We were almost as frustrated as you just watching you wrestle with that line. Thanks for a great shout out, we wasn't expecting that. Cheers Fran and Rich x
What a great gift Jenny 🎁 sent you Sean. Yvonne's picture of Rusty was absolutely lovely and the book from Caroline and the coasters from Fran and Rich , you have such lovely viewers . I enjoy it when you open your presents and it's time for a cup of tea xx 😊
Sean I have not laughed so much for ages, you rivalled Norman Wisdom 😂. I am so glad the toolset will be a help, some more videos like this one would be great.jenny
That contraption is enough to send me over the top. I think I would stick to bringing my clothes in if it starts to rain. You have sooooooo much patience Sean. I would have given up. Good on you.
Good laugh watching you with the washing contraption xx Ditch it and use the pieces for something else! You gave the neighbours something to speculate about! LOL xx Love the dresser x
I was feeling a bit down this morning but then I saw you had a new video to watch. Your shenanigans with the washing line made me laugh so much! Love your new dresser/desk, it's a lovely addition to your home 💕
Hello Sean….. well what can I say !!! You had me in hysterics with the washing line😂😂😂😂😂 10/10 for perserverance. Love the bureau, I have one very similar…. It’s looking very cosy in the lounge. Enjoy your cuppa! See ya soon xx❤
Wow be much easier to just bring your washing in!! Love the bureau and fits perfectly . Hope you get your allotment soon ready to plant all your veg.Look forward to following that. Be happy 😘
Oh my goodness i wouldn't have had your patience with that washing line contraption 😂 Your old cabinet is lovely. A light in the top recess would be great 😊 I love your videos 😊
My grandmother had a desk similar to that. I think they are so lovely as well as functional. In the U.S., we used to call the style a secretary desk. I think you will enjoy using it.
What a device. Hahaha. I thought it was going to be an electronic gadget. It would detect rain with a sensor and then pull the cover over the washing line with an electric motor. I first thought wind would be the main problem tearing at the cover. This design would only work with pouring rain. The clothes would get wet before the thing gets going.
Oh my days Sean, i have laughed so much at the Shenanigans of that washing line contraption,😂😂. I would have put it in with milk bottles in recycling bin. Ha ha. Bless your heart, you have the patience of a saint. Thanks for the laughs!
I have fallen victim to gadgets that seemed like a good idea but the practicality of them leaves a lot to be desired. Absolutely adore your new writing desk. There is something special above give older pieces a new lease on life. Just think of the stories it could tell.
Bore da Sean oh you make me laugh the things you come out with knickers and socks 😅 so lovely to have a chuckle in the morning 😊 your vintage cupboard desk is beautiful I love old furniture it's the best you can have .I am intrigued by that washing line I too would give it a go Sean Im curious too .have a lovely day take care love from at the moment sunny Aberystwyth ❤❤
Lovely cabinet. Wooden furniture, especially older pieces do have a lovely nostalgic smell about them. I wonder if your neighbours were filming you trying to get the washing line contraption to work.😂 Almost a Frank Spencer moment there. I really wouldn’t have the patience with it. You had more patience than me for you to have tried for as long as you did to set it up.
"I know I want to live the slow life, but not this slow -" lol it is a bit of a faff! lol good idea maybe but the execution is problematic. Thanks for the video! I love your new desk. I saw it in the last video, and longed for it myself. Good score! Fits perfectly.
Absolutely lovely piece of furniture and fits perfectly. I like that it is not only a desk but also storage in the bottom and display special items or books in the top behind that beautiful glass. What a great find.
Such a beautiful peace of work. I'd give a lot for a cupboard like that. Your postings are great. I'm so happy to have found your posts. Wendy in Vancouver, B.C.
Hi Sean what a lovely piece of furniture great to see it re homed love older furniture it seams to last longer and not fall to bits and it’s not grey just beautiful wood. I could see the enthusiasm going very quickly putting up that contraption, I could not stop laughing, personally I would have put it in the bin but admire the need to give it a go. On the flip side the tarp cover could be useful as a cover in the garden. Thanks for another great video .
