeks though - I've to catch up with a review first.
Sehr interessant!
Excellent video & beautiful work with the old Dragon kit! I am impressed with the research you have done & I learned a lot about the unique features on the initial Tiger I tanks. Thank you! 👍👍
Hi Kai again many thanks for the detailed information on these early Tiger's something that I may have missed. I also have this kit in my stash so no excuse for me.. take care and look forward to your next video. 👍😎
Hi Paul, thanks the comment, very nice to read from all you guys again. This kit was fun for getting into tigers. Dragon did a great job when they came out with that one.
@@Tankbrusher Yes Kai Dragon did a good job in there day but things have moved on and I now prefer Rye Field Models but no doubt they have there minor errors but I think in my opinion they are the new Dragon and worth the money. but I still have a lot of dragon kits in my stash to get through. thank you for taking the time to reply. 👍😎
@@paulhumphriesz4557 Aside from nostagy comparing ths one and the RFM one, Dragon did much better with the 1st. release. Excellent job done Kai! Your attention to detail and historical accuracy are out of this world. Looking forward to see the next update. Thanks for sharing, take care and keep up the good work my friend.

Hi Kai, it's nice work. Actually, Dragon #6252 at 2015 is legend kit now. But I'm really looking forward to RFM initial Tiger. Anyway, 3D printed track is absolutely excellent. Many manufacturers will release 3D printed track of Tiger I soon. So, I'm looking forward to them too. Have good time and stay safe my friend. Best wishes, NOB
It's almost there, got again out of schedule. It'll be up next week alongside a review I'm overtime as well. Never being able to catch up on demand is very well fitting. Just delay the offenive till mid next year xD
Once again a well-made video from you, I also liked the explanation very much. You are one of the few modellers who also build a Dragon Tiger from the first edition ;). My early and late Dragon Tigers from the first edition are well protected in storage ;). Watching you makes me want to build my early Border Model Tigers with your resin tracks, as the kit tracks are segment tracks where you still have to fit the guide teeth yourself. I am curious about your paint job. cu Markus
Hey Markus, I bought 6252 for pure nostalgy, but it's a very impressive kit nevertheless. I do have a few more modern Dragon Tigers as well. Border Models Tiger does need a lot of attention and replaceing the tracks will generate some spare time used to fix some other parts : ) This one will be grey, me hugging Tank Art 1 - the RFM one will be winter camo.
Hi Leon, sry for answering late. The best free source of information is tiger1.info For books there is "the book" by Jentz and Doyle DW to Tiger I and a good phot series by Volker Ruff. I do own most of the other books about this topic, therefore it's a lot cross checking different sources - I named the best entry point everything else is supplementary and building up on these. Wolfgang Schneider is good resource as well for the operational overview, Spielberger has a good book as well - Jentz cleaned that one up in the one I mentionend before.
I'd not overpay for this kit since RFM 5075 is giving you the same tank with better tracks. I'd not go as far as calling 6252 obsolete, yet it basicly is. Both Dragon and RFM do have about the same amount of mistakes (even the same parts: Mud guards rear, Air intake cover, road wheels). If you're interessted I publish the RFM one soon. V1 is next, RFM after, before I'll paint them.
danke Dir. Not that I know. This one was delivered from the factory to Fallingbostel's baracks as far as I know. For demonstrations the 3 V-series vehicles are better candidates - not an expert though. In April '42 only V1 was "ready" in April '43 already about 200 vehicles were produced. This one was in the east at that time - therefore I guess this one never was at any birthday presentations for the person in question.
Great work! I enjoyed seeing your changes on this build. Now it makes me wonder if I missed any on my own build :)
Thank you Evan, these Tigers changed a lot between september and January - your Tiger 100 has lot's of small features being very different from 111.
2:15 ah yes, the new 1/5000 model of Trackograd. Very nice detail on the windows of the building blocks.