Your new secretary desk is gorgeous. Love the stained glass in the doors. I would think that sheet would get dirty and moldy hanging outside like that all the time.
Love the writing desk/cabinet, very useful. Faffing about with that clothes line contraption thing would send anybody over the edge!! Good for you at persevering! Love the video!
Apart from the wind, my other thought was 'does it retract when it stops raining?' Just be ready for April Showers next month!😉. Then vision of Sean doing the hokey kokey, 'In Out, In Out, shake it all about', in time with the washing cover🤣🤣.
Hi Sean, you've more patience than me, that washing line cover thing would drive me mad. I absolutely love the new furniture, especially with the beautiful stained glass. That was a handy gift, the toolbox. Know exactly what you mean with some days going like you haven't achieved much, but this has been as usual an enjoyable video. Thank you Sean 😊
Your bureau/cupboard is very nice, I can't believe someone didn't want it either.what a lot of faffing about the washing line cover was,it was a thoughtful gift though, you could always repurpose it as an automatic shower curtain 😂 hope your sleep improves soon, take care 💜
I love your cabinet Sean, what a beautiful thing . I would chuck the washing contraption in the bin, more nuisance than it is worth. Kind of someone to think of you, but what a palaver to use . .Take care ..
I don't think the person realised just how fiddly it was going to be. Sometimes you do a kind thing & gift something & don't know how complicated it is to set up. I don't know if Sean specifically asked for it, but whoever sent it, did it with good intentions. They are probably thinking the same, but their heart was in the right place. Sometimes you don't know until you try🤷♀️
You are so funny...I find you really entertaining. You've got some flippin patience.I would have had a right paddy with that washing line. Aren't you lucky having so many lovely lady followers that send you those wonderful gifts? Lol. Looking forward to the next vlog Sean.
I thought you might fall when I saw you balancing on the ledge of your garden reaching out to assemble that laundry thingie! But I do love the cupboard you got, it's beautiful! And the tool kit was just what you need! Books to read and new photographs too! What a lucky guy!
Kudos for trying Sean😄 It was a bit trying but you gave it a go. The piece of furniture is gorgeous ❤ Also Amber 💓 Don’t worry about wasting the odd day here and there, it happens. Best wishes to you and I hope you get some good sleep 💤
Hi Sean, I think you'd be better off standing over your washing with a large umbrella when it rains! 😅 I must admit when I saw your live stream I did think the sheet needed to be longer. Such a shame the idea is good in principle! Pity it doesn't come with two sheets so you can have one at the other end! I liked your desk cupboard really good. 👍 You should be able to get those sort of handles at a DIY store, it should just unscrew. We have similar handles here on our cupboards in the bedroom. Nice to see Amber out and about bless her. ❤
Yay, you got the cabinet! It looks perfect in that nook🥰 I've been having a lazy day today after my night shift. I catnapped on the sofa for a little bit but tried not to go into a deep sleep so that I can sleep tonight.
Love your new secretary. It is the perfect size. I'm lucky enough to have my grandfather's family secretary. It was fun to see today's video that I watched you taping live yesterday. So nice to see your bulbs coming up. You're on your way with your home garden. I look forward to seeing the next plants go in. All the best from Texas 😊
So, you might use it until it "pushes you over the edge" ! Ha ha ha, I feel your pain! I can't abide flimsy gadgets like that, in theory it could work but in practice I doubt it's going to be very practical. By the time the little widget thing has filled with rain the clothes could already be wet, then when the cover moves over it might seal in the damp. That bureau was a nice find, it looks just right there.
I've got a good idea Sean, cut all the cords, plastic bits etc. off the plastic sheet and use the sheet as a waterproof cover for your garden chair, when you get one! Just a thought!
Hi Sean! Love your cupboard. I have one very similar to yours in my little back bedroom, but we refer to the style as a secretary! It holds my writing materials, journal, laptop, stamps and favourite books, the bottom doubles as storage out of season clothing and linens! I have a comfy chair, and afghan and a good floor lamp in there too so many hours are easily passed on stormy days with a good book and mugs of tea! I think I spend more time in that little room than the rest of my home! You were right about the clothes line! A good concept but poor execution. any little gust of wind would have the rain sheet flying! 😂
I always miss living in a flat where there was clothes lines under a roof down the side of the garage. We could put our washing out in all weather and it'd dry. Where I live now, if I had that useful sounding device on my washing line it would get blown a few kilometers in the next heavy wind unfortunately. Thanks for the video!
What a fine cabinet! Certainly too good to waste and perfect in every way. It’s so wonderful to see your garden tulips, hyacinths and daffodils on the rise! I think Amber went to check them! 🐾🐾🐈⬛ Sweet kitty!
You've got a lot more patience than me. That would've gone in the bin about the 1st 5mins. What a load of crap but glad you did it. It entertained me 😂
Bin that washing line Sean! Just more plastic rubbish, sorry to say it 😞. Use a stainless steel folding clothes dryer, easy to move around in the garden and in and out of the kitchen. Buy a large polythene sheet to cover it IF rain due and your going out. I've been doing that for years and works brilliantly. Loving your videos Sean. Take care 💚
What a treat I’ve had today, first the video I missed yesterday and now a very enjoyable vlog, I thought you got through a lot today Sean, battling with that rain cover, and showing off your new desk/cupboard etc.👍🏴
I think you leave the pegs hanging at intervals ready to clip washing on looks a bit heath Robinson to me but a kind thoughtful gift. The beaureau I guess is 1930 ish I had one viritually the same you couldn't of got anything better your room will be perfect just need some books and a welsh blanket happy writing
Hello Mr. Cameron, I was chuckling to myself as you had a running monologue with the clothing line contraption. I would say the same thing under those circumstances. Thank you for sharing the buds of the spring flowers in your garden. I live in Southern California and we done have four seasons here. I miss the seasons. I am glad you're feeling better. God bless you. God bless Wales.
You know that expression, “it was like watching pain dry”? 😂😂 I think we can all agree a 10 out of 10 for effort Sean. That will never catch on 😂 will it? 😂😂😂 It was very entertaining though to see you try. In a theatrical voice… BLUE SHEET BE GONE!! Have a restful and peaceful sleep young man. Hello Sean......What a beautiful furniture addition to your cozy home. It's truly gorgeous and no wonder you couldn't resist purchasing it. You have the perfect spot for it too. You have such homey, cozy taste. As for the clothesline adventure, I'd have given up on it early into the escapade. Good idea BUT, still soooo many wrinkles. What a thoughtful gift the tool case was. It must make your heart happy to know how much people love you. Fondly, Dorothy.
A secretary desk with hutch. Nice find! Always wanted one. I like the new-fangled clothesline. Might be good during the rainy season. Terribly nice of someone to give it to you. Not a day wasted, you tried something new. Exercised your brain.
Oh wow, what a beautiful cabinet. I agree a small uplight in the top will show it off to perfection. Perhaps oiling the wood will bring the colour out even more. I had to agree with you that although you had great patience putting up the new line, the cover needs to be larger to go over a line of clothes. Good idea, but in practice not ideal. Who really wants a milk bottle on show! Ha ha! Bye for now.
Beautiful cabinet Sean. Think the line is hard work. Have you got anywhere for a small rotary line? You can place cover over it when the line is folded down. 😊
Oh Sean what a laugh that washing line is, just enough cover for three tea towels I think lol!
Sean I would loose the will to live if I had to do that every time I put washing out ..lol..have a great week .xx
Or at least your will to do your laundry lol.
I would of,lost my mind setting that up
My wife would tell me to.....well I know you might guess what she would say....if I brought this home to her....😂
😂
@@ohmeowzer1 I lost my mind long ago over contraptions like that.
